Dictating brand of heartworm meds

The paper prescription I received from VIP Petcare for heartworm medicine has a the brand name Interceptor Plus written on it and is $20.00 more than the brand I normally purchase. It's a sad day when a company writes a brand name on your dog's script. Obviously, they get a kickback from INTERCEPTOR PLUS! Shame on you Interceptor Plus and double shame on VIP Petcare for forcing their customers who are trying to save money by going to a VIP Clinic to purchase a name brand.

Not getting my dog vaccinations record

To whom it may concerned: I had taken my dog Pepper for his vaccine shots and I havent gotten the results yet by email. I repeatedly put it in and no results. Theres no one to speak to. Please I need results as soon as possible. Email again is dianadelgado653@***.com.

Dissatisfied with customer service.

After multiple complaints to their horrible customer service and me going in person to one of their clinics( who could not help even though the vet was present) They finally sent the updated rabies vaccination paperwork to 3 years. There was no apology, no indication...

I have to agree with everyone else on the rating-I would give a 0 if possible. Customer service is HORRIBLE. I have been waiting 3 weeks now for someone to upgrade my 3 dogs rabies vaccines from 1 year to 3 years, Apparently 1 month late , they were due in May and I had them vaccinated in June, makes it a yearly vaccine instead of 3 years. No one helps, they are rude when you do finally speak with someone, they give you the run around and are absolutely NO HELP. Initially, I was very happy when I went and thought I would let others know about this service but I have ABSOLUTLY changed my mind and will steer all my friends and acquaintances far from this company. Appears they are more into getting money than your pets health-Their "mission" is absolute BS-"Our mission is to provide accurate and timely support to our pets, pet parents, and team members through high-quality customer care and advocacy, building a lifelong relationship to our affordable and convenient veterinary services." WHAT A JOKE. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. Date of experience: June 24, 2023

Too hard to find clinics,dates or get anyone on the phone. Put in a town zip code and instead shows clinics in other states and far away Why is it always so hard to get you. Never used to be

Happy customer

I have no complaints at all. VIP has been taken wonderful care of my fur baby Lorenzo. Crew member are always so attentive, and kind. They keep me informed on my dogs updated shots, price is much better then a private vet. I am a happy customer! Thank you guys for all you do for Lorenzo and I.

Medical record error, refuse to fill on line prescription

A friend who is a retired vet tech let me know that federal law prohibits VIP from refusing to fill a prescription through another party, you are free to fill wherever you choose. They also should have given me a prescription at the time I informed them I would fill it...

Took 2 dogs for heartworm test at community clinic. First, one dog weighs 30 lbs, but in the medical records in error they put 20 lbs - so they declined his prescription at Chewy on line (cheaper meds by far). Then they refused to fill the other dogs prescription at Chewy until his test results were back, BUT they were willing to sell them to me at the time of the test with stip not to give till test results back- they COULD fill the Chewy prescription with same stipulation, but they don't because all the hassle FORCES you to buy from them. This is because they do NOT WANT you to purchase meds from anyone but them and their meds are about $20. more than Chewy's. I have spent over 2 hours on the phone trying to straighten things out and looks like I will have to drive 20 miles to actual clinic for a reweigh and still will likely not get either dog their meds on time. Next year will go to regular vet or humane society. DO NOT USE VIP! RIP OFF!! If you are having a problem with them working with a 3d party vendor to fill a prescription, be aware there is a federal law that prohibits this AND you can report them to the vet board which I plan to do tomorrow.

MY DOG IS IN PAIN

Took my 3 small dogs to the VIP Petcare community clinic in Swanee, Ga, yesterday and observed staff afraid of dogs. After eventually vaccinating the dogs and taking their blood and paying $459, I thought going home was the end of a horrible experience. WRONG! One of my dogs, my Havapoo, has been in pain, is lethargic, won't eat, walks with her head down and tail in between her legs. She hurts on her back and sides still and it has been overnight. I WILL PAY THE EXTRA MONEY AND TAKE ALL THREE DOGS IN THE FUTURE TO MY LOCAL VET. They have never exhibited these symptoms after a vet visit in the past. The treatment received was bad.

I tried to use the online chat and it was clearly not answering any of my questions but instead giving preprogrammed responses that had nothing to do with what I needed. I called to talk with someone

I cant get anyone to answer my call and could only hear a recording. This was after I tried to use the online chat. The online chat was clearly giving preprogrammed answers that had nothing to do with my questions. I have not been happy at all with the checkups and high prices I paid for my puppys exams and shots. It is MORE expensive than going to an actual vets office and he received no more than and a couple times less than a 5 minute exam. After my issues with getting assistance today, I will NEVER take him back to one of those clinics and would never recommend that anyone go there either!! VERY dissatisfied!!!

Ripoff

I was charged for tests that were not performed. They told me and charged me for parasite tests. They were not performed. To add insult to injury my dog tested positive four weeks later at another vet. They delayed his treatment by not testing him when they said they did. My appointment with them was rush, rush, rush, it was all about the money and not about the pet. Never again!

Financing

I called but got a recording, it said leave a message and we'll return your call today. A week later still no call. It may have been disappointing for me but the only disappointment I have is not hearing back from them

Horrible customer service. No concern for the pets. Only care about upselling and money.

Lack of decent service in Champaign, IL, on October 16, 2022. The "contract vets" refused to help my cat who had a nose bleed. Then, she refused to give the braces I wanted to my other cats.

Terrible business practices

I used to recommend VIP Petcare all the time to customers and adopters. I no longer view them as a competent source of care for my pets or anyone elses. They lied not once, but twice during my most recent visit and scammed me out of $76 while I was paying to help two homeless men get their dogs the appropriate testing/vaccines. They NO longer do lymes testing because it is not profitable enough for them but no one at the clinic told me this and went ahead with a blood test I did not request. I am a huge advocate in getting this done yearly for ALL dogs because of where we live and how deadly it can be. (And yes I have tried to go through all the proper channels to correct this but they are very well trained in covering each others *** which is also quite scary) Yet another downfall in the level of veterinary care available to us.

I had a very bad experience today.

My little 13 lb dog had a cough and the provider which had a stethoscope around her neck would not even listen her lungs or breathing, she told the tech "I'm not doing that" and without making any eye contact with me she said "you have to take her to a regular vet". Thanks for a truly disappointing first experience.
