Woodfins Auto Parts - Transmission Review from Fontana, California

I brought a transmission from woodfins auto parts on 8/29/13 for my 01jaquar xj8 with a 3year warranty on 4/26/16 the transmission started slipping i tried to contact woodfins auto parts and got different company so i contact the AUTOMOTIVE RECYCLERS ASSOCIATION AND WAS TOLD WOODFINS WENT OUT BUSINESS IN 2014 NOW HAVE A WARRANTY ON A PIECE OF PAPER THAT IS NO GOOD

It took two engines

The first engine was sent and still had oil in it! This resulted in oil going where it didn't belong and the engine wouldn't run well. The second engine has been running well for two years now. They backed up their warranty but the labor reimbursement was only half. The bad engine cost me $1000 or more. The whole process took two months to resolve, not including the third month it took them to pick up the first engine. I strongly recommend going elsewhere.

What happened to my three year warranty?

I purchased an engine from wood fins for $1,295.97 and should have had a three year warranty. The engine went bad in less than a year. I am still trying to pay the loan off without a car. Now what do I do? I am disabled and living on disability with no car now. Funny thing the engine went out after a scheduled oil change. Really? I pray to God to help me because wood fins will not. Any help to be offered would be greatly appreciated.

Engine Review

I bought a newused engine with a 3 year warrenty and it seized up... Spent 1 grand to buy it and 1 grand to install it. They are nowhere to be found........

Woodfins Was Not An Honorable Company

Woodfins provided bad service from the beginning. Some say Joey Woodfin is an honorable man that just could not make it in the business. Last time I checked....honorable men do not take people's money and then go out of business. Joey Woodfin owes me $2,673 that I have not received a penny of. I have nothing to show for the purchase except a debit line in my checking account. An honorable man is responsible for those that work for him. He bears the responsibility of the company as well. When I along with all of the rest of the customers receive the money that is owed to us, then someone can say Joey Woodfin is honorable. Until then.....there is nothing honorable about the man except a thought in some misguided person's head. An honorable man walks the walk. I pray this post finds Mr. Woodfin. This country has lost grip of this concept.

Woodfin's was not a sham

Joey Woodfin is an honorable man of the highest principles and morals. He tried to modernize the parts business to benefit both the customer and recycler. Unfortunately there were too many obstacles to overcome and like so many other small businesses it didn’t work out. Joey Woodfin could not handle every transaction himself and obviously this person's transaction did not end well. Woodfin's was a respectable business run by respectable men. Today's business environment makes it difficult for small businesses to survive and social media makes it even tougher since you always get remarks from disgruntled customers but you seldom hear from the MANY who were well satisfied with the help and service they received.

You ripped me off for $1,500 for a transmission that was worse than the one replaced. YOU OUGHT TO BE ASHAMED OF YOUR SELVES. They totally ripped me off for $1500

I ordered a motor from them, after the 1st email with the invoice they never answered another email, calling on the phone took hours and on the rare occasion I got someone to speak to they promised they'd get back to me with shipping info but never did. They did ship something to the wrong address and then promised a refund which didn't happen and now they've closed their doors, supposedly. The local Va cops are worthless, they've received enough complaints they know of woodfins but refuse to do anything about it. I'm Doug_b_white@***.com, let's get together and try to get the attorney general involved

I got ripped off.

I ordered a cylinder head for $238.00. They said it was guarenteed to be free of cracks , and no warpage. I recieved it in a dirty, crackes beyond repair condition. I called to complain stating it was obvious if was never inspected as they stated it would be. They said to take pictures, which I did and sent to them. They then said they would refund the money but I never got a dime. BBB stated they are out of business and can't do anything about it. So I am out the money unless I sue. Isn't there something else that can be done to get the money back?

Complete rip off

We ordered an engine for $2500. When it arrived it did not work.The entire engine was locked up. We reached them and they said they would call our mechanic and get the problem resolved. That was one week ago. Not only have they not called but we can't reach them. Hoping to get our money back since it was done via credit card. This is the second on line company we have tried to get an engine from. Do yourself a favor and find your parts locally. Since you have to type one hundred words to post this review, I am continuing to write. I would love to fill it up with explatives regarding this company!

ORDER # 140908****, SUPPOSED TO BE HERE 9/14 RANDALL EXT 575* 300.00 PART, NEVER EMAILED SHIPPING INFO, NEVER CALLED BACK , NO ONE CALLS BACK FROM THIS COMPANY WHEN I WAS ABLE TO CALL IN GOT LIP SERVICE ABOUT HOW WOODFINS ORDER DESK WAS BACKED UP, WAS TOLD 9 14 WE WOULD GET AN EMAIL ON TRACKING INFO NEVER HAPPENED BEEN CALLING EVER SINCE, FAXED THEM, CALL THEM NO ANSWER OR ALWAYS BUSY, EMAILED NO ANSWER...TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE NOW I HAVE MY BANK ON THE PHONE TRYING TO GET MY MONEY BACK WILL NEVER DEAL WITH THESE JERKS AGAIN......NO WAY TO GET AHOLD OF THERE SUPPOSED LIVE CHAT......MAJOR BS FROM THERE REPS......I WILL BE FILING COMPLAINTS WITH VA ATTORNEY GENERALS OFFICE THESE PEOPLE TAKE YOU $$$$ AND HAVE NO IDEA IF THEY CAN SUPPLY YOU WITH ANYTHING, BUT THEY HAVE NO PROBLEM TAKING YOUR MONEY.....1ST OFF...... Beware this company!

I didn't know about all the reviews on here until after I purchased an engine through Woodfins. They took my money right away, said it would be here in 5 to 7 days. It never came. I called and got the run around. It will ship tomorrow. We'll contact you. Blah Blah Blah. I called to cancel today and they have my number blocked at both numbers I have. I called my bank and disputed the charge. Please people DON'T buy here, it's a nightmare!!! What folks here have said is very true. I think someone needs to put them out of business.
