Worst experience of my life

Absolutely the worst business you could possibly pay money to. We were picked up in the most ratchet vehicle, in which the check engine light was on the whole time and one of the windows was duck taped shut. Our driver did not know how to operate the GPS on his phone and so the trip took us an hour longer (normally a 2.5 hour drive; took us 3.5 hours). The delay was NOT due to traffic, simply incompetency. The driver unwittingly had the "avoid highways" setting set on his phone ... He's a professional driver, and he was unaware how to operate his GPS. I'm honestly not even sure how that's possible. Anyway, so this was for a corporate event and we were late for the meeting that we should have been 45 minutes early for. The driver was clearly worried about mechanical issues during out trip as well. The check engine light was on, and toward the end of the trip, he turned the AC off (in the middle of August in Virginia) in an obvious attempt to keep the engine from overheating (as opposed to pulling over and calling dispatch for a new vehicle). When the trip finally ended and we made it to our destination, we called customer service to (1) get a new vehicle for the return trip and (2) complain about the driver. ONLY TO FIND OUT THAT HE HAD ALREADY CALLED THEM AND THE WHOLE COMPANY WAS CALLING US (THE CUSTOMERS) LIARS. They called us, the customers liars, despite having concrete evidence about ALL of the goings on that day (photos of the check engine light and the turned off AC). We decided NOT to take our return trip and instead rented cars to ensure the safe return of our people. This is a hilarious story to read. I hope you're entertained. And I hope we receive a full refund for this awful experience.

Cancelled Bus 15 hours before

I paid for the Bus 3 months in advance for 45 people July 29th 2023 departure date, I called 5 days before the event to confirm pick-up location, date and time which they confirmed. They sent an e-mail 15 hours before the departure advising they cancelled the bus due to mechanical issues and left 45 people stranded . NO REFUND FOR AT LEAST 45 DAYS , THIS IS A SHORT TERM LOAN, I WILL BRING A SUIT IN COURT

Couldn’t Find a Corporate Shuttle

I was looking for a corporate shuttle on the US Coachways site. I was shocked and couldnt find it. I tried and no luck there. Corporate shuttles are the future.

Horrible Bus

I booked a charter for our church and the bus they sent was horrible. Looked like the bus was out of commission. I was told the day before the bus had to be serviced and they did not want to cancel my trip so they sent what was available. It was not the bus I booked or paid for. It was dirty, seat had writing on it, inside the bus was atrocious. They wanted to offer me a 150.00 refund for a 1,000 plus paid for bus. I WILL NEVER USE THEM OR RECOMMEND THEM.

Disappointing Customers

Women for Trump chartered 11 buses and 2 hours before they were to leave, US Coachways cancelled the charters. These women were peace loving people who wanted nothing but to attend a march in DC.

Washington march

You cancelled the buses for hu Fred's of women who were coming together for their right to express themselves...but we finally got a van and will NOT forget what this company did and are making plans to BOYCOTT and bring your company down

Pre-Paid buses cancelled at last minute.

“We are incredibly disappointed at US Coachways, their actions prevented hundreds of Americans from exercising their first amendment rights and to have their voices heard.” Pre-paid buses cancelled at the last minute! Despicable!

I would give this company a negative 5

I would give this company a negative 5… I would give this company a negative 5 stars if I could. They canceled many buses less than two hours before departure on trips paid for in advance from all over this country to Washington DC. People took off work, made hotels reservations in preparations for this trip. Remember this if you're thinking of paying this company for your trip in the future. Hope you're proud of yourself for this Un-American act.

Attempted Extortion!

If I could leave 0 stars I would. I requested a charter for an event based on a quote that they provided me 12 days before my event. When a week passed without receiving confirmation, I reached out to my sales rep by phone. He informed me in no uncertain terms that, while they had not finalized the booking, they would honor the fare quoted, and that I should I proceed with my plans. So imagine my surprise when at the close of business (approximately 6pm) on the Tuesday before my event scheduled on Saturday, I received an email from a completely different sales rep informing me that they in fact would not be honoring the fare, saying it would cost nearly 50% more than the price I was promised, and demanding that I inform them immediately if I would accept these extortionate terms. As they had cleverly timed this email for the close of business, I could not get the sales representative who sent the email on the phone. So in essence, they attempted to extort an additional $300+ from me, knowing that they were leaving me only THREE DAYS to find a replacement. Now they will correctly point out that their contract says reservations and pricing are not set and subject to change until you receive confirmation. However, their sales representative told me explicitly over the phone that my price would not increase, thereby robbing me of an additional week in which I could have been searching for a replacement. I cannot for the life of me imagine why they thought leaving me with three days notice after explicitly promising me that price would not increase is acceptable, but I disagree. As I attempted to make my reservation 12 days in advance, they had no reason to take the actions that they did, and their sales representative lied to me on the phone in order to keep me on the line so they could try and force me to pay nearly 50% more than I had agreed to by limiting my time to find a replacement. It frankly amounts to a shakedown. I will never so much as attempt to do business with this company again, and I am posting this review to warn others that they will engage in deceptive behavior to provide you with the lowest quote, and then force you pay far more.

1 1/12 days before trip NO BUS!!

IF i can give half a star or none I would!! 1 1/2 days before my scheduled trip received a call from the manager that the bus broke down and they were refunding my money. I know these situations occur but they failed to me provide me alternative- another brother bus company or options to save the trip. I explained to them that $4000 was nonrefundable from the Nordic lodge -our stop! The manager showed no compassion or concern but repeated we are refunding you the money we cannot help you! I ask to speak with a superior and was hung up on!! I was in a panic and no one would answer the phone as i tried to call back. DO NOT DO NOT USE US COACHWAY -there is no security for your group booking.

Unscrupulous Business Dealing

Tri-City Peoples Corporation, a non-profit community development corporation in the State of New Jersey, booked a 30-passenger mini bus for June 19, 2019 to transport preschool children from East Orange to Turtle Back Zoo in West Orange, a distance of 4.1 miles, or 8.2 miles roundtrip. The cost was high but busrental.com [aka U.S. Coachways] had bus availability on that date. The quote 124**** cost was $646.37 which included cancellation insurance, which I purchased because our Center Director has a tendency to change plans. Due to the rain in our area, the Center Director rescheduled the field trip to another date, which U.S. Coachways could not accommodate. I had two issues: Tri-City authorized a credit card charge of $646.37, but U.S. Coachway charged our credit card account $715.14 without any notification to our company. When I questioned U.S. Coachway about the refund, I was initially advised that the refund would be 50%. However, today, June 19th, I was advised via email that none of the $715.14 will be refunded. What a waste of our limited resources. The booking process was troublesome, which should have given me a clue not to proceed with any transaction. But I wanted a nice bus for our preschoolers and it costed us $715.14 and a ton of aggravation. Toni L. Charged us 5 times after we cancelled

We had subscribed to Subout for more than one year by paying $199/month. After we found that we had 0 trips coming from them, we cancelled our service on February 28th, 2018. They kept charging our credit card for 5 months after that. When I found that, I called John. John said that they will refund it. He said that refund on their system can be done only once a day. After calling them many times, John refunded one charge $199. John promised to refund other 4 charges ($199 each). His promise was so long that they never refunded. They still own us $796. The worse business in USA in passenger transportation industry.
