Scammed by world recovery services

well where do i start? i know let me start with the day i picked up the phone and actually believed these people and that they said i had an unpaid debt to pay and threatened to take me to court if i didnt set up a payment plan that day. They are all a bunch of scam artists that i gave nearly 500 dollars of my hardworking money to and now will never see that money again because leonard potillo is a *** ***. also cj if you are on here your also a *** bag that lied to me over the phone and pretended you care about me.

Former agent

i worked for wrs for 8 months and just want to say that the when we called these people we were only doing what we were told and we were told these are validated debts and that anything anyone says to us is just an excuse or stall tactics. i did what i was doing under the understanding that it was all legit then the feds came in. i want to apologize to all those people i talked to and got payments from. from the bottom of my heart, i am sorry. (by the way i was always complimented by my debtors saying i was the nicest and most competent person they have spoken to and then i got told by management that i was too nice) the thing that sucks for us as the agents, is that we are not going to be paid for a weeks worth of work that we put in. im sure there were agents that were nasty...i just want to go on record to say that we werent all nasty like that. some of us still had a heart and cared about people.

World Recovery Services - Bad Job Review from Blackwell, Oklahoma

I used to work for wrs. It's the worst job I could ever apply for. They bought debt that was already paid and tried to get more money for. Now the owner is going to jail due to the feds kicking everybody out of the office for schemes. I feel sorry for the people I called to try and get them to pay a bill that was already paid for. Now since the owner is under investigation they are putting a hold on everybody's checks.

Rude customer service

I had an old bank account that was sent to collections after I couldn't make any more payments to the bank itself. World Recovery bought the account in 2011. Yesterday was the first time that they have ever contacted me. They will not provide any information conerning this debt unless I agree to a payment schedule. They are trying to charge me 200% interest. $120.00 debt they want $360.00. Repeated times I asked for something to bu sent--they cannot since the final mailing was done by the bank when it was sold to them. I will pay the account since I do owe the money however how can I pay it without any information that has never been provided nor will it.

World Recovery Services - Charge Review from Atlanta, Georgia

I got a call about a checking acct that I closed over 4 YEARS ago. I asked where all these charges came from and they couldn't tell me. When I would ask how I could find out they would just tell me what I needed to do was pay. A manager came on the phone (I didn't request it) and just told me the same thing. I told her I wanted to research it or at least get some info first before just handing over my money for something that hasn't even appeared on my credit (again it's been 4 YEARS). She just said "Well good luck with that." And then hung up on me. I mean seriously, I currently work in a call center and I understand people can be difficult, but that was completely unnecessary and uncalled for. I will not be paying them. If they want to take me to court over $127 then Gomez but it won't happen because it won't be worth it for them Trust me, I know, I work on the other side.

These people will not quit calling despite numerous requests to stop!

My husband's cell phone has received numerous phone calls from this entity. We don't know the person whom they are trying to reach. He has spoken to numerous supervisors over the course of years informing them that he has no knowledge of the deadbeat that they are trying to find. He also has a transcription service that charges him to transcribe every message. These *** are costing him $ and time. When he calls they say that they are not responsible for the calls. What *** They make the calls, they leave their contact number. They are responsible and they will not stop calling.

Rude.. wanting my social security number but won't tell me who they are

Phone call number from an 877 area code. The woman ask if I was---------. I said yes and she ask me to verify my social security number. I ask her what it was about and she refused to tell me unless I gave her my social security number. I told her I wasn't about to give out my social security number until I knew what this phone call was about. She ask me again for my number and told me she could not give me any info by federal law without the verification and that she wasn't going to break the law. I said, "who the *** are you?" She said "we have a file on you here in our office". I hung up.  Who in their right mind would give out my personel info with a call like this??!!!?!  She was totally unprofessional and extremely rude.  Thank you

Very poor customer service mgmt

Customer service reps ask for the debt to be paid. When explained situation and need to obtain information on what caused the debt = no help, refusal, transfer to manager. The managers over multiple attempts provide no information, do not understand K-3 words in short sentences, and conclude you refuse to pay the debt or else, when you are desperately trying to resolve it but need information. UCR personnel much more helpful in trying to resolve but source company wouldn't provide information either, requiring writing on paper to request and advise they know nothing of the other departments operations but that they are not supposed to be making outbound calls which they are multiple times a week. FTC?

Rude worker with wrong number.

They called my cell phone many times, and then I called back and told them that they had the wrong number. She said snootily, "Do you even know who we're looking for?!?!". I said, "Nooo," being 13 after all. But I did know from a previous voicemail, "So, we said ***** **********," and then she said," OK BYE!" Ruuudddeee! I do not appreciate the attitude used by the employee, although I do understand that many people are rude and lie to her. Hopefully the employee will understand my anger towards this situation..it's just so displeasing! I am not happy...thanks for reading!

This company are calling me and ask me about my last four digits of my SS number and the last person that call, told me that they will damage my credit if I do not paid, but they don't tell me what kind of debt I suppose to have with them and who they are representing in case that they are representing some body in specific. The person was very rude and threatening with me. I think that some body will have to investigate agencies like this one. Maybe the government can do something about this kind of companies that only matters for them are to intimated the persons.

They were cool to deal with

I got a call About a debt i owed. it was pretty old but it was mine. The agent i spoke to was very nice and helped me resolve the account. I even got a small discount off the total. I wish they had never found me , cause i had already fogotten about owing it. But at least the helped me out and were cool about it. I have been unemployed off and on and times have been tuff. i wish the other collectors i have had to deal with were willin to help me like these guys. most of them are just rude and make you feel worse than the sitiuation you are in.

Disrespectful supervisor

A lady called representing "world recovery services" , a man in the background kept asking questions and she would deliver whatever he was saying. I Finally got him on the phone and upon trying to get information, I figured out it was a collection agency and I began to put him in his place. when I asked for his name I kept trying to clarify the last name. He became irrate and told me that I need to grow up and learn to pay my bills. Now how is that possible on an account I closed personally with no balance!? Fraud is real America, be careful.

World recovery service

I worked here. This company is owned by Len Potillo with UCR and a midget coke head named mike Newkirk. They used to be owned my mike scat and called regent. I think they have always really been owned by the UCR guy. Their phone system sucks!!! They won't let us leave messages. They insist that everybody pay in full on each call or be fired. Don't be mad at the person you are speaking to. Mthey are just doing our job. They make us demand payments with no documents except a copy of an affidavit that looks fake. I am pretty sure that most of these people actually owe. It is not our fault they won't let us leav e messages and we have to demand full payment or be fired.

World Recovery Services

This company called my cell phone today claiming they are trying to collect a debt from an old bank I had in 2006 which I closed down in 2007/2008. The bank (name withheld) sucked, always screwed up my deposits and overdrafted me all the time because of their internal errors which is why I dropped them. Instead of closing out my account, they continued to overdraft me for account fees. I contacted several times to get the matter resolved but they refused. I joined in a class action suit because of the fraud committed by this bank and of course they lost and had to pay back millions of dollars. When I told the caller I didn't owe them any money and the account was closed and I never received notice of any alleged debt, she hung up on me.
