Very deceiving scam by ***

WPM,you would think is an upstanding elite business for the inventor in all of us,however you are dead wrong.....this business sucks you in by flattery, praise and encouragement only to take you to "the cleaners" BIG TIME. After we finally told them about our invention, their courtship of us was underway. And we (along with apx 1500 other hopefuls) fell for it. After giving them ALOT of money for promising tohelp us in many big and various ways to become successful......we hardly heard from them. When (after 10 months) we finally had enough run around and decided it was time to get a refund only to find out they are being investigated by the FTC for FRAUD with all their assets frozen and an appointed receiver. THIS IS NOT THE AMERICAN DREAM in any way!

World Patent Marketing - Customer Care Review

Submitted invention and got all jazz about we like these simple ideas. This is just what we're looking for. My project manager could sell bridges. He promised 30 to 90 day patent ready. He quit the job and then I got the run around for months. Finally sent me papers and sent in $9000 for patent. Well that was the last I heard for another several months. It went to the lawyers section. Got run around there for months. Sent them a working model of invention. Still nothing. It was like pulling teeth the whoe time. Never got updates. So I was an ***. Right after I sent them money, I was very concerned. *** *** ***.

Say good bye to your money

Be very careful with this company! It will start out submitting your idea to their website. Then I was contacted by Chris **. This guy is slick, he will make you think you have the best idea since sliced bread. Then they will hit you up for $900 dollar to consumer test your idea. Then Chris called me to tell me my product scored high and that we need to move forward, time is of essence. Remember they will tell you all kind of things. Starting off with this is where your work ends and theirs begins. They are only going to take 10% and you get to keep 90% and they are going to spend at least 50,000 marketing your idea. The risk is all theirs. All you have to do is pay for the patent and it only 12,995. They will handle all the patent stuff. They are going to use their lawyer and this will only take 3 to 6 months. Understand when I say these people are slick I mean it. Then I was transferred to a guy named Sergio **. This guy is going to take your money and promise you the world. Once they get your money this is where the fun begins. I didn't hear any from anyone for three months and if you get Sergio to answer the phone (This will take days) He rudely pass you off to the patent processing 1-88*-926-**** Ext-300. I think this is when I know I lost my money. But not going to make it easy on them. So I call patent processing and they will pull your file and they will email you with your lawyer info and they are contacting him too to make sure that he will get back to you. This was the first lawyer that was assigned to me. We traded email back and forth promising he will have everything done for me to review next week. Every week he had a new excuse why it would be next week. Then I received email saying he is no longer working on my patent that I need to contact WPM. Called processing and I was told they assigned me a new lawyer to better represent me. He name was Mark **. Contact Mark by email and he gets right back to me. Was told all the paperwork would be ready in a months for review. It wasn't long after a month that all contact ended with Mark. Here we go again. Called processing and I have a new lawyer and his name is Andrew **. I was told he would finish it the first of February. February rolls around and not to my surprise, still no paperwork! So I contact Andrew and he replied "Hello John, I am looking into this. For some reason you were removed from my client list hence why you have not heard from me so let me get to the bottom of this and get back to you." That was February 11 2017 and March 1st I received this from Andrew "Hey John, I wanted to send you an update with my current issue with WPM. They haven't paid me in months and the CC they use to file the apps has been declined. I am fearing the worst from them and wanted to let you know that around the 15th if these are not fixed I will be leaving WPM. I will reach out to you then and talk with you. Can you please provide me with your phone number to call around that date?" These are his words! Have email to back it. So I called processing and I was told due to the complex of my patent it was reassigned to Lawyer Rechel. I have sent Two email to Rechel and cannot get a reply. I told processing what Andrew said and all processing could say is she insured me that was not the case. Over and over again! I told processing I wanted to talk to management. I was told I would be contacted. Still no contact! Look good and you will see all the five star are people just starting. They will call you day and night until and I mean until they get your money. Then good luck! When you start with WPM and they still trying to get you money you will receive call from them wanting you to see how they are doing and wanting you to fill out reviews on them. They will ask you to fill them out before they even really do anything! If you read their reviews you can tell they are new to WPM. Here we are at the end and I can see my dreams and money gone! Wish there was a NO STAR review! Please look at athe email from one of the patent laywers.

I don't think it's a scam, but more of a cautious review

My mom has submitted and had her idea approved and is in patent pending status at WPM. I was allowed to go with her to Florida to meet with her project manager. He sure is a smooth operator, and yes, his energy is very positive and he seems like someone who is genuinely excited about your idea, at least hers. I hope that someone else out there is just as excited sometime, because the project manager really only works with you initially, then you keep getting passed on to the marketing department, or developing department, with no 1 contact to help you if you have questions. We have no idea who to contact at this point, and when my mom has tried calling to ask questions, she keeps getting a voicemail. You have a better response by emailing the company. Anyways, after springing it on you what they think you should patent, they tell you what it costs, and pressure you to come up with the money, in like 20 minutes. BUT OF COURSE THEY'LL DO A LICENSING AGREEMENT AFTER TELLING YOU WHAT THE PATENT FEES ARE. Like they are a hero swooping in to save you, when I don't know why they couldn't have told mom up front what the cost was. It doesn't change that much, and it's an even number anyways. Project manager boy knew and could have totally given her a heads-up on cost, but I get it, they are a business, so of course they want to take the Shark Tank route and be the bank for a percentage. The worst part though? I'm still getting there. The worst part about WPM is not the waiting for the patent app, because I get it, it takes time, and most people are very impatient. But the amount of mistakes and C.Y.A.s done by this company is unbelievable. My mom received an email that she was in patent pending status. ALMOST 2 MONTHS LATER SHE GOT A PHONE CALL THAT IT WAS A MISTAKE, AND THEY WERE HANDING HER FILE OFF TO A DIFFERENT ATTORNEY TO JUST START ON IT. We got multiple, different, reasons as to why that happened, which is where the C.Y.A. part comes in. That is 1 example of many as to how this company operates. Scrappy. I wouldn't say it's a scam or anything, although at this point over a year after starting this ordeal, I'm still not 100% sure as nothing has come of the patent pending status. I do think though that a person could maybe cut out this middle-man operation if they literally just wanted to get their patent pending, and skip the licensing agreement and all that, which mom did (which is why I think that she's being treated like garbage, she wouldn't agree to their little scheme) you could totally just find an attorney yourself to help you. Just sayin'.

World Patent Marketing - The Problem with their google Reviews.....

1) Everyone gets an assigned agent (red flag but nothing to out of the ordinary). 2) None of the reviews were about selling anything 3) Everyone was new and didnt have a lot of experienced with the company meaning the company must be new. 4) Every review and I mean every one mentioned the agents first and last name, fine if random but everyone in a real situation wold not do this 5) All reviews were recent 6) Everyone was so excited, just like me. think about it, how can everyone's idea be so good, according to WPM unless your telling them all the same thing. Yet the reviews were so good, EVERYWHERE. But I still said, okay, suspicious but lets see how long they take to ask for money and voila, in their first written communication, they wanted $1,395. Ahahahahahahaha "Warning Will Robinson, Warning" (Lost In Space) So I just started typing World Patent Marketing complaints, warnings and scams and a whole new and different WPM shows its head. Stay Very Far Away. P.S. Sherry - shame on you. I hope they have a warm place in *** for you.

Scott Cooper -- World Patent Marketing- Desa Industries

This site is an 11 month old company..They claim they are around for 5 years. They have bought and spent hundred of thousands of dollars to post positive reviews that are all made up..Please see links below and stay far far away... I used to work there and it's by far the biggest fraud on the net at this time..http://globalresourcebroker.com/world-patent-marketing-review/http://www.theguardian.com/money/2013/jan/26/fake-reviews-plague-consumer-websiteshttp://www.sitejabber.com/reviews/www.consumeraffairs.comhttp://www.yelp.com/biz/world-patent-marketing-miami-beachhttp://www.complaintboard.com/world-patent-marketing-complaints-l21737.htmlhttp://lawprofessors.typepad.com/tortsprof/2007/02/consumeraffairs.html THEY WILL STEAL YOU MONEY UNEQUVACCLY. IT'S EITHER $1,295 TO START OR THEY CAN TELL YOU IT'S GOING TO PRODUCTION (YOUR SO CALLED GREAT IDEA) AND ASK FOR UP TO 30K. I WAS TOLD TO SMILE AND DIAL... DO NOT SEND THEM MONEY.. MAY THE LORD HELP SCOTT COOPER SOUL.... BIGGEST THIEF WITH A LARGE CHECKBOOK ACCOUNT... STAY AWAY CONSUMERS.... World Patent Marketing Desa Deceive and lie to regular herd working people for the sole porpose of making money. Miami, FL / NY NationwideI am a former employee at WPM and let me explain you exactly how this scam works. First step is they'll tell you to send in your idea so that they can get it to their "professional" review team so they can determine if your idea is something they believe can be successful and if they want to help you work on it. - Lies! Next day they'll call you and tell you your idea passed the minimum requirements and they are now sending it over to the review team for more research and that most ideas don't make it past the review. - Lies! The following day they'll call and tell you that the review team requested more time to research your product ,which is usually a good sign because if they don't like an idea they'll usually drop it right away, so if the review team likes your idea you'll know you're on to something great. -Lies! Then on the 4th day they call you excitingly telling you that the review team loved your idea! they definitely see potential for it to be marketed or licensed to a major manufacture, and World patent marketing wants to be a part of your project! The next step is to create an "invention royalty analysis". They will tell you this is absolutely necessary and required by manufactures and If you were to create the analysis by yourself it would cost around $7K, but since WPM wants to help you, they will absorb most of the cost and your price will end up being $1,295. Now this is not in any way a patent, it's simply the research they claim you need before even thinking of getting your patent. Once the analysis is done they will give you patent options that range from $2,000 to $30,000. Now remember, no matter how dumb, ridicules, or unoriginal your idea may be they will always tell you everything I mentioned above because they want you to fork over the $1,295. The whole step by step process was simply created to get you exited about your idea and make you believe your millions of dollars are around the corner so that when they ask you for the $1,295 it'll sound like pennies. They have absolutely no intention of really helping you get your idea out there. They get poor people to empty their bank accounts, they get broke people to borrow the money, all by selling them a dream that for 99% of the people has no chance of coming true. They are literally the lowest of the low. Stay far, far away!Your review helps others learn about great local businesses.
