Bad customer service

This hotel is the worst Ive stayed in. They dont want to clean the rooms. I have requested that someone clean my room for the past three days and theyre not coming to clean it. I called Hotels.com to make a complain and Im still waiting to hear from them. And the card key is always faulty. This establishment should be shut down. Im never gonna come here. Im seriously thinking about disputing the charges on my credit card

Didn't honor my refund for 173.00 Groupon. Kicked me out because I complained about the remote control not working, and the door *** fell off the door. Took them three hours to get it open.

Kicked me out the hotel, without refunding my Groupon money of 173.00. I wasn't giving another room because I complained about the dead batteries remote control and the door *** falling off the door. The manager and person who acted this way as Lisa. As I was calling cooperate office to complain, she and her worker were laughing. I was supposed to stay 6/15-6/17/23

I am an amicable and patient person, however this experience at the Wingate by Wyndham MCO Orlando Airport location has proven that their company is not accountable or moral. I did my best to resolve.

This review is of the hotel Wingate by Wyndham Orlando International Airport - MCO 5750 Hazeltine National Drive, Orlando, Florida 32822 +1-40*-***-**** As a hotel and specifically to the Wyndham Brand Name their promise is the following: "OUR CULTURE Our signature Count on Me service culture encourages each team member to be responsive, be respectful and deliver great experiences to our guests, partners and communities. OUR CORE VALUES Integrity We hold ourselves to the highest standards. Were responsible, truthful and transparent. We do the right thing. Accountability" according to their "Mission and values statement on their main website here:https://corporate.wyndhamhotels.com/about-us/mission-vision-values/ Yeah, that is a HARD LIE! On April 11th I checked into the Wingate by Wyndham MCO hotel. I paid $1272.48 cents through Hotels.com. Upon checking in: Problem 1. Day 2, our toilet no longer worked, and we had called down to the main office from our hotel room phone requesting someone please come fix it. It was about 8 pm and I was told no maintenance at night. I said ok, can I get a plunger and Ill try to fix it myself. I was told he would look into it and see what he could do about having someone come fix it and that they could not give me a plunger because only maintenance had access. I said ok, waited 2 hours with no contact and so I called down again (10pm by now, 4 people and now way to go potty). I got a huffy hotel attendant who Isaid *** see what he can do, and magically an hour later there is a knock on the door. I open it and no one is there, but instead a plunger waiting for me in a trash bag. There was no follow up from maintenance or a plumber next day or any following our 8 day stay there. So, we kept plunger by toilet and EVERY time toilet was used had to plunge it. therefore, becoming plumbers for the hotel property during our stay. Problem 2. Day 2/3 of stay, we started noticing itchy bites from something and I called down to the office again to address the issue. We asked for new blankets and mentioned said bites. The hotel attendant said he would make mention of it to the manager and have them follow up. Nothing the next day, or throughout the entire stay. I asked on not one, not two, but THREE seperate occasions for new linens and for the problem to be addressed. Each time I was tole that the manager would be informed the next day and would follow up. Nothing, ever, not a peep from the manager. Now, mind you we have been planning this vacation for a full year, so we made all of the daytime efficient by being out and enjoying Orlando with planned acticvities. Most of our time was spend there (the hotel) in the evenings. This is why communication was generally at night and not only that, but the hotel desk staff seemed to be the same one at night and then the same lady during the mornings. A whole different issue (which I will get to here in a bit) Problem 3. We were in room 423, and from the day we arrived until about the 6th day there, room 422 and the entire floor on that side our room was on smelled of rancid acid vomit. Whenever you passed room 433 it was the strongest place it was smelled and a very annoying sound like a generator was coming from that room 24/7. When I asked, I was told it was being cleaned. For 6 days? The smell was gross and made every trip to breakfast, out the front door or down to the pool, lobby very gross The smaller problems we endured, included roaches in the walkway through the main entrance of the hotel. Being told that things will be forwarded to manager and that they would make contact, but not once during our stay did anyone come up to the room, call my phone or make contact by email. I did my due diligence, I made contact with the office on 3 separate occasions about the deg bugs and getting bit situation. Each time met with Ill let our manager know and they will reach out to you. Asked for a new room, told they couldn't do it, asked for new sheets and blankets multiple time in hopes we could at least slightly alleviate the bites some by sleeping on top of sheets with new blankets to minimize exposure to mattress. I am a single mom, with a limited income and like I said, planned this vacation a year in advance including paying for it because I wanted to give my kids all I could. I do not have thousands of dollars to pick up and go to a new hotel because this one had the issues it did. I will NEVER go back, and I wish I was in the type of financial situation that I could have left mid trip and find a new hotel during our vacation to Orlando, but that was impossible. We were stuck at that hotel and at the mercy of the "manager" who was supposed to make contact. By the time we left not only myself but all 3 of my kids had bites on our arms, necks, torso and they had a snack fest on my legs. I looked like a polka dotted clown and could not stop itching them. I had to take Benedryl for 5 days upon getting home just to manage the itching and pain from how many bites I had. Imagine how it was for my 8 yr old. Thus why I saw my doctor and they prescribed me an antibiotic just to ensure the bites did not turn into some kind of skin infection, and told me to continue taking Benadryl to alleviate all the itching from my body's responses to how many bites I had on it. The day we returned I put in a complaint with who we booked the hotel thru, which was Hotels.com and sent pictures of everything, informed them of our experience and that we were literally eaten alive, had to be a plumber and service man to a property we didnt own because it was broken, let them know we asked for a new room, informed hotel staff of the issue, etc. I asked for a refund, being I had to spend money not only on a doctor, but upon coming home I had to discard all of our luggage and run my water and utility bill up just to make sure we did not bring the bugs home with us! The hotels.com team reached out to Wingate at Wyndham hotel and gave me a case number, said they should approve our refund but that it cannot be refunded until the hotel approves directly and gives them the ok. Hotels.com gave me a case number and told me to give it 24/48 hours for communication, since they had reached out to hotel while I was on hold with them and were unable to contact manager. Mind you this was all 4/19/2023 Fast forward to 4/24/2023 and still no communication from the anyone, so I call hotels.com to check the status of the refund, and I am told that they have not been able to get a manager to answer (hmm, no real surprise there). And dso they put me on a very long hold but call the hotels while IM on. They get ahold of someone who states she is the manager (some to find out she is not really, Ill explain in a minute). She say'd I never made a complaint to her directly and that she was the manager. Umm, ok a couple things, I made plenty of complaints and IF you were the manager and knoew who I was AND if your colleague actually left notes like he said he was going to on any one of the times we did reach out for help... WHY did you not stop me and say, I am so sorry I have been meaning to get with you over your complaints.? Because were I am coming from and if you are the woman who was at the desk each morning, you looked like a normal regular front desk employee just like the guy in the evening who I DID let know what was going on (because during our days, we were trying to make the best out of a *** situation and enjoy the vacation I came for and spent all my money on and planned a year in advance for me and my kids)!!! Secondly, if I let one staff member know multiple times, and it was SUPPOSE to be on the managers list to address, why would I bombard another employee (who I didn't know was the "supposed manager")? So...they denied my refund. The hotels.com rep told me they spoke with the hotel and relayed what was said, which is above, and that they would not refund my money. I asked what my options were and was told I needed approval from the hotel directly in order for them to refund the money I paid. Immediately after getting off the phone with them, I called the Wyndham 1-800 number to file a formal complaint. I made them aware of everything and included pictures as well. I was again given a case number and told that the hotel or Wyndham customer service would review this complaint and get back to me within a week for "proper" resolution. Fast forward to 4/27/2023 and low and behold I get a call from the actual hotel itself and on the other line it is someone who says she is the GM at the hotel directly. My demeanor is calm and polite as she asks me about my experience, I explain all of the above...again. I ask did they not supply my complaint and all of the pictures? At which time her demeanor changes to an accusatory tone and she says "We have rented the room and there have been no reports of bites since your stay, I explain that I have photos and provided them as well as letting your hotel staff know. She then attempts to diminish my position because I only let the PM staff know. I explained why(because we were gone during the days trying to enjoy our vacation and make the best of a already bad situation due to the hotel issues and I was awaiting the "Manager" to contact me". I then asked if the female that hotels.com spoke with was in fact a manager and if so and she knew our situation, why did she not stop me to address this? I was told she is "more of a shift lead". The GM, attempted to upend me and what we experienced and have the proof of by claiming I should have berraded anyone and everyone 24/7 and that my claims were invalid because no one else reported bites. Well for all I know, you had an exterminator in there and just rented it, of course no one's been bit, just give it a few days! Additionally, I offered to send her all of the same photos etc, and she said also send all of your medical stuff from your doctor. At this juncture, my attitude took a turn and I started to become pretty upset. I have provided photos and recounted our experience and reiterated it over and over to multiple agencies about what we endured, how it effected everything etc, not including enduring the actual experience itself, I was being told I was a liar essentially (when I have the proof and have provided it)...but now you want me to provide personal HIPPA PROTECTED information? When I called her out on this, she tried to back track and so "Well whatever your doctor will give you and the photos"... This is not Legal, our experience was not acceptable, the handling of this case has been shameful and I just want my money back! Shame on you Wingate at Wyndham at the Orlando Airport!

Horrible stay at Wingate by Wyndham Lancaster / PA Dutch Country

On March 22, 2023 my co-worker and I arrived at the Wingate at 2110 Lincoln Highway East in Lancaster PA at around 6:15 PM. We had made reservations on February 27, 2023, for two rooms with 1 King Bed. We approached the front desk to see a sign stating to the effect that We are away at this time but invite you to sit and relax in our lobby and would be returning shortly. At around 6:40 a police cruiser stopped out and walked to the front desk and a gentleman came from the back area and talked to the officer as if he had known him. After they concluded their discussion, the gentlemen returned out of sight. I then approached the front desk, knocked on the protective enclosure and he came back out. I said we would like to check in and the said he thought we were just waiting for someone in the lobby. I told him that we have booked two rooms with a king bed. His reply was an abrupt We dont have them. He said we have three options, 1. Both of us could stay in the same king room, he had a king bed room and a queen bed room or we could go somewhere else. I stated again that we had reservations, and his response was Too bad. After asking what he could do for us he reluctantly said he would not charge the tax on the one room which amounted to about $10.00. I then asked for a wake-up call for both of us at 2:45 as we had an early appointment to continue our travels with another business group. He said OK 3:45 and I said NO 2:45 and scribbled something down and we were off to our rooms. I had set my phone alarm to 2:45 to insure I awoke in time. We never received a wakeup call but fortunately we both had to foresight to set our phone alarms. When I went to get out of the shower I was shin deep in water. When I went to check out at 2:15 nobody at the desk. Again, knocked on the enclosure and the same guy came out. I said I did not get a wake up call and his reply was I forgot. I asked him to ring my coworker and he asked me what room he was in. I told him I had no idea as I did not check him in. Asked for a receipt and he gave me one for my room. After tossing it to me through the hole in the protective barrier, I ask for one for the other room and his statement was You can get these on line you know. I have traveled around the world even to third world countries and I have never been treated like this in any Hotel, Motel, or campground. If negative stars could be awarded this place would look like hells solar system.

Bias decisions made by higher management of facility, lack of information and communication with guest. With lack of communication of said situation of People on there do not rent list,

I have been staying at Wingate 4701 Saul white Blvd. In Charleston,s carolina 29418,when I rebooked my my room I called to front desk to let them know I would b another ten min till I came to sign paperwork.when I came to desk two ladies came to me and said they would honor my current booking so I would not lose my money but because I had two people rooming with me that were on there do not rent list. They admitted to prior knowledge at about 11:20 a.m. sat. The seventh of January if 2023 at front desk, but took no action days prior, not even a heads up for me to handle situation. They then told me that sat would be the last day they rented to me,which left me homeless and still currently trying to find other options with my budget.I feel it was very unfair to me was definitely not a very professional decision at all.Plenty of other guest that were present felt that it was unfairly decided.

Poor service

I will never stay at a Wingate ever again after my horrible experience at the location in the Willowbrook area of Houston. I arrived at my hotel at about 1:00 AM after driving 15 hours from Ohio. I work for State Farm as an adjuster and was coming to Houston for my new assignment. The front entrance was locked upon my arrival. I called the front desk, and received no answer after multiple calls. 30 minutes later they finally answered the phone. The clerk stated what do you want this time of night we are already booked. I replied that I had reservations and he said say what *** and hung up the phone in my face. They would not let me inside to the front desk. No one was present at the front desk for almost an hour at this point. I got inside by following a nice couple inside. When I finally got someone to the front desk she was very racist and treated me with disdain. She had a white Hoodie on that she used to cover her face as if I was a *** off the street. When I attempted to pass her my phone to show her my reservations she looked at me like I was stinky. Then she asked would I read my confirmation out loud while turning her nose up at my phone. Finally, she tells me that my reservations had been canceled at 3pm without sending me an email to inform me of how she deliberately canceled my reservation to give it to someone else. I asked how could you cancel my reservation that was paid for without my consent. She stated I don't have to give you a reason if you not here by 3pm we can cancel your reservation if you booked through Priceline. I asked her about my refund and she stated talk to Priceline that's not my problem. I informed her that I'd been driving all day and got caught in traffic in Arkansas which delayed my arrival to Texas. She said it was nothing she could do and walked off nonchalantly. I ended up having to sleep in my truck because all the local hotels were booked up. This is the worst experience with a hotel I've had in my life after 20 years on the road as an adjuster.

Treatment and miscommunication

The guy who checked us in never charged our card and put down we paid cash. When they changed shifts and did an audit the manager came pounded on our door and woke us up at 6am and said the cops were on the way.

Was told my room didn’t exist

The front attendant caused unneeded problems when he lied about my reservation not being real and had me waiting hours for a room which was a waste of my time and money.

Hotel cancelled our booked reservation for no reason

Would My husband and I booked our reservation months out for our anniversary get away. They called and cancelled our reservation the week of because they have a booked hotel and gave our room to other customers. You kicked out a veteran and his wife on Veterans Day weekend so you could make more money. It doesnt get much worse than that. We cant tell you how disappointed we are. There are no hotels left in the area and if there are they are far more than we can afford. You should not treat people like that.

Horrible Stay

I recently stayed at an Wingate by Wyndham and it was a horrible stay! From the beginning of check in the front desk associate was sagging and had to use one hand to type and the other to hold his pants up. Then the elevators was broke and the fitsness room had not one piece of fitness equipment as advertised on the website! Once in the room the couch, curtains, microwave, and tub all were dirty and rusty!!! The paint was peeling on the walls as well as roaches crawling on the wall. I really hate that this horrible hotel is a representation of you all and would advise NO ONE TO EVER STAY THERE! This hotel should NOT be apart of you all franchise and hope that you all look into this horrible business immediately because this is not an acceptable staying condition for anyone to be in!!! Wingate off Mills rd in Houston, TX.
