Abuse- negligence

My wife called to have my dogs pain medication refilled. She was greeted by the manager of the cherry hill, NJ Garden State locations office manager- whom had been rude to her before, and has made racial/prejudice comments in front of us in earlier visits. In an accusatory manner, told my wife that not only would they not be filling my dogs pain meds, but they never will in the future. This after the vet has told us my dog - Taco Winters- will have lifelong issues with his back/neck. I understand there are individuals whom would abuse medications- but we have and would never do so- and they made this determination of us for no reason. We have to find a new vet to take care of our dog now- but I am contacting a lawyer to pursue legal action for prejudice, unless something is done about this matter

They should not be in business. Nefligence

My dogs had exams and after their shot records were not kept and the vet recorded the wrong weight for 2 out of three dogs and we were unable to get heart worm medication for any on them. They charged for shots that weren't administered

Vetco employee rude

Go I went to the Dundee Il location asked lady if they had any morning appointments ava. She said no they were booked. I asked even for the afternoon she said yes. No appointments. I said that is weird because I just looked and there were many appointments ava. She said rudely then you should have booked it then. She then said I can get you in sharply at 3:00 but you need to be here exactly and we will fit you in. I then pulled up the vetco app and there were 10 appointments ava. 1 at 2:50 as I showed her she was rolling her eyes at me and laughing. I told her she was a rude customer service person and I wanted to speak to her mgr- she directed me to her mgr who was rolling her eyes at me an laughing with. This girl then talked over me while I was trying to explain to the mgr why I was upset with her and kept yelling that I was being rude and see what she had to deal with. I do not understand they had no clients and I just wanted to get my 2 puppies in. This was the most ridiculous customer service I have ever experienced. The mgr just said in the tiniest voice Im sorry and laughed. So unprofessional and i now see why you have no clients. I am also calling the Petco mgr because i will not shop at there store anymore either.

Vetco clinic and customer service

Drove an hour and a half for a clinic appointment at Everette Mall Petco. Was late due to a freeway accident. Arrived with no clients present and clinic staff sitting on the floor talking. They refused to do my rabies vaccine because they didnt have time, even though there were no clients in the 15 minutes we spent taking about it. I called customer service, and the person said they were sorry I had that experience and then we were disconnected.

Got scammed

We went to Vetco to get my dog vaccinated. The staff mentioned a package that included the required vaccine for my dog and a 4DX Test for Heartworm and Tick Diseases. They didn't inform me about the package price, and I ended up paying $188.50. Later, I received the visit summary by email and noticed that the total cost should have been $164. They had charged me INDIVIDUALLY for EACH vaccine, and the 4DX Test for Heartworm and Tick Diseases was not included. If I wanted the test, I would have to pay an additional $48, so the total would be $236.50 instead of the package price they show on website, $164. I contacted customer service to request a refund, but they said they couldn't process it since the word "package" wasn't mentioned in the summary. They claimed there was nothing they could do to help. I am really mad that I have to pay for the staff's mistake and Vetco is not willing to resolve their employee's mistake.

I'm now tired of calling and trying to get my dogs their medicine for over a month I will now have to take my remaining dogs to another clinic and hopefully they will approve the prescriptions once it's sent to them Vetco dropped the ball three of my dogs are without medicine because of this I'm just glad it's not life-threatening because my dogs wouldn't be here VETCO is not the place to go

I've been trying for a month to get VETCO to approve my medication from another business that I'm buying the medicine from and for over a month the business has been sending them approvals so they can prescribe my dog their medicine and now for a month I've made already seven different orders and each time they keep getting canceled because that goes is not want to approve my prescription I will no longer be using veto as a clinic I have to find somewhere else now to go

Microchip

Had my cat chipped in Dover Delaware. Was never told there was a fee for service if cat became lost...an annual fee. Additionally, i had to register the chip myself since Vetco didn't do it. Not a big problem but thats how i found out there was a fee for the service. This should have been told upfront.

Went into text messages to screenshot proof of invoices within just a matter of 35 min how much it increased but I wasn’t able to because they took it away … link expired. How could my receipt /proof of services just expire. Not professional not trustworthy I’m so...

Called to check the prices ($125) and made my appointment. The waiting room was overwhelmingly crowded. The services we wanted we didnt get. Before looking / touching our puppy, they started saying they wanted to run test. After they ran test which I told them he didnt need they invoice us via text for $192 again for services we didnt ask for or want but they didnt listen and said they knew best. Finally vet came did her exam and that was the sorriest exam checked ears fur and listen to heart . 10 min later via text another invoice $392 now I was just shocked. When I asked for an explanation they got defensive. They refused to give puppy what we wanted saying he was sick and needed to come back . My puppy still doesnt have his shots and money down the drain. Im not letting this go I will be reaching out to Petco corporate and Vetco as well. This cannot be okay.

Worse experience to get medication approved

I have bene waiting over a month for prescriptions to be approved and everytime i call they dont have a care in the world and keep saying give us 3 to 5 days. I gave them 1 month. I am done with this company Imagine them dealing with humans. I will save you time go to a vet it will be worth paying a little extra then dealing with these useless people.

Two excellent vets at the Maize, KS location, Vetco ran them both off

LOVED both vets there, and the quality of the vital care was good. They got a new system and it is the worst I have ever seen, doesn't even print pennies on the invoice and I have pet insurance. I have to keep calling for documents which I had NO ISSUES with. Best part, I am now paying for Vital Care and there are NO VETS at all in this location. Epic fail, management issue. Petco needs to close these down since they don't know how to run a vet clinic. Seriously makes me not even want to shop at Petco now, will give my money to Chewy or Petsmart.

Was very upset bought vaccine package. Was not told of extra charge for booster of not included. Which should be part of the package, if the initial vaccine is not going to protect my dog.BAD BUSINESS

Was not told of hidden charge for vaccine booster that should have been part of the initial vaccine package. This was not disclosed. Even after asking the is not extra charge? Response.. no just bring in and appointments made for rabies follow up and booster. Unfortunately the last appointments was informed of this extra charge. Which I was not ready for, very embarrassing to get hit in the face with an unexpected charge. So now my dog is without her lepto. booster. Now I would consider this POOR BUSINESS PRACTICE!!!

This is the second time I can't get my rx filled for my dog. First time I kept calling, finally had to go back store to fix. This time I can't get anything done. Already called 4 times. Told it would be out as urgent. Still no fill. Going on a month now.

Terrible Customer service, newly implemented policies and price gaugers

We have always taken our farm livestock guardian dogs there for their rabies shots and initial microchipping with no problems. This experience was quite the opposite. We walked in and there no signs or prior communication telling us they were in the far back. We got our pup from a breeder who had already given her the first round of shots at home (very typical and how all of our other dogs were). They are not walk on a leash type of dogs and only on rare vet visits do they leave our farm. We had to carry her all the way to the back, looking all over the place until we found it. The techs looked at us very judgy telling us we needed to leash train her more, um why? We waited 20 minutes for two of them, who looked like tweekers to tell us they couldn't accept the at home shots (they always had in the past) and wanted us to pay $36 dollars and inject her with more unnecessary shots. (Shots that we can be bought for $12 and self-administer) We told them we weren't going to have her injected with extra doses she doesn't need and they told us they couldn't give her the rabies shot then. It was a bit obvious she had thrown up on the way (she had only been in the car twice, once to bring her home and this trip) and they told us we needed to make a vet appointment to have that checked out. One vet and 3 techs and they've never seen a pup throw up in a car when they have only been on a car ride twice?? They looked even more judgy when we declined to schedule a vet appointment through them. One of the techs stared at the tablet screen for 5 minutes looking for our information and finally my husband looked over his shoulder and pointed us out right away (he seemed like he was obviously on something). We at least negotiated her microchipping so the hassle of dealing with everything wasn't a couple bust, but it seems Vetco is just in it for the money and do not clearly communicate to their clients about several things prior to the visit. We will not go back there again! I'll pay the $50 vet visit to go to our primary vet who understands our dogs are working dogs and we do most of our care on our own.

My dog almost died

I brought my dog in for a mass removal on mammary gland and dental cleaning. When I picked her up, she could hardly breath. They said it was normal. Long story short, we ended up in ER on the way home for respiratory failure. $2300 later on top of $1500 from surgery, she is home recovering. They said this was normal! We will never go back.

2 heartworm prescriptions invalid

We took our 2 English mastiffs there to have heartworm tests ran. I had to call twice after waiting 4 days for the prescriptions. When I finally received them, both prescriptions were written incorrectly! I was speaking to their 'so called' customer service when I received them and explained to her that they were wrong due to their weight vs dosage- her reply was "well you have to take them back to the vet and have everything re-ran" I asked her why they just can't write them correctly and she said there's no way to get ahold of our veterinarians! It cost us a $186 for the 2 heartworm test and 2 lepto shots. She said she couldn't give us our money back either! Our dogs are both past due on their heartworm medication as of right now and somehow we have to book another appointment to go back to have their idiot veterinarian write the correct prescription for their weight!

I want a phone call now (724) 610 **** Greensburg PetCo with 2 of are German Shepard and they gave the same rabies shot number I tried to call and spoke with a lady from the clinic and explained everything and she said I probably lost it no absolutely not they gave the same number thats why I didnt get a tag for Azalea

HUGE ISSUE! medical docs altered, and registered LOST DOG was RE registered TO ABUSIVE EX!

To Vetco Clinics: My name is Rebecca Lyke, and I was a customer for my service/ESA dog for all her vaccines after I got her. I will be sending all the paperwork I received from my account and from my visits. On 4/13/22 Bella came to get her rabies vaccine and her initial visit. She was then seen on 06.05.22 and again on 7.06.2022. I also read on the website under your policies that Medical records cannot be updated after the clinic service. Bella is registered in Macomb County MI on 05.16.2022. When I moved out of my boyfriends apartment because of physical abuse, I moved to Wayne County and registered her on 09.06.2022. I am on all the vetco records and paid for everything from my account. I signed all the records also at the time of service. The reason I am writing this is because I would like to know HOW my EX ABUSIVE boyfriend that I ran from on 07.21.2022 was able to change Bellas owner information and access all of her records. Ryan *** is currently out on bail and has a GPS tether for the FELONY crime he committed against BELLA and I on 08.26.2022. He almost killed me while trying to take Bella. HE SUCCEEDED in stealing her and hiding her from the court. I have a PPO that is filed with Wayne County clerks on 09.04.2022 following the assault. I spoke with MACOMB county animal control because I was alerted that Ryan RE REGISTERED Bella in MACOMB county on 09.15.2022. Joe Randazzo is the chief of animal control, and he told me that the records that are IDENTICAL to my records for Bella we valid and in his name. Joe told me that the Petco he called to verify the documents was the PETCO at 13701 Lakeside circle, Sterling Heights, MI 48313. This baffles me because your policy locks in the documents. I have a medical necessity letter from my doctor for her also. The PPO stated that he had to give my dog back immediately. Ryan violated his PPO by refusing to give the dog back. I am attaching all my documents to this email and my next step is going to the news platforms because this SHOULD NEVER HAVE HAPPENED. Your company has allowed this, and I want the reason why. What could Ryan have said to acquire her documents to his email, his phone, and his address. His name is not on the Bella documents that are the TRUE documents because she is NOT HIS DOG!!
