Voicemail

I haven't had the "pleasure" of speaking to these people yet, as they left a voicemail while I was at an appointment. However, the caller said that it was Viking, they had an important message, and that the call was from a debt collector. That, my friends, is illegal. Debt collectors are not allowed to state in a voicemail that it is a collection call unless they know for certain that no one except the person they are trying to contact can hear the message. I was so stupid to delete the message, because I would use it against them. I'm sure they'll call again, though, and will probably say the same thing.

They're trying to charge me $50 in an admin fee

I rented a car through Expedia/Advantage. A rock hit the windshield when I had the car end of Oct (I didn't know I damaged the windshield but they're blaming me so I'm assuming that's what happened as there was a chip in it). I returned the car and the Advantage lady made me fill out a claim on site. I told her I had that additional coverage ($10/day) through Expedia and so she said to just put that under insurance information, we'll take care of it, and if we need anything we'll contact you. I hear nothing until Dec. 26th.. Yes, the day after Christmas. I get a phone call which goes directly to voicemail as I block unknown numbers.. and this is where it is incredibly sketchy.. my mom, my dad, and my sister all three get phone calls back-to-back with Viking Billing searching for me (voicemails included). Obviously I have a bad taste in my mouth as I didn't even know we had a problem. I call, and I'm irate because how did they get my family members information and when did my stuff go to collections without informing me? I bring this up to the representative and she says "I sent a letter out on the 22nd.. and contacting them obviously worked and now I'm talking to you, didn't it?" I told them to take my family members off of my account. I got home (I was out of state visiting my family) and checked the letter and it was mailed on Dec 22nd.. 4 days prior.. They tell me that I need to file a claim and send an email cc'ing them giving approval to handle everything with the insurance company that contracts with Expedia. I did this. I continue to get follow up calls and emails saying I'm not corresponding with them so they're not going to take care of anything?? I email them back, replying to the original one I had sent which gave permission for both parties to correspond, and didn't hear back from Viking Billing after doing so. I figured it was all handled (as it should have been). Now, these past two weeks, I'm getting contacted continuously by Viking Billing again, saying that the insurance took care of the $190 for the windshield but now I owe them a $50 admin fee?? Why am I being charged an admin fee when I already paid the additional fees through Expedia to have full coverage should something like this happen? How in the world did they get my family's information (how is that legal..)? If you rent through anyone, contact your credit card company to see if they offer coverage when you put it on your card. DO NOT get involved with this poorly ran 'billing/collections agency'. (I told them I wasn't paying that $50 admin fee and they reminded me again that they're a collections agency as well..). I'll be contacting Advantage and Expedia once this Coronavirus dies down as I travel every week and have yet to have such a poor experience.

Keep harassing me

In January of 2019 while vacationing in Maui some one backed into the car I rented from Hertz. Sine then Viking has been harassing me for $971.34. They claim they can not find the person who hit me. I have on numerous times sent this information to Hertz, Viking and American Express. Per my rental agreement American Express covered any accident claim. Last week I again sent them all the information about the person that hit me, including her phone number, her husbands phone number her address, the name, phone number and contact person at her insurance company. I have never experienced a company as evil and a bigger leir than Viking including a one Michelle Smith (I am sure that's not her real name) Now its looks like I will have to hire an attorney and file suit against Hertz, Viking and American Express

Collection email

This is indeed a scam! I received a collection email. When I tried to open the attachment my virus scan tells me it's not a good idea. I just deleted the email. It's from a Wendy Tate. I have never hear of them and have never used their service. I believe it's another attempt to for them to go on a phising trip! I can't stand these kind of places and the people who work for them. They should all be in jail for fraud and hanged by their feet as someone pulls out their fingernails! Also gouging out their eyes and pulling their teeth with dirty pliers may teach them a lesson. When that's all said and done drop them in a pot of boiling oil. That will keep the *** from scamming innocent people. Get a real job!

This is why you have insurance

I had an accident with a Budget rental car in Florida. I gave my insurance information and told them they would cover it and I would pay my insurance deductible. I think Florida is a no-fault state and I never had any bill from my insurance company, but a few months later I started getting calls and letters from Viking about $700 that wasn't paid by insurance. I told them to send me an itemized statement or contact my insurance company. They just continued to call and harass me. The accident was in 2016 and it is 2018 now. However, my insurance has not gone up, my credit rating has not suffered, and I can still rent cars anywhere without problem. This tells me that there is something fishy about how Viking operates, and you should not cave in to their pressure.

Super Scam

They have an incorrect phone number, but continue to call our company and harassed every employee that answers the phone. We have asked to be taken off of their calling list but they refuse. If you are considering hiring a debt collector, this is a great way to ruin your company’s reputation!

BE AWARE:SCAM!!

Returned a car to Budget rental car company in perfect condition and on time about 6 months ago. 6 months later I start receiving letters claiming unspecified "damages" of more than $1,000 $ and phone calls from Vikings Client Services!! I called Budget and they have no records of a damage car whatsoever. They don't know either about this company and they are not very helpful all together. I hope someone will end this mail fraud .In the meantime Don't rent with Avis/Budget since they should be held responsible for passing on our informations or having poor protection when it comes to their clients' infos. I didn't like: Falsely billed

Viking Billing Service

VBS is trying to bill me for my Thrifty car rental for interior damage when I didn't damage anything. They also have not provided any photos as proof that the time we had the rental we caused the damage. They are trying to get anyone to pay and I refuse to pay for something someone did!! Thrifty is no help at all. No Customer Service!! Advisement: Do not rent from Hertz, Dollar or Thrifty!!! If they want to charge you for damages they will send you straight to collections without contacting you first. They want to pin the damage on anyone who they can get to pay. BEWARE WHEN RENTING A CAR FROM THESE COMPANIES.

Bulldozer tactics

These people called to collect a debt on my business number. I don't even know what get it might be. When I told the person on the phone that I wasn't giving up any information, and they could send anything they had in the mail, he kept talking over me. They wanted more and more information on it which I wanted to give.

A complete scam!

Me and my husband were told our payday loans would be consolidated. We were set up to pay $500/mo; however, several months later we were still getting the call, letters, and emails from the payday lenders. I then tried to call and/or email Viking to find out information. We paid $2500 into our consolidation and still owe the payday loans. This company is a scam so please be aware of their sweet talk!

Will Someone End this Mail Fraud?

Returned a car to Budget on time and in perfect condition. 35 days later I got a letter claiming unspecified "damages" of more than $1,000!! I Googled "Viking Billing" + "rental car damages" and found hundreds of citations of fraudulent billing letters. 1. Any reputable rental car company would contact the customer with the information on hand. 2. If there was any claim of damaged to a car, a description of the damage should be sent along with procedures to dispute the claim. Looking ahead, I will write to the CEO of the rental car company, and advise him that a fraud is exploiting the company's records, and then demanding to know how a fraudster got my information from the rental car company!

Not Sure Who This Viking Client Services Is Who Is Calling Me

I did have an incident with the rental car, but the caller from Viking has all details wrong. I don't trust that they are affiliated with the rental car company. I haven't been sent anything in the mail by them. My insurance company has not been contacted by them. Scam alert! They keep threatening me with collections, but they haven't sent me any paperwork. Keep calling me on an 800#. Beware of this Viking Client Services, they are not who they say they are. Rental car company: call me and I will gladly write you the check for the reimbursement of my deductible. Otherwise, you have been paid by my insurance company and we are good.

This company should be out of business and Budget should be taken to court themselves

Returned a rental car in perfect condition a few months ago. Got receipt hacked out and months later started receiving multiple calls and letters from Viking. NOTHING from Budget and when I reached out to Budget they would not even give me the date or location of this alleged damage (I rent cars frequently and had no idea even where this too place??) Budget told me I could only speak with Viking directly, and so the scam continues, as I have no intention of ever calling them. Better Business Bureau if there is ever a need for you to step in it is this horrible company and their collusion with Budget/Avis

MAFIA SCAM ARTISTS -- VIKING for HERTZ

Total absolute scam for hail damage in Kansas City.......Had AMEX rental coverage and they paid $1,766, which I didn't want them to do..... I guess it easier to pay than fight. Then, Viking contacted me to collect $335 for "Diminution of Value'', which is bulls__t -- more of the scam....... I told him I wasn't going to pay and he could go _____ myself.... I begged him to have Viking / Hertz to sue me........I said file it with a credit agency -- no problem, I have great credit and no debt..... They did this to wrong person this time... I would love the fight.... This is not about money, it is about principle and not being taking advantage of. I have been a HERTZ # 1 Club Gold member since 1982. ...... I will never rent from Hertz again and I'm telling everybody about this Hertz / Viking claim / insurance scam...I guess OJ is back with Hertz... .

Hertz Viking Insurance bogus Claim

My insurance company paid Viking against my wishes. I Returned a rental car to an airport site because of engine trouble per a Hertz customer service member. When I arrived at the airport there was an open parking lot where cars were parked. I parked an went into the airport and found the Hertz rental center. There was one person working there and he already had my paperwork ready as Hertz called him to let him know I was coming. He gave me a Hertz Global Vehicle Exchange Addendum Form which basically gives all the particulars about the car brought back and the new one given to me in exchange. For the return care it has the make model original rental date and the current mileage. I was given a new car and 36 hours later I got a call from Hertz saying the car I dropped appears to have been hit in the front passengers bumper. I told them that I returned the car in perfect shape except for the engine problem and that someone must have hit while in their parking lot seeing as anyone can pull in and out like I did. The claim was passed onto Viking, a company that is full of complete rude idiots. I explained the same story to 3 different people over a period of a month telling them that I refuse to pay and I did not want to have my insurance company involved. My insurance, State Farm said they had to pay as I did not have any documentation stating the condition of the car being returned. The only thing they gave me was the Vehicle Exchange Addendum which I assume would have had any damage that occurred written on it. There was no damage reported on the addendum yet they still are trying to get my deductible out of me which I refuse. I am thinking of taking them to small claims court but not sure how much to sue them for . I will be asking on of my attorneys.
