Refused service before closing

I guess the new person didnt know I saw the sign that you prohibit refusal of services before closing time. I have been going for years and have never been refused service before closing. My rating was a four or five until now I noticed they never refuse my payment!

Ripped off my credit card...

Do not give this company your credit card number. Increased their subscription rates over 300% and proceeded to charge my card without notifying me of the increase either by email or text. Very sly and when i called them they said its their policy to do that. My monthly charge went from $10 to $42.90 and they said no refunds even though i didn't use their service and didn't agree to the excessive charges. Never again, lesson learned...i hope they face a class action lawsuit.

Canceled my membership. I want a refund of the raised membership price I was charged.

My membership fee doubled I was never made aware of it. It was deducted from my bank account. I immediately canceled my membership now I want that $42 refunded to me ASAP.

Unauthorized increased charges with no notice

After being on a monthly auto-charge plan for 10.99 a month for about 15 years, Zoom Tan arbitrarily raised my monthly rate to 42.90 and charged me this with NO NOTICE of any kind of the change! I cancelled my account as soon as I saw this. (BTW, I have not even used the service recently.) I have disputed the transaction with my credit card company, as Zoom is clearly unwilling to be ethical about this. I can't imagine that they will not lose a lot of customers over this. They are money hungry and willing to be fully unethical in their practices.

Try to get my money back since you guys take $43 without my authorization

I'm not happy $43 for zoom tan it's nothing. For me $43 I can feed my family in a day I will not recommend it.

Stealing money from my checking account without notifying me

Went into tan after 38 years at the same location and was informed my membership price was being jacked up. I was told I would be texted. I never was. I showed the district manager that I never received any text the reason why I canceled immediately is because I was charged the new rate without being notified directly out of my checking account Without my consent In case corporate doesnt know thats called stealing from your loyal customers I wiil who persuade customers away to other tanning locations that dont steal from their customers. After 38 years of going to the same location, purchasing your high price lotions, and still paying during Covid, you feel the need to steal its just bad business and someone other than your customers should inform corporate of that, you are greedy and shady for taking money out of peoples accounts without notifying them. To the stupid corporate people that made that decision, you will never see another dime and I will be sure to sway people away, and it will affect your bottom dollar for your poor decision making and shifty stealing. Normally I would say best of luck, but I hope with all my heart this affects your bottom line dollar and I will do whatever I can to make sure whether its one person or a 1000 people that stop going there because I will informed them that you steal. So on that note Ill be the guy in the parking lot informing customers the pricing and locations of other salons in the area that they can be loyal too. If you are stealing from your customers I can only imagine what youre doing to your employees. Im just glad Im at a point in my life I dont have to worry about corporate pigs that will stick it to their customers and stooge their employees out just for their own greed, Covid is not an excuse anymore, we supported you and were loyal When we werent allowed to go into the salon during Covid. At the end of the quarter or the end of the year If your dollar amount keeps going down please put this email up on the screen and show the rest of your company that you made a stupid mistake by ripping off your loyal customers.

Bias with "pale" individuals

My post was deleted so im posting it again. I am writting this post in regards to your Zoom Tan commercials. I find your advertisements offensive and bias to state the phrase of "go from pale & pasty to tan & tasty". The dictionary uses "pasty" as a sickly or unwell looking person who eats a poor diet and lacks color. That reference I consider appalling along with many other "fair colored" individuals your ad insults. Many people who are considered "pale" eat a healthy diet and spend time outside using sunscreen. Many can't go in the sun from being so "fair" colored causing them to burn. Others take prescriptions that won't allow them to go in the sun without adverse effects and etc... Choosing to say "tasty" to promote sales is unprofessional and crude. The dictionary refers to the word "tasty" as producing a pleasant flavor and feeling in the mouth when eaten. How this ties to a tan? It does not. I find your choice of words questionable since your business does not sell foods. I believe your company is sending out mixed messages that are not only bias towards "fair" skin color but include a sexual reference with a "tan being tasty". This is not appropriate expressing this prejudice and your personal views through public media and television. Many impressionable minds see and hear your advertisements. Making any individual feel inadequate over his/her skin color is unconscionable in this day. Many individuals like myself already feel insecure about our skin color because your Company's marginalization of pushing negative comments upon "pale" individuals. Your company is part of a accepted bias that has been tolerated to long. People's natural skin color is out of a person's control. Noone should have to defend it nor be subjected to the application of putting chemicals on their body to become darker or lighter to feel accepted. The beauty industry in general doesn't insult people to market their product but instead aids them in looking their best. Your company makes a substantial profit with tanning, you need not insult a category of caucasian people to promote sales. Why not promote your tanning products in a non discriminating way. Your company could instead say "enhance your tone" let your skin "show and glow". You need not push your bias on the public. I hear on television and radio logos saying "black is beautiful " and that's accurate but "porcelain" is also. The tanning industry makes money by making "fair skin" individuals feel inadequate to push their agenda of tanning. Your company should promote acceptance of all skin colors light or dark. As a consumer I realize your logos are in place to make sales however what you are implying on people's conscience is offensive to anyone "fair" toned who are made to feel less than beautiful for the color of their skin. We all need as a society to strive to do better. We need to set the bar higher for future generations by promoting unity not a division. This is not about ethnicity but valuing every individual as the beautiful soul God created them to be. We are all different and all unique and beautiful regardless of the color of our skin.

My experience and refund

I simply had a bad experience at zoom tan. I went to make sure that my membership was cancelled after my husband had bought a month of spray tan for me for mothers day...they told me that it was renewed that day..I told them that I wasn't able to do the spray tan anymore because of the way it was turning out on my skin, so they told me I wasn't abke to cancel it after it was renewed, I didn't understand why that is at all but I was stuck, so now 44 dollars was added to my credit card. So I switched it over to UV which is 10 dollars less but they told me I wasn't able to be refunded my ten dollars OK so here I am, being charged for a service that is 35 dollars but now being charged for 45 dollars. .ok so as I am now still trying to make this work I bought a lotion that was 60 dollars to protect my skin an enhance a ten, " they say" I have never done this before so also after buying the eyewash, which is necessary, I go into the room for tanning. After asking a few questions I entered in and started tanning, in the midst of it I forgot to put the lotion on, I wasn't sure how to stop the tanning and start screaming to get me out and went into a panic attack, I heard voices out there but no one stopped anything do I continued with the panic attack, shaking like a leaf now worried I'm going to get burned. I coukdnt understand why after hearing me scream "get me out of here" why she didn't come in anf just shut the machine off gir me and when it finally stopped and so i asked her that, she had no response. After I was trying to calm myself down for about 20 minutes explaining that I don't think I can do this, that I really would like to get a refund on the 60 dollar cream I just bought that she KNEW I never opened, anf could see that, anf she came up with several excuses why she couldn't and told me that this was the process that I had to go through to get my refund, so here I am. I cannot believe that after seeing someone in such distress that even after that there wasn't a consideration of that as to whether it was understandable that I was asking for a refund. That to me was pretty bad business, no matter what a so called policy was anf I honestly don't think it had anything to do with that, that it was more about her commission but then again, only she knows that. Do now I'm stuck with paying 45 dollars for a service I didn't ask for anf 60 dollars for a cream I can't use. There are always in life, exceptions to every rule, this, I definately feel should have been one of them. I wasn't even asking to be refunded for the service, I just asked for the cream, and still, I ended up being stuck. I'm not a person that spends my time complaining about things but this, for me was important enough, anf do over the top that I really needed to say something, so that this diesnt happen to anyone else, and also, I feel I deserve this refund that I am asking for. The cream is STILL unused. After all of this, I ended up feeling trapped in a situation I couldn't get out of, that's not the way a company should make a customer feel like.

My experience at zoom tan at vestal parkway N.Y.

My husband had bought me a one month membership at zoom tan in Vestal for mothers day, th inking that I would want to try it. I did, and did not like it so I went in to cancel my membership, only to find out that on that day they had renewed it for another month. I simply told them that I tried it for a month and wasn't satisfied with it, so I just wanted to cancel it, they told me that once it goes in, that they are unable to cancel. I then said, okay, then can you switch me over to UV, I will try that for a month and then cancel, they said okay but that they would not be able to refund my 10 dollars extra that I had paid for the spray tanning, and I said, okay whatever. Then they preceded to try and sell me a tanning lotion and so I ended up purchasing a 60 dollar lotion. I then went into where the tanning booth was and saw that it was a standup...I had never done that before so I was a bit apprehensive but I decided to try it and ended up having a paniac attack while I was n there, one of the reasons being that I forgot to put the lotion on...I was shaking like a leaf. When it was finished, though, even though I was screaming for help, though I could hear voices, no one helped me, and I had to wait till my 6 minutes were up. I was freaking, then as I was trying to explain that I don't think I can do this again, the girl kept trying to convince me that I could, later realizing that instead of being concerned about me, and what I was going through, she was more concerned about her commission. After, I tried to return the 60 dollar cream that she knew I never opened, she gave me a run around n how she couldn't do that, yeah right, again, she was more concerned about her commission. that is not the way that customers should be treated and I will never go back and i will spread the word on how I was treated!!! My advice, dont go to any of them, IT'S A SCAM!!!Also, this was on the 9th of the month, they told me I couldn't cancel my membership for ten more days...mmmmm why is that I wonder!!

Purchase term none refundable or exchanged

I bought a pair of Maui sunglasses as a gift , was told I could return for an exchange and of course I had to exchange and they did not honor their word. I was not given a receipt , when I asked for one. But receives a text with the amount charged to my card from zoom tan and the sales person told me that was all I would need to exchange . They did not want to refund or exchange. I only wanted to exchange for different color .. the glasses still had tag on it . Now I am out $212 and no gift to give.
