Faulty device

Brand new Bike Yamaha R15M has a faulty display. Visited Yamaha dealer for more than 10 times. Finally Display module was replaced but problem still persist. Even today my bike is with Yamaha dealer. It's very unfortunate to have such a faulty product due to manufacturing defect. Even after making frequent visit to Yamaha dealer problem not solved due to higher officials not paying any interest. To over come the expenditure and mental agony I would humbly request you take back the bike and return the amount paid for it. Ne

2014 Yamaha FX SHO Waverunner

I have owned Yamaha waverunners for almost 30 years now. My first one was a 1995 wave venture. My second was 1997 GP1200, and so on. I currently own a 2014 FX SHO and have been so pleased with the four stroke engine power and reliability. That said. The hull has been repaired 5 times and needs another repair. Yes I used to pull it up on the banks. Clearly not anymore. This race hull is just not fit for the real world. I see in the forums that Yamaha is going back to the previous bottom hull and I think that is a great idea for customer satisfaction and longevity. But what an I supposed to do with this one. I continue to spend money repairing the bottom hull because its so thin. I love this waverunner. But what am I supposed to do. Ive never ventured to any other brand because of reliability. But now. I guess Ill have this hull repaired for the sixth time and trade and try my luck with SeaDoo. Im sad. I believe in Yamaha. Could I get a factory credit for trade in on a new waverunner? If so. When are you officially changing to the thicker hull on the FX? Thanks for your concern and rapid response, Tim Harris

Poor reliability & Poor Service at high cost

There are few incidents which I would like to highlight for the above 2 concerns. At present the odometer reading stands around 15000Kms and my rear suspension is out. Suspension is very hard and loads are being transmitted to the chassis. I wonder about the reliability of the component that R15 offers. And all the 15000Kms the vehicle was used in the City,Highway and not on terrains. I am shocked to know from the service center that there is no repair or adjustment available in the suspension. And the solution is to replace the suspension only. Replacing a mono suspension for 7000/- (4.5% of product cost) after buying a premium vehicle at 1,60,000 is not acceptable for 15000 kms range. If this is what Yamaha has on its product reliability chart for this component, then this should have been added in your manual and notified to customers during the purchase.Even I am a design engineer at a MNC, so I knew the design constraints and challenges. But a premium product stands out due to its quality and Yamaha is deviating from Brand Value and quality. On the service front, I am very much distressed to say that Yamaha is going to lose its market value for the kind of service the dealers provide. I have serviced my vehicle in Coimbatore and Chennai but in both the locations only until free service the service seems to be good. In my recent service (At Shanthi Motors, Velachery road @ 14180 kms) they replaced the chain sprocket and other general services were done. But again within 14457 kms again I had to reach the service center as the front suspension was leaking. Irrespective of the problem, they had replaced the inner tube stating they are pit marks. But when I received the failed component there were no visible pit marks on the part. It was charged 3400/- Now it's around 15000 kms. I feel my rear suspension is very hard and there is noise in the front suspension (some kind of hitting noise) . Again I went back to the same service center and this time they mentioned rear suspension should be replaced and wheel bearing has failed. I feel rather than service, it has become a huge business and only money matters and not service anymore. "Yamaha care" is just in the words but not in the deeds and service. I also own a 4 Wheeler which costs ( 9 lakh) and service cost is less than Yamaha. Looks like I will reach the purchase cost in the next few kms range for service and component replacements only. This is the worst product reliability and service I have ever seen. My question is very simple, Why should I buy a Premium bike when I need to replace the major components within 15000 kms? So far service and replacement cost is more than 25% of the Purchase cost within 15000kms of operation. Premium products should have proper service and care . Whereas is this only business and Yamaha doesn't care once the products are sold? Does Yamaha visit their service centers , check the operator skill and customer responses and take action? This is one of the greatest regrets I ever had and I will never ever suggest or buy Yamaha products to anyone in the future.

Assistance On Plate Number and OR/CR and Employee Poor Customer Service

Dear Yamaha, I know the company has been in operation for very long and for that you have proven yourselves in terms of product quality, sales and after sales. While it took you to build such reputation it is disheartening to find out that some you're front liners during and after sales are not equiped with the right manners and probably the process in self. I have bought a motorcycle under PREMIO in Iligan in front of Robinson Mall and have paid it in cash to hopefully expedite the process and have its use served for its purpose only to find out that OR/CR may take 30 days as per the lady who answers the call upon calling their hotlines (0917312****), when searching the internet this is what I have seen. "According to the infographic shared by the chief and LTO's official social media page, it should only take dealers between 3-5 days to complete the registration process (OR/CR and number plate) for motorcycles, while cars and other types of vehicles should only take between 7-11 days." should this be true I do not understand what's taking it longer to reach 30 days. The lady mentioned that there is a back log. Is the back logs our fault or the company's incompetence to deliver in time. In similar manner when. Yamaha set's deadline for payment collections on loan, can we say we have bills payment back logs? surely not. We would have understand when our employees would have extend extra mile to expedite by making follow up because I believe this is not LTO's fault. More importantly in most corporation, corporations name is tarnished with poor customer service skills. Yamaha is better than this and I believe so. In so doing I look forward for your speedy support in this matter. Regards, Junebert Andam, RME Mechanical Engineer City Engineers Office (OCBO) Proprietor - Brew Bro's Mobile: 0916 459 ****
