They don't deserve any stars, they are the worst company on the market. They do not care about the people they insure, they just want to grab your money

Very poor customer service. They make you wait forever for a decision then they back date your cancellation for over a year in the past.

Not professional service

I spoke with Angela Bartlett on the phone and she was very in professional in our conversation. Going through wawanesa makes me question why I even pay for insurance, I will definately be taking my business elsewhere.Do Nott get insurance here

This was the worst experience Ive ever had with an insurance company. I didnt only never get a call back in regards to my missed payment. But I was canceled due to none payment even though I still had the money and was able to pay right away I had just forgot to put the money in my account. I did not only keep the money available for instant payment but also had double payment just in case. Not one phone call from a broker after calling many times. Ive gone with a different insurance company now due to this.

Massive premium increase

I never received a billing for this year's insurance due June 20th. I called the broker who had no explanation, but said my premium had been increased by $400.00!!! I have never made a claim. Why was I not notified or sent a billing about this increase? Why is there no reason provided for such a massive increase in one year. The mafia has more scruples.

Never use this company

Senior loss inspector, Steve Charman, inspected house in March. Found nothing wrong. Now 10.5 months later, threatening to cancel insurance if roof, eaves, and chimney not replaced in 90 days, as well as numerous building code violations to be fixed ( replacing all plugs, smoke alarms, fire extinguishers, renovating bathrooms) ARE YOU INSANE! Had own inspector down. Said NOTHING IS WRONG!!! Tried contacting Wawanesa. AVOIDS CALLS! Not worth the stress and problems associated with their incompetence.

Rude and disgusting people

When you google search some of the people that work for them you will see the company culture is also no good, so how can you expect them to treat their clients well? They don't. It's a ripoff and they will surely treat you very coldy and take your money anyway. Look up Mercedes Betanco and see that she called one of her colleagues a "pig" and thinks she's hot stuff and their is a tidbit about her on a lawsuit. You don't want to deal with any of their adjusters, "Investigators" or managers they are all a joke. I rate them a "F" grade for being corrupt.

Hail damage ***

We were victims of an August hail storm here in southern Alberta. They sent out an adjuster from Claims Pro who did the bare minimum. Then proceeded to tell us they would try and match our siding, which is 16 years old and our shingles but only half the house and half the garage. The garage doors are destroyed. Eaves troughs, downs spouts, fascia are all smashed. Screens are torn. Siding looks like a gun was used on our home. They finally sent a young fellow to get a siding sample who agreed our siding is to old. I have sent pictures to the claims adjuster, who has never come out of his office, every morning. Why can’t they just do the job correctly the first time. I would never recommend this company

These people suck.

They provide the most *** service ever and the insurance adjusters act like total *** They won't help you, but will continue deducting money from your account and never respond or actually do their job if you get into an accident. Nicole Mcguire is an absolute cow and can't take critcism. Look elsewhere, they'll screw you over.

This company makes me wish I could give negative stars

They will come up with every possible excuse to deny your claim, if they get back to you at all. You will end up wasting your time suing them and if the claim is small, it may not even be worth pursuing. This is their way of getting away with not paying the claims as they are aware that the customers are unlikely to pursue small claims. Switching policy to another insurance company that has good ratings and record of providing great customer service. Word of advice: You are better off paying a little higher premiums and choosing a company that will provide you with prompt customer service and would actually honour your claim when the time comes. Would strongly suggest against choosing Wawanesa.

Money Grab

Been with Vaughne Assurance for quite a few years. Then when it came time to renew my insurance it went up by about 27% for the Same Car, with No Claims or Accidents. When I asked them to review it - they said they said they could lower my Premium, by taking off insurance for a Rental Car $20.00- which I didn't even know I had. I am Sure I asked for JUST BASICS, when I got the Policy It was still more than it was! When I cancelled my Policy - they took my Payment for a Full Month - and never gave me any refund!

Take your Time , We won't Mind....

After Finally receiving a cheque the 2nd week of May for 65% of what our non restored personal property was worth , we were told that we only had until the beginning of July to finalize all our purchases and we would receive the other 35% plus taxes for any receipts we submitted, So we went out, spent all of the funds by purchased everything we could off of our scheduled lost list right away and submitted all of our receipts in hopes that we could use the other 35% that was owed to us to buy the things we hadn't been able to afford yet. So what does our adjuster decide to do? Pretend that she was so busy,that it took her over 6 weeks to finalize the receipts we submitted , purposely bypassing the July deadline and then telling us we can no longer submit any more purchases because we are passed our deadline ... TOTAL SCAM ARTIST TACTICS

Wawanesa adjuster makes up rules as she goes ...

house fire replacement value policy claim is not being paid fairly by their insurance adjuster who falsely claiming all our electronics are deemed "business items" when we don't even have a business , but she was misinformed by the contractor who receives benefits for saying such. out of $30,000.00 worth of "electronics" she decided that they would cap us at, and only cover $10,000.00 minus 50% depreciation , so $5000.00 . this is from a house fire and nowhere in our policy does it state that we have a maximum clause for the above mentioned. It's like she 's giving this contractor/item restorer a pat on the back by allowing him to deem items restored and he in turn lies for her and she in turn saves money by not paying us the proper amount owed

Bad Dervice

So many negative things to say i cant list them all. But the simplest one is a repaired bumper color does not match the rest of the car. Some how they say its close enough. Insane!

HORRIBLE SERVICE

I HATE THIS INSURANCE COMPANY! They dont have a specific date when they withdraw money, sometimes its after 16 days, sometime 18 days, sometimes 1 and a half month later. They are always charging NSF fees even though there are sufficient funds. I cancelled my insurance yet they still charged it. They say they sent us letters but I have not received anything. DONT MAKE A MISTAKE SIGNING UP WITH THESE UNPROFESSIONAL, LYING people!!!!

My rate went from $203.00 to $266.00 in one calendar year. I am a senior and I am claims free. WHY???????????????????????????
