Customer complaint

As a 25 year veteran retired driver I feel the driver who who was blocking my carport space and told me to park somewhere else while he was delivering packages to the Amazon lockers should get an automatic warning letter for being so disrespectful to me. UPS has always had a great reputation for respect and service to customers and the Public, I hope UPS will continue its great reputation and discipline drivers who go against the policy. I appreciate the prompt response to my complaint.

Return of all packages

I have packages ready and needed them return quickly. UPS excellent service. I have found UPS to be extremely reliable in delivery and now of course and pick up. I needed someone to come by as soon as possible as I cannot leave the house right now due to my husband Giannis. Thank you. I look forward to the UPS man who I see regularly comes on my street around 11 o'clock. Thank you for your service today. It is greatly appreciated so I await the UPS man hopefully this morning sometime to pick up my packages. Thank you for your cooperation service with easy excellence and look forward to them picking up my packages. Just another one of the tasks I need to do today. Customer service rep was extremely easy.

Terrible service. All products melted and damaged by high temperatures inside the trucks! Boxes damaged on the outside as well as if they had been kicked over. I can't believe UPS doesn't have climate

Terrible service. All products melted and damaged by high temperatures inside the trucks! Boxes damaged on the outside as well as if they had been kicked over. I can't believe UPS doesn't have climate control, air conditioning in their trucks, and is driving around with meds, vitamins, lotions, creams, soaps, food, colon cancer lab test, electronics, etc. With more than 100 F outside and pretend that they are not going to get damaged. Can you imagine Imagine what the temperature is inside the truck after hours? All my products inside the boxes are damaged and the bottles of shampoo, body wash have exploded inside the box! vitamins and pills are a single block. UPS has had this problem for years. It is a lack of respect and consideration for the client and their workers. They should sue companies as irresponsible as this one that continue to cause expenses, so that later they continue to raise prices for all their losses and claims. The authorities should penalize companies like this one that are not under the standards and codes to operate in a safe way for health.

Complaint filed to the French police

Original review Jul 24, 2023
I would just like to inform you that last Thursday 20 July I went to the police to file a complaint against UPS about the bad handling and appalling delivery of 22 boxes I had sent from the south of France, Saillans, to Neuilly-sur-Seine on 5 July 2023 through MBE (Mail Boxes Etc) in Valence, France. I was both the sender and the receiver of these boxes. They were filled with a lifetime collection of hand fans, collectibles and unique pieces from antique and my personal work. My job is hand fan maker, it was listed a few years ago as an intangible world heritage by UNESCO. The material and items I had sent through UPS represent the permanent collection of a museum I am currently building in Japan, a museum for hand fans in Kyōto, where I have been living for nearly 4 years. My activity is extremely rare and the ministry of culture in both France and Japan look into my projects carefully. 4 of my boxes have been remade, with nothing left of the original box. Blue liquid has spoilt some of my stuff, from outside and inside. Small boxes inside the parcels have been removed, missing now, and their fragile content which was originally carefully wrapped in foam and paper, has been poured into the new UPS-made boxes (of poor quality) without any care, damaging many of my fragile stuff, like mother-of-pearl antique fans. No message has ever been sent to me to notify the blue liquid incident. The boxes have been opened and remade without my consent. The content has been disposed of without my knowing it. Some of my stuff is missing. I hope my complaint will see to it that the overall organization of UPS be seriously remodeled. No delivery has ever been more of a chaos. I am so furious I am telling everyone around me, and we all agree that the people responsible of this mess should be fired. Delivery men had a wrong attitude, I even felt threatened by one of them, intimidating me as I asked to leave a note and a signature on their machine. The delivery men constantly found excuses for me not to sign on their machine and not to leave a comment. Words cannot express how disappointed and disgusted I am. I hope UPS will wake up to this. There is a famous nationwide broadcast on French radio where a team of celebrity lawyers like to handle this kind of stories. In this broadcast, the customers always get full judicial support. I am thinking of contacting them now. The invoice reference I found on my 22 parcels is FR 196 3-92 Sylvain Le Guen Art Fan maker - Maître dArt

Misdirected Packages and store owner says to return all my packages as refused or undeliverable.

Updated by user Jul 22, 2023
I'm sorry, I've made a few factual errors, and made a nonsense title. The title says, in part, "store owner says to return all my packages as refused or undeliverable."It SHOULD say, in part, store owner says he will return all my packages as refused or...

Original review Jul 22, 2023
So, the last three times that I got a package through UPS, at the very last minute, the tracking says that I requested that the package be "delivered" to the local UPS Store. The first time was a while back, but the second and third times were yesterday, and today. Yesterday, the tracking said that at 2:32 AM I requested that the package be delivered to the local UPS store, and at 2:33 AM the package arrived at the local UPS store. Today, I check the tracking and see it says delivered, but none of the 5 people there can find it, nor remember it getting delivered. So I check the updates and see that, yet again, there was a last minute change of destination, and once again the box was left at the local UPS store. So about 5 pm, I head over to the UPS store to complain, and pick up the box. I get there, and the owner says he's not really UPS, he's a 3rd party, and has no authority over UPS. I say, "That's fine. You can pass it on, or add your own complaint." The owner says, "Well, it's more profitable for me to have you pick it up here, so I'm not going to complain." More than a little shocked, I say after a second, "Oh. So you're an ***hole". He says, "You know what, I'm going to remember your name, and return all your packages to the sender from now on. How do you like that?" I say, "Oh, you're going to steal, and misdirect my packages, are you?" He says, "You need to leave" and I say "OK". Now, before he came up front, one of the ladies that work there had brought my package up, and handed it to me, so I had my package in hand, but had not signed for it. So I ask, "Do I need to do anything before I leave? Like sign anything?" And he says, "No. Get out." And the lady says, "He needs to...", the owner interrupts her and says, "No. I'll...". Turns to me and says "Go" and points past me at the door. I get in my car wishing the exchange had been recorded, then wonder if I can get him to repeat his threats on video. So, I start recording on my phone, go to the open door, and stop about a foot in front of the door. He's furiously doing something on the computer, with a cell phone to his ear (which I don't realize right away), so I ask, "I was wondering if you were man enough to repeat your threats on video. Or are you a blowhard and a coward?" He turns away and starts walking toward the back (or to get out from behind the counter), so I say, "I'm accusing you of threatening to misdirect my packages, and returning them as refused. Am I a liar?" He only replies with, "You have to go, or I'll call the police." I reply, "I'm not on your property." But I backed up anyway. He shuts the door, and I leave. Unfortunately, I accidentally stopped the recording as he rounds the corner of the counter, but I feel that I got enough information to support my soon-to-be complaint. Later, at home, I decide to check the tracking info, because UPS says right on their tracking page, to print the page because it will probably be altered soon. Or something to that effect. Apparently the owner apparently had been messing with the tracking when I went back, and he was probably on the phone with either the driver, who had altered it before, or tech support, because it says that I signed for it at 9:30 AM, in which case, why would I show up at the UPS store at 1:30 PM to complain that it hadn't been delivered? Besides, I'm a night owl, and wasn't up at 9:30 AM. Though my elderly mother was. It will be interesting to see whose signature he put in the system. The following is a summary of the last 5 entries for the package: 9:30 A.M. Signature obtained 8:54 A.M. Out for Delivery 6:32 A.M. UPS Access Point possession 6:31 A.M. Loaded on Delivery Vehicle Yesterday 9:15 A.M. The package will be delivered to the recipient's preferred UPS Access Point location. Unfortunately, I waited too long to call UPS to complain, because the gentleman I spoke to, informed me that the corporate offices closed at 8 PM, and it was 8:04 PM. (DOH!) I mentioned that I considered that the owner had threatened to steal my packages, and misdirect them. Pointing out that if a postal worker took his truck full of mail, and instead of delivering them, left the truck under a bridge somewhere, not only would that be theft, but, I believe, a federal crime, which would result in jail time. And if some kid came and "borrowed" my car for a joyride, and then returned it, it would still be grand-theft auto. Despite the fact he returned it. The man on the phone says not to worry, because they (UPS Corporate) would make sure that the owner would "get what he deserves". Misdirecting customers UPS packages may not be a federal crime, or even a crime at all. But I'm pretty darn sure that it's a violation of the Franchise contract with the real UPS. Now, I need to go to sleep, so I can call them early, because who knows what other evidence this guy is going to fabricate to cover his tracks. (P.S. To readers, THIS whole process is taking more time than I anticipated, and PC is saying it will notify UPS. So YOU may want to consider WHEN you file a complaint on PC, or if you want to at all, in order to control the timing that the company you're complaining to gets the complaint. I decided that the earlier UPS gets the complaint, the better, so I'm going ahead. You may not want to. Also, I kept the store address out of my narrative in order to protect myself from him, and him and his store, from anyone that might want to take revenge on my behalf. But PC insisted on an address. I have no idea if readers will have access to it. I have also not included the recording for the same reasons. I figure that UPS will probably be able to settle this situation appropriately, and to my satisfaction, without any outside help.)

Idiot drivers

I ordered a product from Ebay. The package was to come today. I got a email stating the packaged arrived. I go to the door no package. I contact ups and I get a computer. It refuses to connect me to a person I wanted to have them inform the driver that it looks like they delivered the the package to the wrong address again. They struck because they want more money bit deliver a simple package. Also when it could make a difference by contacting the driver that a mistake was made. You are left hanging because they just dont care. Funny thing FedEx never misses a single package. Ips needs to learn how to deliver packages like them. The thing that *** me off the most is they dont care. Oh well just send a complaint and maybe they will fix it if they feel like it. My issue is I get meds sent to me. I am handicapped and cant drive. If this had been my meds I would be screwed. I would run out of meds before ips would make it right. Horrible company, horrible customer service and drivers that just dont care because it is not theirs

Have gotten as bad as FedEX

When FedEx went into the toilet several years back, UPS remained one of the most reliable delivery services, at least in my area. Over the past 8 years I have been at my current address, their service has been nearly perfect, until about 6 months ago. Then they became as unreliable as FedEx. My experience yesterday went above and beyond their incompetence of late. I had a package that was out for delivery about 9:30AM and received an email from UPS @ 10:36 AM informing me that my package would be delivered between 4:15PM and 6:15PM. Online tracking was showing by 7PM. I gave it little thought until I received yet another unsolicited email from them at 4:05PM, stating "UPS Pre-Arrival: Your Driver is Arriving Soon!", "Your package is almost there!" and again "Scheduled Delivery Thursday 07/13/2023 4:15 PM - 6:15 PM". That was the first time I had received a pre-arrival notice from them, reconfirming the delivery time. 6:15PM came and went, as did 7PM. At approximately 8PM, I rechecked the online tracking and it was still showing delivery by 7PM. At this point I was confused as to why they would send me a pre-arrival notice at 4:05PM that wasn't even true. So, I attempted to call them to find out what was going on. (I get 3-4 UPS deliveries a week and have never had a delivery later than 7PM. I called 4 times, each time getting their automated AI Bot and each time, for a different reason, it refused to connect me to a live rep and hung up on me. Finally, I checked on the 'Net and found a *** to get around the AI Bot and get directly to a live rep. Of course, it was offshore, though when asked what country he was in 4 times, with the first 3 attempts being met with total silence, he finally answered "America"! Not United States, but America. Nice way to dodge the question. I explained the situation to him and all he would say is that the last tracking was in the morning when the package went out for delivery. When asked about the pre-arrival notice I received, as well as why the online tracking was still showing by 7PM, which had passed an hour earlier, I was again met with silence. He did, however, apologize for the "inconvenience" several times. "Inconveneince" of course being the standard word used by ALL companies nowadays. When I have to call in and waste over 1/2 hour just getting past their AI Bot, it has become more than an "inconvenience". When I'm sent an unsolicited 'pre=arrival' notice and then watching out for the driver for almost 4 hours, it is more than an "inconvenience". But, nowadays ALL companies are using the stock response, "We're sorry for the inconvenience". How ridiculous, insincere and phony. Anyway, after I pushed hard, he said he would send a message to my local distribution center and have them call me. Amazingly, within 10 minutes I actually received a call! I immediately explained the situation and specifically asked why I was sent the incorrect pre-arrival notice at 4:05PM. While never answering that question, the first sentence of her response contained the words "technically", "theoretically" and "maybe".Right them, I knew this was w wasted call. She did, however, go on to state that they had real-time tracking of all packages and it showed mine was still on the truck and would be the very last stop of the day for the driver, who still had several other deliveries before mine, in 40+ minutes. Of course, this contradicted the offshore rep who had stated there was no way to ascertain any info past the last tracking in the morning when it went out for delivery. Again, when pressed on the 'pre-arrival' notice that was sent, she responded with silence. At this point, I was done and got off the phone. As it turned out, even her real-time package tracking was wrong, as the driver arrived 5 minutes after I hung up with her. So, the package did arrive, albeit hours late and the only answer I was left with was comprised of "technically, theoretically and maybe". My complaints include the ridiculously late delivery, the AI phone bot that refused to put me through to an agent and kept hanging up on me, the typical offshore rep who was useless, the local rep who refused any type of explanation and contradicted both the AI bot and the offshore rep and the overall unacceptable customer service. Have all companies gone to **** when it comes to customer service nowadays? And, if I hear "We're sorry for the inconvenience" or questions are answered with total silence one more time, I'll...

UPS has blocked deliveries to my address

UPS Has Blocked My Address??? I just learned UPS has blocked my address from all deliveries? I have no idea why since my neighborhood is not listed as being bad or any thefts/ violence. I have not put any claims in for lost packages or missing packages. I have not had any violent altercations with UPS drivers and in fact I am friendly with the UPS driver and so is my wife and dog. The company I ordered from has no idea why UPS would not deliver here and is refunding my funds. They said they never encountered this before. I have no idea if UPS will refund their shipping cost, but they are refund me. It cost that business a lot more than it cost me. I reordered the same product from where I got it from before for less money, so UPS save me money. I spoke to the local UPS office they have no idea why it is blocked nor can help unblock it. If you read what UPS says on the side of this complaint, it says to contact customer service which I have, and they said they cannot do anything nor do they know why? It seems odd that no one knows why or how or who to contact. This is negligent on UPS to not deliver a package to an address they accepted for delivery. This may be medical supplies for people with disabilities, handicap or senior citizens. When they accept a package, they enter an agreement to deliver it in a specified time and at a specific location. Not for pickup at a local UPS store or CVS etc. They are also hurting their customers that are shipping packages as well as being negligent to them. I attached the retailed delivery summery that shows it went out for delivery and kept saying to correct the delivery address when in fact the address is correct?? Why would it say this and not that the address is blocked? This only confuses the customer of theirs that shipped the item and verified the address it was shipped to.

To talk with a rep is next to impossible! And there automated system sucks big time

I ship all the time, heavy amps. In double wall boxes, with layers & layers of bubble wrap. Annotated with warning stickers in red letters to the weight, and bright yellow stickers " Fragile electronic equipment" Had a package damaged in shipment, tried to file a claim via their online system, uploaded pictures of damage. Said they never received them. Rejected, saying "insufficient packing materials". (are you kidding me)! Screwed by UPS and no way to talk to a person. The stickers seem to be just an invitation to throw boxes further!

They failed to deliver the package AND refused a refund

I sent a package to my son via UPS. After two weeks, UPS failed to deliver it. I know this because I was tracking the package online. So, I called UPS customer service. I spoke to UPS customer service, and they claimed that the address was wrong and had no information or detailed notes from the driver. I confirmed the address they had matched the address we sent things to before (which my son received without issue). They refused to attempt delivery again or re-route it to a nearby UPS store and sent it back to me instead. I called to request a refund once the package got back to me, but the supervisor I spoke to refused to refund my shipping charges. Now, in a curious twist, they are saying that they DO have notes from the driver who talked to the apartment complex manager onsite. THAT person rejected the package because they said no one by that name lived there. The problem with that story is that this apartment building lacks an on-site office or manager. *>*>*>*> Just a bald-faced lie. <*<*<*<* Wait, there's more... This supervisor chose, instead, to blame me for an error on the shipping label - which is the correct address but they insisted it was my fault. Despite having my contact info, they said they don't contact anyone to correct mistakes or reroute deliveries. The problem with that story is that they've done so for my packages several times and left a sticker on my door to let me know, so why not for this one? UPS has set a new low in customer... ummm... service. Even worse, UPS seems to be OK with this poor level of... service.

Package was delivered, and the box was empty and box damaged

As I stated before, the package was delivered to my front door and the box was ripped open on the end and the box was empty. At the rip, it has been signed and numbered as if someone made a notation. I immediately notified the seller and they seemed to act like well if that the case that you guy would have made a note of it. They stopped talking to me so I made a claim only to find out that the seller had not. Really unhappy that you would deliver a empty box.

Ups don’t want to the they job right, they leave package in front of the door so people can steal the packages.

On 5/1/2023. I bought an electronic item from Best Buy, and on 5/4/2023 do for delivery by ups they left my package on the front door of my apartment, I have a video camera on my door and I can see it, and someone stole my package. I ask my self If no one was home why would they leave it that wasn't a smart move on the part I am very mad about that. PS. I let a note on my door saying to leave the package at my neighbor apartment, she is always home.

Delivery Driver Complaint

For every delivery - driver parks next to my front gate. Instead of walking through the gate and walking 3 steps to my covered porch, he places my packages on the wet grass inside the gatefully exposed to the weather and easy to pick up by anyone who wants to walk by and take it.
