They be the best

They helped me out the bestest. When I went to VA they offered me the bestest health care, and the bestest oppurtunities I could have evered have the best dream on . I think they are they bees knees, and I get down on my knees to thank them every chance I get. I say thank you VA for being the bestest!!!

Complaint by Nam Vet

I have CNS Vasculitis, diagnosed 26 Sep 2022. Very rare disease, with only 2 in a million having it. There is no cure, just experimental CHEMO. I went to my local clinic to see what benefits that my wife be eligible for. I explained what my disease might do to me many things including killing me and she said " If you're that sick maybe you need to be in a NURSING HOME Grr you could have fried an egg on my head ! Promises of call back after fighting bad phone system, bad audio as I am hearing impaired. For a government agency supposed to assist veterans, why do they have attorneys paid by them to screw us Veterans? Lack of Respect

The VA refuses to pay me 6.00 Dollars for travel pay. They said my income is too high, and they deducted 6.00 Dollars from my travel pay. I am on Social Security Disability income, and they said I was making too much money. I have also been denied 2 claims for Eye Damage and Hearing Loss. The reason for the denial wasn't clear, and I was never seen by an Eye Doctor. The disrespect on the phone and the lack of caring is UN/called for. This type of treatment towards United States Veterans should be investigated by our state senators.

The reason I am Coplainins is not of money it is personel

Well I reenlist in the IRR 2012 I have not received military benifits. Plus My wives and children are haveing sex with my chain of command. I never received an prearranged marriged form my chain of commannd or my children received support for their pregantcies and they both started disrepecting me very very bad, giving me an bad reputation till this very day.

To warn other veterans

My son was in a VA hospital where they were using psychological torture, including sleep depravation to differentiate between which veterans were mentally ill, and which veterans were faking for disability benefits. His psychiatrist said the VA has to do things differently because of all the fakers. Inability to contact anyone, on hold for hours

When contacting ORM, you are on hold for hours, how does anyone file a complaint of Hostile Work Environment or report any other issues when no one answers the phone. There needs to be a direct line or line instead of a 1-888 number and remain on hold. 45 days will have elapsed and the complaint will not be addressed and it will be business as usual.

I had family in retired from MILITARY. LUTHER ARVIE JONES one PURPLE HEART IN NORMANDY France. JOHATHON MANER last known MICHIGAN. I needed help ask over 1 year my home was paid for my 3 cars paid for the LOCAL TRASH IN PICKENS COUNTY GA -FALSE ARREST -PROOF-BANK RECORDS- I NEED CARE IT COST MONEY SO "NOT WORTHY" I request his VETERANS PAY TO BE LEVIED-BUT VICKI-JOATHON MANER-ALL THEIR ACCOUNTS UNTIL THE ASSULTS ON MYSELF ARE OVER. TELL DRIVE HIS GOLD CAR-BUT LET FAMILY DIE HIM HOSPITAL DR OF DR'S-BUT NOT WORTHY ASK THEM WHEN THEIR HOME WILL BE PAID OFF- ASK THEM WHY THEY GET THEIR FIXED EVERY WEEK --BUT I GO 4 PLUS TO THE SURGEION-BUT CAN'T GET CARE BECAUSE OF LIES AND WORTH DEAD. Issue with the VA and covid shots

The VA had an open call for the veterans to receive the COVID-19 shot it was chaotic and disorganized and shots were taking waiting all day, if even gotten.

Filed a complaint

BS assured of FULL investigation, they sent message to VES which was who I had filed a complaint against and told them to call me. Really? total BS this Whitehouse hotline number is just another way to blow off Vets, really sad because person you talk to claims to be a Vet. I really doubt it. No Vet would ever mislead or patronize Vets they way they do.

Evaluator ridicule

VES appointed evaluator-horror story, only thing worse was bogus BS from so called White house hotline. No help at all, typical Bureaucrat, basically they just called VES which I made the complaint about. This agency HELPS NO VET!!!

My husband dying

We have been married for 42 years. Probably 20 of those years my husband was in and out of hospitals with different procedures all related to him being literally drenched 3 times with agent orange! Fast forward to right now, I NEED HELP! My husband is in hospice at home, and no the va is not paying for it just like my husband had to pay for all his medical bills after serving his country! Im so damn angry for the government not telling veterans in a timely fashion that the agent orange was causing their medical problems!!! All so the government could save money! The government had no problem using these men and women to serve the country but in my opinion majorly screwed Vietnam veterans. Where is a nurse to help me so I dont have a nervous breakdown? What does the government do to help when hes dying!!!

Stupid Rule

Just got a postcard new from VA outlining "precautionary step to protect all veterans". The message goes on to describe a tech procedure. Park, stay in car, send a text "here", VEText( patient tracking?) responds wait for further instructions, after an indefinite wait another text saying "the provider is ready to see them (the Vet) with an okay to proceed through the screening point to the appointment". I am 78 years old and semi understand text and easily get frustrated with electronics and messages like this postcard. Not all vets have air conditioned cars or cell phones or understand them. I can go to an over crowded Walmart, wear a mask and shop. Why must going to a VA appointment be so much more complicated ? What happens when I forget the postcard with the instructions? Someone making the rules need to understand old guys need to *** after a two-hour car ride and not sit in the car texting. What about traveling companions, can they wait inside while the vet does the appointment?

Unless you lose a limb, don't even bother!

Back in Vietnam 1968, I was blown off the top of an M48 tank while on an operation in I Corp due to a planted (estimated) 250 pound mine. as such, after being a tank creman with the USMC for over four years I was pretty beat up riding in the tank as a loader and gunner (right and left shoulders) which is all documented in Health Records. Fast forward to 1994 . . I retired in 1990 and went to work as a 18-wheeler. At one location, I was on the dock when I turn around while walking and ended up popping my L4/L5 disc. Had to have surgery and they removed a portion of that disc. Never been any better with constant low back pain and always had to take drugs. The VA eventually gave me a 40% L4/L5 Lumbar Disability Rating. Fast forward mid 2000. . . Had a popping sensation in the back and had an MRI done. Found out that due to the L4/L5 degeneration of the spine that the L5/SI, L3/L4, L2/L3, and L1/L2, as well as a continuation of the L4/L5 have failed and all are moderately facet hypertrophy in nature. Ended up having to have spacers (6) inserted in the pelvic (sacroiliac) to stabilize the movement as the pelvic was grinding bone against bone. Refiled for an upgrade to the disability. The VAbrought me down to their facility in Fresno, CA, and it was a chiropractor who examined me (why not an Orthopedic Surgeon is beyond me) and I received a denial letter stating "Evaluation of small central disc protrusion, L4/L5; status post bilateral semihemilaminotomies with discectomy, which is currently at 40% disabling, is continued." Called VA, and they put me with a Hearing Officer that came out and said that the "rules have been changed" and that there is no disability regarding the other disc's so there is no change, even though I had two Orthopedic Surgeons, my PPO, and a Nuero Surgeon state that because of the L4/L5 failure, it has significantly reduced the other discs below and above to the position of failure, causing enormous pain in the back and pelvis to where the individual has to rely on medication and drugs for the rest of his life. Seeing that my Veterans Administration doesn't think that highly of my suffering (and it seems like other vets as well), I am in the process of returning my 24 years of awards and decorations to the Department of Defense and telling them where they can stick them, compliments of the Veterans Administration ("Veteran's Administration," What an oxymoron!!!

Don't waste your time

I was advised to seek the VA for compensation due to my military tour experience. I went through all the things that they required, and they kept throwing my case out. It is still going on and it seems they will go way out of their way to avoid compensating me. If you join the US military and go above and beyond in your job, you will not be rewarded for your service if you suffer from your experience.

VA Aid and Attendance File # 089 18 ****

For the past 2 months the request for Aid and Attendance for my mother, Laurentia Marino has been at the same stage of review: Pension Management Rating Board. The original request was sent over a year ago. I find it totally unacceptable to continue to stall benefits entitled to a surviving widow of a qualified veteran. In any other business, the turn-around-time for any request would be much less than what we are experiencing with Veterans Affairs. Please advise the continued delay and provide an timeframe for resolution to the request for Aid and Attendance benefits. If you are not the appropriate contact, please advise contact information. I have enlisted assistance from the office of Tom Rice, US Representative in South Carolina. His office has been wonderful to work with, however, they have not been able to escalate this request to a state of completion. My mother, Laurentia Marino, is 89 years old and has been recently confined to a skilled nursing facility due to a fracture. Benefits from the VA Administration will assist in maintaining a level of care needed at this time and ongoing. I appreciate any assistance you can provide including but not limited to a decent and reasonable explanation of the delays incurred along with timing for determining benefit level to be granted.
