I received a torn Birth certificate and asked for a new one. A claim had to be filed with UPS. The claim came thru and I could get a new cert but I had to have a paper check mailed to me and then I had to pay again to get the second one. First I worked with Micheal, then Rosalita, then Micheal left me VM that I had to call in again. This is ridiculous!!! I have spent more than 3hrs of my time pursuing this! Just to get a piece of paper!! This is terrible customer service!! Why are people on hold for so long??!! Then your employees get yelled at because people cant get thru. Absolutely terrible company to be doing this service for so many people. I could have driven to Iowa and gotten a birthday cert faster than dealing with this uncaring, POS company!!! The photo attached is time spent on just one phone call. There were three calls, all about the same length of time! An absolute waste of my time, and I still dont have anything to show for my time or money. So far Ive had to pay $93.00 for nothing!! I must have this birth cert, I have to apply for a passport and that will take months to get also!!!

Ordered Birth Certificate via website which was easily navigated. Delivered to me promptly: this was due to my paying for quick service. My only con was I felt the document was very much overpriced!

I paid for overnight and it was $17. It took 4 days to receive it. I didn't like paying for something they can't promise. No where was there a warning of it taking more time
Shipping. Paying for next day and it still taking 4 days. If I would have done regular shipping it would have came around the same time. So it was a wasted $17

Birth certificate replacement
I lost my birth certificate in a house fire and then moved. They were able to verify my identity and new address and issued my replacement immediately. Took 5 days vis US Mail and they even sent an email detailing such at time of shipment!

Got charged the full price for no death certificate. If you couldn't obtain a DC, there should have been a reduced price.
I paid for no service. I did not get what I purchased and was charged the full price as though you provided what I ordered. If you cannot provide a death certificate, then your bill should not included the price for a non-existent certificate. Period. Deceptive and not ethical.

Paid for a service that was never recieved
Complete scam. They give you a list of acceptable documents to prove who you are, once you send the docs to them they deny them. The company will not notify you that they're denied either. You have to call them and wait on hold for hours at a time. I've sent documents from state agencies and they still deny them. They don't call you, update you, or return calls when you finally speak to someone. They're quick to take your money, but don't expect to get what you paid for OR ever hear from them again. I've been waiting on a birth certificate for over a year. It's been paid for, all proof has been provided, I've never received the doc. Now their website doesn't even show my order. Save yourself some time and money and don't use this company. At least look at their BBB rating before you give them any info. 100% scam.

TERRIBLE processing time
they have a policy of not processing quickly. i questioned as to why it would take SEVEN MONTHS for me to get a copy of my marriage certificate and their comment was that it takes 140-150 days to process. HOW IS THAT QUICK? i need this info to get a drivers license-which is supposed to be obtained within 30 days of setting up residency. ordered a birth certificate and it took SIX MONTHS or more to get it. they also overcharge (more than $45 for certificate) PLUS their fee of $8 PLUS OVERNIGHT SHIPPING AT $15.50. to me, overnight means that they will process within 2-3 weeks and ship overnight - NOT SIX OR SEVEN MONTHS

Hidden fees, won’t refund, won’t help customer,
Could find long form (that I wanted to order). Still ordered, only to find hidden (unexpected and unnecessary)$20 shipping fee that I didn't select. Vitalchek wouldn't correct the order, they also wouldn't cancel the order. Now a month later, they won't refund the entire order amount. (That I had to chase the city for).

Appreciate getting my replaced birth certificate!
My family member is suffering from mental health issues and in anger shredded my birth certificate right before I applied for a 2nd job and without knowing lost my employment opportunity without the required I9 proof so to be able to get my birth certificate, proving and verify my identity, once again and be able to either reapply or search for a new additional job is extremely grateful!!

My mistake
I received my documents requested quickly. I have never had a problem in receiving them using VitalChek. I made a mistake in putting the date of death for Cora Ripley in the request for her death certificate, so nothing was found. I put the date of death as 30 Jan 1914, instead of 30 Jan 1913. Will it cost me again to have another search?
