Entire 2nd Level of Sub-Flooring is a TOTAL F'up

I PURCHASED MY ANATOLE SUBDIVISION HOME IN 2016 AND TO THIS DAY I AM STILL ON THEM ABOUT FIXING MY SUB FLOORING. I HAVE HAD THEM COME BACK SEVERAL TIMES TO FIX MY SHAKELY, LOOSE BOARDS & SQEEKLY FLOORS. I CONTINUE TO GET THE SAME TEMPORARY FIXES AND MY FLOORS CONTINUE TO DO THE SAME THING. THE WORST WARRANTY DEPARTMENT I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH, THEY NEVER RETURN PHONE CALLS. THEY CONTINUE TO PASS THE ISSUE ON TO SOMEONE ELSE. THEY SENT OUT A SUPERVISOR DARREN TO CHECK MY FLOORS & ALL HE SAID WAS WHAT HE COULDN'T DO!! **A WORD TO THE WISE "DO NOT PURCHASE A WILSON PARKER HOME" WHICH IS NOW D.R. HORTON'S PROBLEM!! SMGDH.... FOR ALL THE MONEY IT TAKES FOR YOU TO PURCHASE YOUR HOME THEN YOU CAN NOT GET THE BUILDER TO CORRECT HIS PROBLEM.

Extremely poor roofing repair

I purchased a Wilson Parker home in 2014. Even before moving in, we noticed a leak in the ceiling of the bedroom. Reps came out and had "roofers" fix a leak in the roof. A few months later the same leak led to half of one of the living room walls (2 story) and hardwood flooring being removed and replaced. WP again sent people to fix the roof leak. It is now almost three years later and now a massive leak is appearing in the same place. Because the two year period for repairs has passed, I called my insurance company (USAA) and they sent an inspector out. He went on the roof and told me that he had never seen such a completely poor job of repair.... it was as if they have sent a teenager up there who had absolutely no experience and no idea where to start. It had material, such as extra siding and ceiling tiles literally stuffed in the area where the leak originated as if stuffing enough junk in the hole whould keep the water from entering. Over the three years, much of this trash was dislodged by wind and rain and now there is rotting, leaking, etc. This is the absolute definition of "shoddy" and Wilson Parker reps should be ashamed. The bottom line is that insurance won't cover much of the repair work because the original repair was so badly done. I will be stuck with a bill for the repair.

Wilson Parker Homes - House Construction Review

This is my first time buying a home and I purchased the turnberry plan. The house is falling apart seems like. Starting off with bricks breaking off, crumbling from my house, the garage door was not set properly causing the doors to crumble. They did not take any responsibility for the garage door I had to hire doors by MIKE to come and replace two of my garage doors ($800). This happen after only two months in the house. My water keep shutting its off so I have to go under the sink to push this little *** down to restart it. Th first week in the house all the electricity down stairs went out they had to go into the wall to do some rewireing. I also had a few bad appliances that had to be replace. All in all just a very bad horrible experience they make you feel great before the purchase but afterwards they are so unprofessional. I forgot about the gas leak coming from the fire place. I applied for my one expection seven months ago and still waiting. If you can please avoid this company. Thank you

My Wilson House is a Lemon, I have had nothing but problems since I purchased this house in 2015, now am being told they cannot fix a leaking roof because am out of Warranty

I just need someone at Wilson to listen and help me. My house is barely two years old and the roof is leaking. When I initially called the Warranty Dept and spoke to Hope, she was helpful and sent a work order to Jana the Roof builder. They came climbed up on the roof stated they found the leak and fixed it. Two weeks later it rained for 3 days straight, I noticed the ceiling in my Master bedroom was wet in more than one place and some section has started cracking which tells me this ceiling is about to come down. Calls to the warranty department were return by Kimberley who left a msg telling me that my roof was out of Warranty and that it will cost me to fix the roof (Really). This is a brand new home I should not have a leaking roof not even two years into owning this home. I noted someone in this forum stated they spoke to a VP, I would love for that VP to call me or any executive that works at Wilson to contact me please?? I have owned two other brand new homes in GA, and the roof was always covered for at least 10 years, and even then those roofs never leaked. I am 54 I should not be expected to climb up on the roof, besides it's a brand new home. I feel my Wilson house is a Lemon for the following reasons: My Master bathroom floor creaks, and I was informed they could not fix the problem. When I first move in their was a huge leak in my garage, it took a few calls for the issue to be fixed, the leak turned out to be an defect from the shower, the shower pane was defective, they had to rip apart the whole shower and it was after this fix that the bathroom floors began to creak and I was told they cannot fix it. I did not have use of my shower for almost two weeks. They had to rip apart the garage ceiling looking for where the water was coming from, the guy who rips came and ripped. Then I had to call Warranty for the guy who plasters the ceiling to come, and then i had to call Warranty to have the guy who paints to come and paint the ceiling all these took over 5 months to be completed. Please note this is a BRAND NEW Home. I have had leaks into my guest room closet coming from the adjoining bath room. The guy sent in was so rude I had to ask him to leave. Then I had to call Warranty for them to send me a non threatening person to fix the problem this again took sometime for it to be fixed. I have an covered patio that I am still waiting for Wilson to come back and repaint because the paint is chipped and it looks 10 years old, and did I mention that this is a BRAND NEW home??? During the year I purchased the house I was in constant contact with the Warranty department I had them on speed dial. Please note what I mention above is not all the problems that I have faced with this builder. In the initial months, there was a foreman here named Mike who would come after work and fix the patio do, close out the cabinet that was left with *** in it, completed painting of sections that were not painted, fixed the creak I had in the master bedroom, fix the front and back door that did not have a good fit etc etc Don't forget the cracks that are on the garage, driveway and front of my house which I am told have to be certain size for them to be fixed. Other builders just fix them. I just want Wilson to stop with the "You are out of warranty talk " and come and fix the issues I am seeing in the house. Can someone who can fix these issues call me please?

Lipstick on a Pig

Wilson Parker homes all about the marketing, they get you with the appearance of fancy to do that you can't get for the same price from other builders. Then they talk about their 10/2 warranty. Beware it is all a smoke and mirror show. They build their homes with cheap sub contractors that do substandard work with substandard materials. They push them to build as fast a possible to maximize profits. So of course, the work is sloppy and careless. Then they add fancy fixings to give the illusion of a quality built home. The "warranty" is written by some very clever individuals. It is designed with Wilson Parker's interest first and foremost. Its only real value is a very clever marketing tool to make you feel warm, fuzzy, and safe about signing. After all if you have a any issues you got our warranty and its all good! Well it ant all good, you will have problems lots and lots. You will get the run around. They will refuse to fix things because of how clever the warranty is written. You will get frustrated dealing with the warranty department. For example after reporting a roof leak I had to keep calling and calling pushing for a response. For a freaking roof leak are you kidding? Ever heard of water damage, mold perhaps? I have had three problems with water since moving in and I know of at least five others in my subdivision who water problems as well. Yet, please do take in account I am not very popular and only have met about six. Fact, Once you sign the dotted line you are no longer a priority. They just make enough effort to string you along to keep you calm enough so you don't disrupt any pending sales or right a bad review. Just wait till you start your first request and they tell you we will come out in four weeks. Also, I can't count how many times I was told, yes agree, but it is not required by code so.. or yes but the crack has to be over a half inch wide (what the??).. or warranty doesn't cover decks. Well we we've been doing it that way for years no one else has complained, (lies, lies, horse apples, and lies). PS. Check to see they wire your fireplace so that it doesn't just run off batteries. Oh wait, scratch that run, run, run. Trust me run.

RUN AWAY WITH YOUR MONEY. DON'T WALK!!!

I will keep this short. WP will build you a nice, big house that you think is affordable; however, you will find after buying, the quality is poor at best! I have had to have my carpet pulled up to cut floors open to fix joist issues and fix sub-floors. I've had my entire master bathroom tile floor torn up for them to fix the floor and joist underneath. After many no's and fights with them, the stair company had to rip out the ceiling underneath my staircase to fix the squeaking stair case. I've had leaking roof in my garage and front porch. I'm still fighting them to fix flexing, squeaky floors. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND KEEP IT MOVING TO ANOTHER BUILDER. You will be sorry if you buy from WP. Mark my word!!!

CRENSHAW PARK PROCEED with CAUTION

This is an amazing review which somehow matched my experience to an absolute 100%. Reading this review was the exact situation and experience except my lenders were Caliber Homes.I was told the day before my loan was ready to close while they were still requesting information/documents. I was also advised that if I get an independent inspector they don't honor the report because they follow county codes and obligations. My concern however relating to this matter is who are these county inspectors authorizing this *** substandard work. On my final walk through as well they were still doing work. My home is filled with flaws unlabeled floor, split wooden molding, incomplete door hinges, piece together kitchen counter top, dented stove, concrete cracked within 30 days moving in in garage and patio; to be brief. It was my desire to be close to the airport so I convinced myself to stick with the purchase thinking it would work out in the end. Needless to say it didn't. WPH is about QUANTITY not QUALITY. Carefully read that contract and really decide if you want to accept those conditions WPH are really strict to that contract when they knowingly disservice you. And it's all about What they don't do or cover rather than what they will do to keep a credible reputation.

Wilson Parker Homes has terrible customer service

Building a home is supposed to be an enjoyable experience. However, Wilson Parker Homes, their preferred lender Bank South and contractors have managed to make our experience stressful and unpleasant from the beginning to end and even after the closing. My husband and I waited over a year for The Tributary at River Banks to start building their third phase of homes. We were excited when we found out that they were going to start new construction at the end of 2015. Beginning this grueling journey we went to the Tributary sales office and found out that Wilson Parker Homes (WPH) would be the builder. We were emailed the floors plans for the Tributary by WPH and went back to the sales office to begin the process of getting our dream home built. The sales agent told us where all 11 possible floor plans were located in the metro Atlanta area before making the final decision on our dream home. We finally decided on the Katharine floor plan after 8 hours of driving and searching. We went back to the sales office and signed a contract for the Katherine on a great corner lot with an amazing view in Dec. 2015. We were promptly given a closing date for Feb. 2016 and obligated to provide a earnest money check. Fast forwarding to a few weeks later after going through a painful three hour process of signing our contract and spending an additional two hours at the design center we were told that the Katharine could not be built on the lot we selected due to the size, contrary to what we had been told from day one. Our earnest money check was cashed before this devastating news was provided. We find it hard to believe that a builder would give a customer a floor plan to choose from that wouldn’t fit on any of the lots they owned. WPH later took that floor plan away as an option for this community. I was ready to walk away but my husband convinced me to work it out with WPH to see if the service improved and if they truly cared about their customers. Initially, we were told by the former Vice President (Steve Owen) of WPH in the Atlanta division that the builder was not at fault and the President for the Atlanta division denied our compensation. He attempted to persuade us to purchase a different lot that would fit the Katherine. That was not an option for us because it was important for us to be on a corner lot. We figured if we were going to pay almost $300k for a house we should be on a lot that we love. Within a couple of days we were notified that the VP was no longer with the company. The issue was actually taken to the President of the Atlanta division after the VP left the company and he approved a small compensation which was appreciated, but it came with no apology. With much reservation in continued dealings with WPH, we went with our second choice which was the Savannah and resigned a contract in Jan. 2016, from there we were given another closing date for April 2016. We were also told that we would get an incentive of 5k towards closing if we used a preferred lender. We went with their preferred lender Bank South and trusted that it would be a smooth process. We provided a massive amount of paperwork that was requested by Bank South, which had to be submitted multiple times due to their lack of internal communication. Over the next couple of months our closing date changed to May 2016 and again to June 2016. We were given two possible dates for June 2016. Finally, we were told that the closing date would not be approved again for an extension and the builder would have to complete the house by the last week of June 2016 per WPH upper management. Due to the delay in construction and the lack of communication within Bank South we were being rushed to submit several documents for the fourth time during the week of closing. As a result, the bank requested more paperwork and hassled us because some of our paperwork expired due to the closing date changes. In the meantime, WPH began rushing the work on our house. On multiple occasions my husband and I witnessed the contractors eating watermelon under the trees in the front yard, taking naps under the trees on the property, and taking long lunches when they should have been working. We reported it to the sales office but it is unknown if anyone said anything to the contractors since they still have the same work habits to this date. Since we had lost so much of our faith in the ability of WPH to provide quality work we believed it was necessary to hire our own inspector for the pre-drywall inspection in May 2016 because we did not trust the Wilson Parker suggested inspector by this time. After several emails and phone calls from WPH coordinating the pre-drywall inspection WPH failed to accommodate our hired private inspector by already installing the insulation concealing the electrical work before the inspector arrived. Our inspector found 28 pages of work that was not safe or up to code that needed to be corrected before closing. At that point, we advised the builder not to put up the sheet rock up that they were moving in to the house until those corrections were made. The corrections took them a few days, possible further delaying the closing date. A week before we closed Bank South finally finished our paperwork with the interest rate and down payment required to close. We were told it was the final numbers and to do a wire transfer. In the meantime, we were scheduled to do a walk-through inspection of the home the week of closing and the appointment changed three times before it actually happened. We were finally told to be available to do the walk through on 06/28/16. Our inspector arrived to the house before we did for the walk through only to find out the WPH failed to have the power turned on for the walk-through. Our inspector notified us of the issue and proceeded with his inspection using only the daylight and his flashlight. The inspector was unable to complete his inspection and had to be paid an additional $200 to return the next day to in order to complete the inspection. Instead of WPH accepting responsibility they expected us to pay the additional cost. Our inspector provided a detailed 52 page report of code violations and issues that needed to be addressed. WPH was left with 06/29 and part of 6/30 (our closing date) to make corrections. On 6/30/16, my husband and I showed up to our soon-to-be new home at 3pm as scheduled to conduct the final walk through, with the closing scheduled on the other side of town at 5pm in Atlanta traffic (what professional builder does a final walkthrough on the closing date?). At 5pm we were still watching the builder scrounge to complete repairs. Let me also add that the builder was not able to “locate” any contractors so the supervisors were trying to do the work they clearly were not qualified to do. We did not arrive to closing until after 7PM due to WPH “NO IOU” policy. I would prefer for the builder to have a trained professional come back after closing instead of watching the builder work with pocket knives and spare parts from other homes. When we finally get to the attorney’s office and prepare to sign the paperwork for our keys we were told that the attorneys closing documents did not match the original numbers that were provided by Alexia at Bank South and we would have to come up with an additional $4k to get our keys. Since WPH took so long to complete our final inspection the bank was closed and we had to wait until the following day to wire additional funds in order to close. We finally moved our belonging in 07/01 and 07/02 and patiently waited for our mailbox to be installed which took a few days. You would think that a new house would have a mailbox installed when the owners move in but it was not. We had to make multiple calls to get the mailbox from the builder. The inconvenience with WPH continues and on 07/20/16, my husband came home and went out on to our back deck only to find a cord plugged in to an outlet outside of our basement running across construction lots next door to leading to the contractors’ generator. We don’t know how many days or how long they had been stealing our power but it was reported to the sales office and the builder. We were told that they would come up with some type of reimbursement but no apology and no one has contacted us with an updated on what we need to do to get reimbursed. In addition, we were told at the signing of our original contract that our HOA fees included our cable and Internet. We were able to get our cable set up but our Internet was delayed until 07/25 because according to the Internet provider the builder failed to run the necessary wiring for power in the basement. Instead of properly installing any outlets on the outer walls of our house the builder got very sloppy and split the power from a light switch to one single electrical outlet under the stairs. The builder also broke the fiber optics box during the process of building which also caused a delay in the Internet installation. As if that wasn’t enough, one of the contractors side swiped out mailbox speeding around the corner on 7/22, which was reported to the sales office. We are also still waiting on the builder to fix the windows that were sticking in one of the bedrooms and the list goes on. It feels like the list is never ending. What we find hard to believe about our entire experience is that no one has apologized to us for the inconvenience. Everyone has been pointing the finger at someone else but no one has taken responsibility. In the midst of all the chaos Wilson Parker Homes received two referrals from us of people who actually signed a contract on their home while our house was being built and we were told that there was no compensation for us but to keep referring people. That’s over 600k in money that they made off of us alone but no incentive for the customers who did the referral! We often regret referring anyone to WPH as they currently experience the same grueling process we went through. We have yet to receive an apology from Patrick Bates or Patrick Butler they have been our point of contact for the builder during this horrific experience. Patrick Bates did take note of everything that was wrong during the walk through meetings and participated in making repairs to get us to closing. Patrick Butler has been lazy throughout the process, failed to acknowledge me when going in and out of our home during the building process which I think is very poor customer service. Yet, he offered us tomatoes out of his garden the week after we closed. We are still not sure why. Not sure if it was due to guilt or fear of a bad review. We are truly disgusted with Wilson Parker Homes and while I know no house is perfect for 300k it should be pretty close. The lack of empathy and customer service has been unacceptable. We are very dissatisfied with Wilson Parker Homes.

Hello, to whom it may concern My name is Clarence Terry. I am a military DAV and retired from the US Postal Service. I moved to Georgia from New Jersey because I believed in the Wilson Parker dream home in GA. (Big, Bold, and Beautiful) I closed on June 30th 2016, There were issues that I brought to the attention of the builder (Mark) and he assured me that they will be taken care of and to just check off the walk thru checklist and go to closing. So far I am so dissatisfied with my home. I purchased many of the offered upgrades because I believed in your product. I need some assistance to rectify my situation with my home. I will explain when contacted. Clarence and Sylvia Terry Parks at Durham Lakes 350 Buckingham Ln. Fairburn, GA 30213 (973) 517-****

Wilson Parker Homes House Construction Review from Covington, Georgia

Wilson parker homes in pembrook park is a joke. The houses are of poor quality, the warranty department is terrible. I recieved alot of promises before closing six months ago. My driveway is cracking, my garage is cracking, my patio has holes in the cement, at the time of closing i was informed "if the cracks are larger than a quarter Warranty will repair" Warranty has a different story, warranty states it doesn't matter how large or small its NOT covered. Buying a house from wilson parker is one big scam. They will make everything sound good, once you sign the dotted line its all over. The problem is all yours. The inside of the house is also a joke. Not enough time or space to talk about that. Please save yourself from heart ache and pain. Take your money elsewhere.

THIS COMPANY IS A JOKE FOR A NUMBER OF REASONS-POOR BUILDING QUALITY, POOR SERVICE, AND UNPROFESSIONAL EMPLOYEES

What is the purpose of an initial walk through when you go back for the second and NOTHING is addressed. Yet they wanted me to close anyway? They must be kidding me. I was mistreated and disrespected beyond what I ever could have imagined. It was a horrible experience and as a result I terminated my contract with them. I will NEVER buy anything even remotely close to Wilson Parker Homes. Very Poor and unprofessional customer service I was scheduled to close on my newly constructed home in Pembrooke Park Subdivision (McDonough, GA) on 6/30/16; however, my home was in no ready for me to close on during my final walk through.I was felt pressured to close my home anyway even though it was far from complete. The guy they used on site to walk the buyers through was very knowledgeable but one of the most unprofessional people I have ever encountered. He bashed the independent inspector that I hired to inspect my new home and said I should have saved my money. The sales manager made inappropriate comments and made jokes about my personal business while I was supposed to be conducting my final walk. None of the items that were identified during my initial walk were addressed during my second walk. I was never given the option to make a "list" of concerns during the first walk. He just went through and put blue tape all over the place only for me to come back for my final walk and NONE of those issues had been addressed. The managers in the office on site seem very unconcerned and their relationship between each other is far from professional. The sales/office manager even said to me in the face of my friend that "we have been trying to get rid of Malik's *** because he has been getting people to close and promising personally to come back and fix their concerns after closing." But you knowingly subject other customers to this kind of foolery??? Bad business. I wish I could list all of my complaints here but I have sent a four page letter to the VP of Wilson Parker Homes. It is sad that I have been in this process since March and have seen what would have been my home since its conception and now I have decided to terminate my contract completely because those *** don't deserve another penny of my money. Beware of buying there! They protect themselves by placing a clause in their contract that doesn't allow you to get your earnest money back. They will throw your house together, try to get you to close in 60 days, and THEN tell you they have 90 days to complete your home. They have no concern as to how you are currently living (i.e. leasing an apartment, etc.) This entire situation has caused a HUGE inconvenience for me and I now have to start back at one because I refuse to give them another dollar. Yes I lost some but I assure you I will get more in the long run. My agent called the president of the company and tried to get them to make some concessions for THEIR errors (i.e. offer some incentives) but of course their greed caused them to decline. They were unapologetic and showed no genuine concern for what I had endured. This should have been one of the most happiest times in my life; however, now I will put it in the category of one of the worst. Beware of this greedy company as they will do very little to help you and will TRY to force you to sign your name on the line for a less than quality product yet with a BIG price tag. I plan on engaging my attorney in this matter as the way they do business is UNACCEPTABLE and something should be done about it.
