Vida Dollars Not What Was Described

When we upgraded to Luxxe, they said Vida Dollars could be used to buy luxury items on Vida Lifestyle website. What they DIDN'T say is that you can only use a fraction of those dollars to offset the cash price. And many of the times they offer for sale are old items. I looked up a Microsoft Surface price and found that it was an older model of the Surface and the same price as a new model bought somewhere else. My wife's desired $600 bag was only discounted 75 VDs and I could no longer find that model of handbag anywhere on the internet. So it was likely sold to them at a very discounted price that they did provide to me. Airline tickets cannot use VDs. I did buy a Viking river cruise before the pandemic which had a pretty significant VD discount, but I have to pay for the entire ticket within a couple of months. We are talking $13,000 for a cruise almost 2 years away. I just checked a Celebrity cruise on their site and then Vida Lifestyle. Even with the VD discount, the Vida price was about $120 more. And they required a down payment of over $2,400 while Celebrity only required $900. My free membership expires on 9/14, and I will not be renewing since the VD discounts do not pay for the membership. I thought I could use VDs against my annual maintenance fee. No, that is not possible. I have never tried any week deposits or purchases, so I have no insight into that world. By the way, the First Fridays have had nothing but Caribbean cruises and hotel vouchers for about 2 years now, so that is also not worth it.

Via Lifestyles rip off

I booked a 10-day Mediterranean cruise on Norwegian Cruise Lines through Vida Lifestyles of which I am a member. Just found out that I could have booked the exact same cruise directly through NCL for $1000 less!!

Wanting people to know what crooks they are

I used vita lifestyles for a trip of 6 family members. Our trip was scheduled for March 26th through April 2nd to Freeport Bahamas. I paid $816.00 dollars per ticket including taxes and their $25.00 charge for booking . I was sent from Vida lifestyles an itinerary with all the info even seat assignments. We arrived at the airport in Freeport Bahamas on the 2nd for our departure flight home only to find out they had only ticketed 3 of our 6 family members. Thank goodness we got them on standby to Miami, Florida. Of course there were no flights out of there for 3 days so my 2 children and a fiancé had to rent a car to drive 24 hours home. I have tried to contact them for answers and their reply was the airlines messed up. They were supposed to call me back with information as to what happened and do you think I can get someone to respond. Its a very bad joke. They have no intentions of fixing anything. When I was talking to them about this they had the nerve to ask me to buy points for my next trip. I dont trust them and would never suggest anyone using them. They are really bad news.

Product not working. Do not want any more.

This product does not work. Cancel any obligation that I may be under immediately! Send no more product, and do not make any further charges to me. Also, I got an official phone number from your website, and the guy said he couldnt help me because he was a travel agency! Aggravating! I want to cancel all dealings with your company as of now.

Car rental confirmation

I paid in advance an amount of about $730 thru Vida for a car rental. The original cost for the rental was $1312 (e) BEFORE a cash reduction of $100 and 50,000 points into cash to further reduce the cost by $500. Enterprise at Savannah had no record of any prepay or cost reduction. I called Vida and spoke with Anna who said my prepayment would be refunded to me. My $100 and $500 would be restored to my Vida account. So now I will be paying full rental cost to Enterprise. There is no advantage to using Vida for travel. So yes Im pissed. Then to add more frustration to this I made a stupid move when buying more points. Shame on me.

Messed up reservation and took a $1400 cancellation fee

I booked through celebrity cruises then moved the reservation to Vida. Four of us going in two rooms. We needed to switch two of the guests to the other room. They couldn't figure out how to do this and pissed it off in us to deal with at the pier. LAZY. Then omicron hit and two of us decided to cancel. Celebrity has a 100% refund on the form of future cruise credit. Had we remained with Celebrity directly, we would have gotten the full amount. Since we moved the booking to Vida, they charged us an arbitrary $1400 cancellation fee for the two of us. This was a complete rip off. It was never articulated that there would be a cancellation fee at all. Because of COVID, Celebrity waived their cancellation dates and are allowing you to cancel 48 hours before sailing. The amount of COVID cases on cruises was concerning so we decided to cancel. So not only are we forfeiting an 11 day Caribbean cruise, we're getting penalized $1400 to do it. Not only that, but the rest of the money is supposed to be returned as future cruise credit, and it hasn't shown up after three days. I question whether it will ever show up, leaving us forfeiting over $5000. Oh, I forgot to mention the many hours spent on hold by my friend trying to fix this, only to get cut off several times. NEVER will we book through Vida again! We should have stayed with the original Celebrity reservation which was easily done online, and could be cancelled online. They've got some very angry customers. Horrible customer service.

Sold a package by a salesman MY "account manager" that will be there for me anytime

I was sold a package by a salesman in London. He said he just booked a 4 star property in Hawaii for 25,000 points for a 7 day stay and that he's done it many times. He also told me he was my new account manager and that I could reach him between 10 and 4 PST Monday through Friday. He would get right back to me. I looked online to book Hawaii and everything is 175,000 -250,000 points for a week. I have called him at least 8 times over a 2 week period and he has NOT returned 1 call. I called customer service and they said "it is possible to book Hawaii for 25,000 points but the dates you choose may cost more". Technically they are right but to base a sales pitch on a fantasy is wrong.

Need to return Carofix order

Unable to get required information to return CarboFix. Tried chat return on site which was a total waste of time. And in my opinion a scam... Got redirected to an app which needed my info and cc info and then changed me for a 30 day sample...no way to get to return info. Any company which makes it this difficult to receive a refund is not to be trusted...and product definitely did not work for me. Surprise Surprise Surprise

Money Wasting Scam

Against better judgment, sent $3500 to enroll in Vida Lifestyle following a cold phone call in the early evening. Membership has done nothing for us. Contact information was bungled. Never received any info from them aside from renewal bills.

Update

Instead of cancelling my credit card, I cancelled the payment. I still receive e.mails, which I no longer open. The one I did open said account on hold. I consider the 2,000 dollars paid by me should count as so many years' membership. The Vida dollars of about 4,000 are obviously lost plus the two-year platinum membership paid by Vida Vacations, which was never honored as supposedly I never activated within the time limit. I prefer not to be a member rather than keep paying.

Fraud

I am a Vida Lifestyle member and it is a complete fraud. I was shown a picture on the Vida website and booked The Ocean Manor Resort based on the pictures. The first picture is what is online and the second is the actual low end room that we stayed in. I also included pictures of mold in bath.
