Fake collection

They sent a letter to my daughter saying she owed money from State Farm: I called & said if this is collections where is my bill? They tried to tell me about Michigan accident laws. I asked them why they were not calling insurance companies? They talk over you like the IRS scam people do.

Coming after me for a debt that I do not have

A couple of years ago I had to file for bankruptcy due to a job loss. The bankruptcy judge discharged my student loan due to the fact that it was not a federal loan but a private loan. Ever since then I've had multiple collection agencies calling about this loan. I received a call from this firm back in December about this debt and I told them it was discharged and that I'd send them the same paperwork that I'd sent everyone else. Two weeks later I receive a letter basically going over the same thing that I discussed with the person on the phone. I called the firm and of course got voicemail. I left a message along with my attorney's contact information. I once again emailed the information to the person I talked to from there. A month later I receive a summons on this, and then I receive a call from them within the week asking me to pay the debt. I thought that was illegal but then they don't seem to follow the laws. I talked to my attorney who stated that she's never seen anything like this. Basically, while I do not owe them anything I am going to end up having to pay it because I do not have the money to fight them in court. I have done a lot of research on this and have seen that they do this to people who have paid off their debt and they have done this to people who have never had any type off student loans. This company is a major scam job and I'm mind blown at the fact that they are able to get away with this.

BOTTOM FEEDERS

This agency is very unprofessional, unethical, and SUCK!! They have terrible people working there, that do not listen to you and make fake accusations that they will sue you in court when in fact, they are idle and empty threats. They need to be shut down. DO not try to call them as they make asinine excuses as to why you need to pay a debt that has been charged off over a long period of time. No one there knows what they are doing and are nothing but a bunch of incompetent idiots who are losers and do not deserve the time of day.

Taking money out of banking account

Wanted to know how much money I had in my account when I noticed that $22.42 was taken out my account which I only had that amount left. I called them and a real nasty aid stated that there was a judgment placed on me for failure to pay my CC bill. Haven't talked to my bank's legal department, but are they allowed to just do that without a notice?

Knock knock is there a real lawyer

This is a collection law firm - a paradox in itself. One would think an attorney would quickly want to come to a solution and resolve old, crusty close to the statute debts with marginal lower middle class wage earners. This company relies on that a defendant lacks the knowledge to properly assert their legal defenses. . I have paid them for over one year and was told the "Attorney" Chris Best is not available . After finally having a conversation with him (90 days ago) I never heard back. It is my understanding this company is facing serious allegations of collection violations, it confuses me, but does not surprise me.

Judgement

I had a judgement filed against me by them in 2013. In court a female lawyer hired by them represented them. I lost my case because a lawyer didn't show for me. However the lawyer that signed the judgement agreeing to all claims wasn't the one at court. It says he was witness wouldn't that be a false statement and make judgement null and void. The lawyer for Weltman said everything would be ok. Since she worked for a different law firm. So called Atty Michael J Dougherty signed it not lawyer from court hearing. I haven't been paying regualy because im on disability they are asking for the rest of the settlement which I dont have. I know they have been sued buy the government for illegal debt collection practices which the office I called didntknow about. they had threatened me in the beginning to come and remove household items if I didn't pay.

Attorney Jason Ziemann

I would like to warn people out there that Attorney Jason Ziemann files false lawsuits against debt-free people and attempts to intimidate them into paying imaginary debts. There is zero basis to his false claims and consumers should be wary of his dishonest and disingenuous tactics. Avoid this *** bag at all costs!!! We are reporting him to the Attorney Registration and Disciplinary Commission. Avoid unethical and corrupt Attorneys. 180 N La Salle St Ste 2400 Chicago, IL 60601-**** (*12) 782-**** {{Redacted}}

I have called and emailed and faxed this office dozens of times to resolve my bad debt and never get a reponse

this company slapped the name law office at the end when they are really a glorified collection agency and they should be shut down for fdcpa violation i have called and left messages every day for months and have never gotten a return call and every time i call there is no manager available and certainly no attorneys available (they must all be at the golf course or counting all the money they have stolen from the uneducated debtor that doesn't know any better. They need to retake the course on the laws...like collecting on accounts that are out of stat or calling debtors but not answering when the debtor tries to return the call.

Trying to collect a PAID IN FULL debt!

WW&R is Trying to collect a PAID IN FULL debt by sending out collection letters for a "Nashville Surgery Center" - that I paid off years ago and that has since gone out of business! I had surgery; they overcharged and overbilled (billing both me and my Doctor for the same charges!) and after much discussion and complaining, I paid them to get "rid" of them! Looks like it didn't work, because now, here they are again, years later, defunct and out of business, but trying to harass me for more money that I do not owe. How do you combat that kind of illegal harassment? (!) ONE TWO THREE FOUR FIVE

Greed

Goes to show how the system works with loop holes these creeps think they can do what they want, when they want news for them , and claims that are fraud. One would think that the field they are in that someone would have there *** together? Hardly its the classic *** show , one phone call to another clueless wonder, The run around i'll get back to you, No this time the FBI will be getting back to you in the near future, when you send false claims out you better have your *** right!! seems that who ever the lawyer(S) are didn't check there work and think its a quick payday, not so fast.

Been making payments...and still coming after me

This company does not seem interested in payment plans. Discover, represented by WWR, has a judgement against me. I do owe them money, and I have been making payments to this company for roughly two years. I signed up for automatic payments with them only to find hat 6 months later, the payments suddenly stopped. I did not request them, and after a search, it appears this is a common practice for them. I didn't realize it, which I own up to - but I wish they had said something. With no notice, I checked my bank account one day to find a hold on it. I had no access to my money for weeks going back and forth between WWR and my bank, with WWR not sending proper copies to release the hold. Once that was resolved, I got int a DMP with a credit counseling agency. We have been sending them a monthly payment. They are getting more than $100/month, so it is not a small amount. Yet I recently received an order regarding wage garnishment because the amount is not enough. They state they sent a so-called demand letter, but if you don't know what what is, be careful. I received a settlement offer, which I guess is what they are referring to. There were nothing demanding about it, and I didn't see anything threatening. So here I am as someone who has paying them consistently, and here I am still being forced into bankruptcy by WWR so that I can get protection from them. They enter into payment plans because they have to. They prefer to sue, garnish bank accounts, garnish wages, or get you to settle or pay in full - I assume so they can add on a bunch of attorney and court fees. They will do everything they can to force the matter and get out of payment plans. I have probably paid my original balance to them by now. Be very careful dealing with them. They do not follow the laws in their collection tactics. The Consumer Protection Financial Bureau has sued them, and for good reason.

Paid my debt in full

I sent in all payments pretty much on time (a few later then they should have been) So i just sent in my last payment and they are sending me letters saying oh no you still own $375 what??? I know how to add and subtract.....what is wrong with you guys??? So i simply told that RUDE lady to send me WHAT payments (month) they don't have -Omg she was so angry and rude from jump!!! I'm waiting as she said she would mail that out to us.....I truly don't expect to get it.....cause I made copies of each and every check I mailed them and went on to my bank account and made sure they cashed each one.......So she knows they are wrong don't expect to get any such information from them.

Weltman Weinberg And Reis National Bank Debt Collection Review from Cleveland, Ohio

First of all, I can't believe there are only 8 complaints against these bloodsuckers. This so called company is completely destroying my life. I originally owed around $4,000.00 on a Target credit card from the late 90's. I had a lot of financial hardships, and couldn't pay the balance off. Retailer's National Bank (who Target uses) hired this firm, and I tried to offer a settlement around 2003, but they acted like complete idiots. From the time I couldn't pay my bill in the 90's, until this day in 2016, they have done nothing except harrass and threaten me. They are now garnishing my wages, because apparently there is no time limit on how long they can pursue you legally. The Ohio state law says it's 6 years, but there is some sort of loophole they use to be able to hound you for decades. I'm about to be homeless, because they are taking 25 percent of my pay. I don't make much as it is. The reason I'm upset is that they have already been paid over $3,600. They withdrew that from an account I was on years ago. So, by my calculations, I should only owe around $400-$500. They are trying to say I owe over $11,000 - due to interest on the unpaid balance. Since when did credit card companies and their lawyers have the right to charge loan shark interest rates? I thought that was illegal. They are going to ruin my life over a few hundred dollars. Most places settle for much less than they have already gotten. I don't understand why this is allowed to happen. What does a person have to do- change their identity and go underground, keep jumping from job to job, quit their job and live under a bridge, or just simply kill themselves? Why are the courts allowing this when droves of people bought expensive homes, worth hundreds of thousands of dollars that they couldn't afford, and walked away from them without ever paying a penny? How is this fair?

Resolved: Weltman Weinberg And Reis Manager Review

I went for a job interview. I would have definately listened to peoples problems and worked out resonable monthly payments. I have 9 years have collections experience and also legal collections experience. I could tell during the interview the manager was paying more attention to my tattoos then he was to the experience that I have. I'm definitely glad I didn't get the job. I wouldn't want to work somewhere with such judgemental people.

They was a 2nd mortgage on my home, etc. *** is as *** does. What they cant comprehend is that i want to pay them back i dont trust them at all.
