Its a mature hour in the dental office

They eagerly schedule an appointment knowing damn well they cannot see you at that time. My appointment was at 2:30 . Its past 4:15 and I have not been seen yet. This always happens at this office. Thankfully I'm the only one in my family that comes here. This will be my final visit to WD. The dental front office staff laughs at the patients when they leave upset. They dont even offer an explanation or inform anybody that they are running behind. An hour and 45 minutes behind for me. I used to be a dental assistant. I worked in private practices where integrity was a necessity and accountability was a must. Because this is a dental clinic, nobody is held accountable. Its nobody's responsibility to correctly schedule patients, call them back or make sure theres even a damn doctor or rda available to render the service. I'm done with Western Dental. I am pissed right now. But my saving grace is that today is the last time I will spend 2 hours waiting to be seen with an appointment.

Incompetent

DontThis place is a joke . Dont even bother showing up to your appointment on time . You wait for hours and hours just to be seen. Might as well take a whole day off because you will be there FOREVER waiting . The staff is also not helpful and incompetent! Giving a 1 star rating is too nice . They are lucky they got that.

Trying to save someone else from having to experience the terrible treatment and care.

Feb 28, 2023 To whom it may concern: On January 24,2023 I visited Western Dental in Casa Grande Az. I was wanting a tooth re-cemented. The tooth to attach it to had broke. The lady from the front desk was telling me about my options and what it would cost. We settled for the single implant and I was told by her that it could be done in one day. I proceeded to make a payment of $2883.00. At this time the lady said I would have to make an appointment for 4 months later to come in and finish. I told here that I couldn't do this because I lived in Illinois. We then opted to get the rest of the tooth removed a cleaning and fitted for a flipper or bridge. This procedure would cost me $499.50 . I agreed and proceeded. She told me that the office manager would have to void or credit my card in the amount of $2383.50 I waited to see the reversal for two days. I called to see what the hold up was and that's when she informed me that it would take several weeks. I demanded an immediate refund to no avail and was given corporates number. This too was fruitless and I was again informed it would be 5 weeks or 30- 45 working days. Now the bizarre and terrible service began. I had to wait 3 weeks for the Flipper as they call it. I returned on Feb 14,2023 and the flipper was installed. The young hygienist informed me that the impression they used to make the flipper had the old broken tooth still in. She stated that she made note to them that the tooth was to be removed but they never adjusted for it. Therefore the flipper didn't fit properly. She had the dentist look at it and he thought I could use some polident to shim or tighten it's fit. I tried this for a week but was sloppy and kept moving. I went back on the 21st and they tried to build it up with a filler. The flipper felt ok but not right still. I tried to get used to it but it moves a lot. I went into office Feb 24th to let them know that I was not happy with how it fit. That's when the office manager said that I said it was comfortable on the 21st. I informed her that it felt better that day but it was still loose. She had a bit of an attitude about it and that's when I said to her that I really didn't like Western Dental's lack of professional accountability. I asked her about my refund and what was the delay. She says it was my fault for changing my mind and that's when I told her that they misinformed me and never said anything about having to come back in 4 months. She stated that she had told me this. [ Why would I agree to this if I wasn't going to be able to come back, I asked her? ] I then let her know that I thought she was a liar. I made the appointment for the flipper to be checked on Feb 28th. When I got there the doctor informed me that the manager said they could not do anything for me. I am so sorry that I came to this unprofessional Dentist. Western Dental has Stolen $2383.50 from my checking account and never provided proper services that were paid for at the time of service. I still can't understand why it had to come to this. Totally baffled by the whole situation and treatment.. Sincerely, Kevin

Patient Care Coordinator (PCC) named John is a lazy ***

Long story short, "John" from the Pasadena location is a loafing idiot. He spent the entire day hiding in a dark room while other people were working. He also did many more atrocious things which will be brought up to management.

Western Dental in Westminster California has been charging me but not finishing the work.

About two years ago I started going to Western Dental Westminster California. they convinced me to pull my whole mouthful of teeth. I only went for the bottom tooth but they said I needed to do the whole mouth for a better fit. For the next year and more I kept going back because the bottoms never fit right. The Dentist kept saying its because I need implants. Bait and switch tactics. about 5 or 6 months ago I agreed to do the bottoms and have been paying for them without fail. Never late. Full payment every month. They put the studs in 5 months ago and in December was supposed to finish but had to make new bottoms. since then, they have made three sets of impressions. they have twice made appointments with me and when I showed up they said who made the appointment and sent me away. I have no confidence in these people and feel that they messed up my teeth so bad they cant fix them. I want my money back so I can try to find A dentist who will tackle someone else's mistakes. Also every time I'm there someone else is going thru similar issues.

Went to try my temporary dentures they sais no

I had to have my top teeth removed & I had 2 switch to western dental in CATHEDRAL CITY. Doc made temp dentures but made them with an over bite but she wouldn't listen when I told her that they had to much of an over bite & pulled my upper lip. All she wanted 2 knw was the color & size was ok. Then when the permanent one came in I told her it was still wrong on the over bite. She got mad & had a nurse make new mold. Now she's on vacation so I won't get them till 3rd wk of January. When anyone calls they hang up or don't answer plus they don't schedule the time for each patient so ppl have 2 wait 1 hrs or more 4 their appt.

I had to have my top teeth removed & I had 2 switch to western dental in CATHEDRAL CITY. Doc made temp dentures but made them with an over bite but she wouldn't listen when I told her that they had to much of an over bite. All she wanted 2 knw was the color & size was ok. Then when the permanent one came in I told her it was still wrong on the over bite. She got mad & had a nurse make new mold. Now she's on vacation so I won't get them till 3rd wk of January. When anyone calls they hang up or don't answer plus they don't schedule the time for each patient so ppl have 2 wait 1 hrs or more 4 their appt. I switched Doctors.

Caused injury to patient and charging for services that have not been completed properly

On May 19th, I came in to get my crown adjusted due to it being placed in higher than it should have been a couple of days prior. There was an obvious gap throughout my entire mouth, I was unable to eat correctly as the top part of the crown was also shaven off and I was unable to grip my food. I was told by the Dr that we would need to start the process over again. While in the process of getting my original crown removed. The Dr punctured my lip with one of their tools, a small chunk of it was missing and told me that I can go to the ER for a second opinion. I was given a temporary crown in the meantime. I never came back after this day and had been trying to work with them (this location at 1245 N Lake Ave Pasadena, CA 91104 and their grievance department) for months trying to get this situation resolved and have been unsuccessful til this very day. Not only did I not get a refund but they also charged me for other services that they have not fully completed properly. For instance, they took an impression of my teeth back in February for a gum tray that I was told that I needed. When it finally arrived, I was given someone else's tray that was too small for my mouth. The assistant realized that there was a baby tooth on the upper left side which I do not have. Due to this, I was told that the impression needed to be taken again once the crown process was finally completed. I did not return after I sustained this wound therefore another impression could not be performed yet I'm being charged for it. A week after the wound, I was able to see a new Dr at another company all together. They were not able to do much for me besides x-rays. I was told that I needed to wait until my mouth fully heals before we can continue with any services. Once it healed, I was able to get the rest of my services completed at my new dentist office at half the cost including fixing everything that Western Dental messed up on such as infections on the right side of my gums around the temporary crown. When my new Dr removed my temporary crown to begin the permanent crown process, he was in shock that silver fillings had been left underneath it this whole time. I was told that I did not need the gym tray that Western Dental were trying to put me on. I received a letter today from Western Dental that my account is now in collections even though I was told over and over again to not worry about it because they were supposedly working with their corporate office in getting this situated and still nothing. My advice, DON'T come here unless you have money and time to waste because they will charge you 2x the amount compared to other places and have to wait around for their products to arrive and if they mess up it will take even longer. I began services with Western Dental in February and then in May when my lip got punctured. I was only half way through their services but somehow my new dentist place was able to complete everything within a few months and I'm already done with my payments for them. Western Dental are quick to want their money over the quality of services provided to their patients. If I can give it negative stars, I would in a heartbeat. Please see photos below of my punctured lip and how it healed almost a month later showing the visible cut.

I wouldn’t give them any stars. They were horrible!

Do I went in for a broken tooth. Had to wait two hours to be seen and then when I finally was able to get in they took photos and told me to come back in a few days. When, I came back I was examined and the dentist proceeded to cut my gums open and dig in my gum without being fully numbed. I was in so much pain I started to shake uncontrollably and was crying. The pain was unbearable. After about 40 min they stopped and stitched me up and sent me home. No pain pills given. I then had to wait another week or so to get in. I ended up going to another dentist who couldnt believe what they did. And to top it off they are charging me for a service they never did and turning me into credit department after I went in and paid all fees that were for the service/product that was given to me at the first appointment.

This place is out to make money. Pull as many teeth as they can and charge you for Partials even when there’s nothing wrong with your teeth.

Very unprofessional, the people that work the desk are not friendly treat you like a bunch of cattle just to get you in and out. Try to pull your teeth that you dont need polled just to make you pay for partials. All they are is out to make money and more people they see and the more teeth they can pull The more money they make. Lets just put it this way they put a bad taste in my mouth I would never return there.. Sad but its the truth. When you walk in your office and greet you with a smile I even ask you how are you doing. The staff are like robots. I would give them zero

Back in April 2022 I went to my appt for x rays and followed thru for my next appt. In San Leandro. My appt was at 2 pm and was crowded I waited an hour still no service another half hour went by and I told them my ride is waiting!! I took off after 2 hours!!! That day come to find out they charged my medical for a teeth cleaning they never did!! I tried making a appointment in June over the phone and I got put on hold five times trying to get the San Leandro appt!!! They're either not there or out to lunch . I finally got an appt at 11am wensday and the appt. Was in Fremont!!! I was pissed!!! What kind of dentist is this!!! No communication, they give you the run around and pretend to help you! They have some serious problems with their staff who supposedly suppose to help you!! They suck!! I found another dentist and it was simple I got my appt. No run around like a fast food place! Western dental charged my insurance for a cleaning I never got!! Shame on them!!!

UNETHICAL PRACTICES

I was referred to Western Dental CG by a friend. I should have done my research. My son is the patient and we missed two appts. We rescheduled and were told we had to pay $500.00 which I offered from my Flexible Spending Card but had issues with it as my claims were not processed to make the payment go through. My son has a plate in the roof of his mouth and braces. They continue to bill me because of the contract and my inability to pay the $500.00 I currently do not have insurance and today after having spoken to 5 different people in Customer Service and Finance they tell me I have to pay $1500.00 for my son to be seen! These departments they set up are 'fake' and are not designed to help you. You feel trapped and frustrated because they give you the run around. WD will entrap you into selling you all kinds of services based on the Orthodontist assessments, and you trust that they are ethical, but most times these things are not needed. THERE IS NOTHING ETHICAL ABOUT WESTERN DENTAL. NO INTEGRITY. They seem untouchable, but I hope some day someone or wronged customers like us will be part of a lawsuit against one of the biggest 'rip off' companies there is.
