Property not returned

I rented a crib, high chair and toys to one of your guests in Bodega Bay. The high chair and crib were returned but none of the toys. I was told that for some reason by Misty in the Bodega Bay office that the toys had been put in the garage. The value of the toys is $150 - $200. My client, your guest affirmed that the high chair, toys and crib were all left in the same place on the deck. It's over an hour each way for me to drive to Bodega and Misty told me she could have the toys in the Santa Rosa office for me (good luck finding that address, it's non-existent) and then decided she was too busy and I should just go and get the toys myself. One of your managers, forget her name, phone number is 530-318-**** and she was going to text me the number for Karen in the Santa Rosa office. She never did, I called her today and her mailbox is full so I texted her, no response still. I told both the GM and Misty I had no problem picking up the toys in Santa Rosa but Misty, even though it was not my fault or my client's fault that the toys were secreted away in the garage said it was not her issue.

Filthy rental but worse customer service

I booked a beach rental through Booking.com. The property is managed by Vacasa. My family and I arrived Saturday 07/29. Upon entering we were hit with a strong smell of old bacon grease. We started to look around and realized the place was never cleaned. We found dead roaches, sand everywhere, clumps of human hair in all rooms and the furniture, food and grease around the stove, every dish we pulled out of the cabinet was dirty, dust everywhere, toothpaste residue, broken furniture (my family member fell because the legs were bending), food crumbs and roaches under beds and furniture, a moldy apple under the kitchen table and to top of it a roach crawled over the kitchen counter on day 2 (just to clarify, Im not talking about a water bug. This was an American roach). Before arrival I reached out to Vacasa customer service to confirm they were providing towels which they confirmed. We arrived to 4 towels for 5 people for a week. We were not even able to dispose of trash and had to take to the nearest gas station because Vacasa doesnt provide outside trash cans. I immediately reached out to customer service and they promised someone would come out to clean and bring towels. I have reached out to them through email and text every day of our stay but they didnt remedy the situation. Every day I heard a different excuse and more empty promises. That was until I received an email stating I had never reported anything to them or send pictures. Vacasa is scamming people by taking their money and not providing the services you pay for. They are not only rude but incompetent as well. Dont rent from them unless you want to spend your vacation in a filthy house that YOU will have to clean while you pray they dont have bed bugs too!!!

They didn’t deliver!!!!

After a long drive, I went to the rest room to relieve myself. Toilet had doody stain on it. Had to clean it myself. Water dont get hot. Dark ring in tub. Cable didnt work. Bought lots of meat to celebrate with a bbq for hubbys birthday. No gas in either tank (2). Mickey was running around and terrified the kids. I paid 907.00. They gave me 200.00 which Im not satisfied. Vacation is about the experience and ours wasnt a good one. Cabin wasnt as advertised. We all pay cleaning fees. Not to my standard!!!

Horrible customer service

We stayed at spring towers Myrtle Beach June 25th through July 2nd. We booked room 503 through Vacasa. Upon checking in we discovered our washer didn't work we immediately called them and let them know. We were told they repair man would be out that day. After smelling a foul stench we realized that there was a dirty diaper in the bathroom trash can amongst other garbage. The repairman didn't show up I called Vacasa several times also to let them know they only provided six towels for a room that holds up to eight or nine guests. They did send over other towels. But we had to keep putting off leaving the condo to wait for someone to show up keep checking our phones to wait for a phone call. No one ever called no one showed up until our fourth day. The repairman said the washer is old and the parts won't be in because they're on back order. I waited for them to call me back with a resolution. We specifically booked this condo for the washer and dryer because we had so many staying. We did not anticipate sitting in a laundromat on vacation. All of the appliances in this condo are extremely old and outdated when using the dishwasher the garbage disposal backed up into the sink. The stove took forever to even boil water. I called back several times throughout my vacation I was told that a general manager would call me back. We had to spend a lot of time at the laundromat as well as washing their towels. We checked out on July 2nd. I called today because I tried to give them time to call me back. I was told they would give me $156 credit. That is totally unacceptable, Vacasa has horrible customer service. The fact that I spent so much time calling them hoping they would call me back checking my phone when we were supposed to be at the beach and in the pool is ridiculous. Even postponing dinners and events to wait for a repairman. We spent a good bit of money on the condo because we like Spring Towers. We expected our stay to be relaxing. We've been staying in Myrtle Beach for years and have never had an issue. I will never book through vacasa again, they are very rude and could care less about their customers. We understand things happen, this problem could have been solved with good customer service within the first two days of our stay. I have waited so long to put a review out in hopes they would get it together. I wanted to avoid a negative review.

Invalid Block

I requested to book a property at Myrtle Beach, and for some reason customer service is saying I am blocked and you all can not accomodate me because of my prior stay. The only thing wrong with my last stay was the house keepers didn't come until 4 hours after check-in. I was told my acct is blocked because I didn't follow instructions. We followed every instruction and I want a valid reason for what directions were not followed. I have never had any issues with any vacation rental I have purchased and this block on my account should be removed. Please advise what the issue is and how it can be resolved. Thank you

Customer/website poor

Tried to cancel reservation next day, told me it would be better to go thru vacation insurance company to recoup booking fee and taxes. Since it was a weekend had to submit claim thru Redsky website, could not find out how long claim would take until Monday...4-6 week wait time, unacceptable. By the time I could get in contact with a real person(Vacasa) I was told that it was too late to get the refund direct thru them. Asked to talk with Supv., never connected. After I put in a complaint with BBB, They left vm that they would refund after July 21 if property was booked for the dates I had orig had.$705 lost...never again.

Many Issues-Tequila Sunrise Mineral, VA

While Vacasa did send people to "repair" several issues we had, I had to message and call the rep (who was very nice) several times. We also stopped by the office as it was close by to discuss some issues. They sent someone to make some repairs but for the HIGH price paid for renting, there were way too many issues... A LOT of issues: -Bed frame broken upon arrival, small repair made but frame was so shaky the occupant refused to use it for safety purposes. They promised a replacement, but none came. We were there for over a week. -Water ran yellow/brown for long periods of time, toilets are stained from the water -all sliding doors locks are broken-plastic bars were placed in door track to keep doors from fully opening) -window issues on screened in porch -shower drains clogged in 2 of the 4 bathrooms when we arrived (They did unclog them) -1/2 bath next to front door has a see-thru curtain w/ the toilet next to window -Leaking toilet in 1/2 bath (repaired) -Master bathroom has see through curtains as well -pool sticks were all missing tops (they did send a pack of replacements) -DIRTY floors-feet were black after only a few minutes -grease/dust on kitchen lights & fan -crumbs in drawers & on counters -Counters wet under cutting board with dirty smelly liquid -Pans & Dishes put away with dirty liquid in them -food/trash stains on kitchen walls -lose step-one of our group almost fell down the stairs (this issue was repaired-as far as I know) -filthy baseboards & sliding door tracks -No bedroom door *** -Mice and mouse droppings in house and all over kitchen counter -lots of Cobwebs and bugs throughout the house and exterior -Sporadic hot water (fixed once but continued thru out our stay) -Dirty carpets-Need thoroughly cleaned (other renters had same complaint but nothing has been done) -Hot tub was green from the moment we arrived and only got worse til we complained -Deck chairs are old and need replaced -Deck gate sagging and broken -Pieces of wood with nails sticking out (nails standing straight up!) tossed down near dock (we had a dog and little kids who could have been hurt) -WIFI did not work no matter how often we reset the router

Horrible stay!

Dear [Vacasa Customer Support] and Air B&B I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the recent 5-night stay I booked through Airbnb, which was managed by Vacasa. Despite numerous attempts to resolve several issues I encountered during my stay, I received no satisfactory resolution, and I am requesting a full refund of $1,561.03 within five days of receiving this letter. During my stay at the rented condo, I experienced a multitude of problems that significantly impacted the quality of my stay. I will outline each issue below for your reference: Lack of Parking Pass: The listing explicitly stated that a parking pass would be provided within the condo. However, upon arrival, I discovered that no parking pass was available. I had to endure an unnecessary delay while waiting for a parking pass to be delivered. This inconvenience marred the beginning of my stay and was an unnecessary hassle. Dirty Air Conditioning Filter: To my dismay, I found the air conditioning filter in an appalling state. It was filthy, with a replacement date indicating it had not been changed since August 16, 2022. Despite bringing this issue to the attention of Vacasa representatives several times, no one came to replace the filter. This neglect resulted in poor air quality throughout my stay, which greatly affected my comfort and well-being. Non-Functional Dryer: The dryer in the condo never worked, causing tremendous inconvenience, especially during my son's baseball world series tournament. I had to wash uniforms frequently, and the absence of a functional dryer forced me to transport wet laundry to a local laundromat. Vacasa failed to send anyone to repair or even assess the faulty dryer, leaving me to manage this frustrating situation on my own. Furthermore, I must emphasize that the overall cleanliness of the condo was subpar. The sheets had visible blood, likely from previous renters, indicating a lack of proper cleaning. Additionally, the floors were so filthy that walking barefoot resulted in blackened feet. This unhygienic condition was wholly unacceptable and created an uncomfortable and distressing environment for both my son and myself. Given the cumulative impact of these issues on my stay, I find it impossible to overlook the egregious mishandling of this rental. I am appalled by the lack of responsiveness and the failure to address my concerns adequately. I had expected a pleasant and hassle-free experience, but instead, I endured a miserable ordeal that tarnished the purpose of my trip. Lastly, we were never notified that the property would be under construction during my stay which obstructed our stay as well. This was directly below my condo. Therefore, I request a full refund of the amount paid for the rental, $1,561.03, to be issued within five days from the date of this email. I believe this is a fair resolution considering the extent of the problems I encountered, and the corresponding distress caused. I trust that Vacasa takes customer satisfaction seriously and will promptly address this matter to ensure a satisfactory resolution. I look forward to receiving your response and a confirmation of the refund within the stipulated timeframe. Failure to provide an adequate resolution within the requested timeframe may compel me to escalate this matter further. If leaving zero stars were an option, that would have been a more accurate description of how I feel about this pathetically ran company. Ive had so many bad experiences over the past 2 years, I cant even begin to tell you about all of them. We used vacasa(for way too long) to manage our property and I still cant believe how awful they were to deal with and what a terrible job they did on all accounts. Vacasa claims they have white glove, 5 star hotel feeling and they tout themselves on how clean your home will be for every guesthahahaha!!! Every negative review our house received was because of vacasa not cleaning the home or not fixing issues that were brought to the area managements attention repeatedly. You would think that if the property manager knows the homeowner is coming for stay, they would go above and beyond to show you how well they can manage your propertybut, that was never the case and always made me wonder how awful it was left for our guests. The disgusting things I would find left behind from previous guest in between stays was awful. Dirty linens on beds, blankets shoved in closets dirty and unfolded, dirty underwear left in closets, used tampons under beds, dishes, put away dirty. Wed show up for a relaxing stay at our property but, instead, would spend the entire time cleaning. Vacasa would charge us for things they never did, or double charge us for services they finally did do. I had to constantly check every statement and request refunds for things we got charged for that shouldnt have. They take a hefty percentage and youd think when that happens you should expect a higher quality job. With vacasa that is not the case. The attention to detail or even just the basics is non existent. Several times we tried to get a lower rate. Why were we paying them for services they were not upholding to in our contact. They always claimed they were just understaffed and it would get better, or they just revamped the whole housecleaning crew. Them being understaffed is not my problem. We always thought, maybe this time it would get bettermore new management, more claims of better housekeeping crews but, it never did. Honestly, it continually got worse. This company is a joke and I would highly recommend running the other way. They have deplorable service and if they cant adequately staff an area with a Five star crew they need to stop charging people Prices like they are. Everything about the company is laughable and I will never use them again to manage one of my properties and knowing how terribly they maintained my home I would never even stay at a vacasa ran property.runanything is a better option than choosing them.

Resolved: Issues with Hilton Head condo rental

Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with partial refund. Vacasa responded after a direct message to the home office via Twitter.

They are issuing a partial refund. We are happy with the resolution.

Had problems with our Hilton Head condo rental the last week of April. Have been corresponding with the local Vacasa office since May 1 with no resolution. The contact at the Hilton Head office is Wendy Riley. Problems with the unit: 1) Dishwasher didn't work, Bugs in guest bathroom. The worst problem was that the Air conditioning was not working from Wed through Saturday of our stay. HVAC workers were there doing something to the unit but we were NOT told about this before or during our visit. Nobody from Vacasa communicated with us about this work being done during our stay. I called the local office to complain but go no call back.

VACASA/Affirm

I have now disputed remaining balance with Affirm the collection of Vacasa and filed a dispute a couple of weeks ago and when I called them this week they said Vacasa has not responded but keep hounding me for additional payments when Vacasa said I should get a refund even if partial. Affirm is more accessible than Vacasa but still in limbo.

Affirm funded a rental home through Vacasa. Home had 1 bathroom that was non functional from day 1. We were encumbered the whole time. VACASA has basically blown me off leaving me with a debt on a dysfunctional property. I was told aDont refund was requested but I nor Affirm have received. Hard to get a live person and never one with authority.

Upset with rental

Stove was covered in thick grease we had to clean stove and dishes before use. Hot tub had dirt in the bottom of it and the wood burning fireplace door is broke so fore goes out to pack of air flow. Very unhappy with the amount of money spent.

Fraudulent Listing

We rented a house through Vacasa at 146 Mossy Creek Lane on Sugar Mountain, NC. It was not clean on our arrival at 4 PM on December 26. Vacasa customer Service was notified of the problem within an hour of us checking in. We also received notification that the hot tub was not working and no ETA when it might be fixed. We are skiing and rented the house for the hot tub amenity. The game room was not in working order but not listed as so. We flew in from all around the country and were unable to find another lodging, forcing us to stay in unsanitary living conditions. As we checked out the property was still not cleaned by a cleaning service. DO NOT RENT WITH VACASA.

Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with partial refund. I called them again after I didn't receive any response. Finally a manager apologized and issued a partial refund.

You requested that I send an e-mail to identify the issue experienced during my vacation for my 60th birthday. I wasn't provided an e-mail to use. If needed, I have photos of most of the issues as well. Vaca sent the codes a week before our arrival but none of the codes worked (for the gate or front door). When we called, the representatives kept giving us the same codes which were wrong. After 2 hours and our shuttle driver attempting to resolve the issue, we found out that Vacasa maintenance had changed the codes that day. We tipped our shuttle driver an extra $40 for his trouble. While I was flying, maintenance sent me a message via Whats app. They did not mention that they changed the codes from the e-mail so I didnt review the message closely. The condo also has no condo number on the door which caused us confusion whether we were even in the correct place. Fortunately, the maintenance had also sent a video which helped a little bit in locating the unit. Finally the lockbox worked with the code provided but the keypad did not and I had to call maintenance to handle this issue on our first day. After we finally were able to enter the property, the handle fell off the door know as well. Several of the kitchen cabinets were falling off the hinges. One was about to fall on our heads so maintenance fixed it when they dealt with the keypad. The next morning we discovered that the toaster didnt work which took us until the last day of our trip to have replaced. The A/C unit in the master bedroom leaked so we had to put towels so that we wouldnt slip on the tile floor. The wifi password per the e-mail was correct but didnt work since it shouldnt have been in all caps. Two days after our arrival we again couldnt get into the condo with either the key or keypad. One in our party is diabetic and needed to get into the condo for her insulin. Maintenance again was vague about coming (it normally took at least 4 hours to a day) until I told them it was a medical emergency and they did arrive within 30 minutes. However, it took over an hour for them to get into the unit and another hour to try and fix the problem. Their fix worked for the remainder of our stay but quite honestly was unsafe. Mid-week I did a load of laundry and the kitchen flooded. Again maintenance was contacted and they did come and fix the basin that had *** in it. The next to last day there were several leaks lightly raining between the living room and dining room. I informed maintenance again. Im sure that there are a few other issues but these are the major ones that we encountered. I contacted Vacasa numerous times about these issues with promises of return calls/e-mails which never happened. I spent hours upon hours dealing with the maintenance issues as well as calling to report my concerns and yet no one even responded. I was promised compensation for the extra money and time spent and still have not received anything. I will contest my final payment if Ive not heard back within the week.
