Unprofessional, Careless, Arrogant

Our move was scheduled for Pick up on November 26, 2018. We were told by the broker that the estimate for the move was based on weight, not volume. He made a very big deal of that. So we agreed that the weight would be equal to or less than 2100 lbs (Iwhich is really nothing). He told us that the pick up vehicle would be weighed before pick up and then after pick up and if there was more than the 2100 lbs that we had agreed to, then we would be responsible for the additional cost. Fine. On the day of pick up however, the driver informed us that the move is actually based on cubic feet and not on weight. The exact opposite of what the broker told us.The driver was unable to produce a weight receipt for the truck (the exact opposite of what the broker told us), and was extremely arrogant, telling my wife and I that if we did not like the new price of the pick up that he was proposing, that he would simply move on. During the pick up, his helper approached me for side money in order to avoid additional expenses. What professional company in the world would tolerate this kind of behavior? After our belongings were loaded and moved, they were then off-loaded and consolidated into an enormous semi-trailer along with untold numbers of other unfortunate souls who decided to do business with this company. This is the process of "piggy-backing". When our belongings were delivered to our new address, we were shocked to see how our belongings were arranged for delivery. Our move consumed an approximate 5ft.wide, by 5ft. long by 13ft. high space in the semi-trailer, and it was placed in the middle of other moves. Imagine your belongings, crammed into a vertical space of those dimensions. None of that was adequately described by the broker when we agreed to this. On the day of delivery, we were appalled to see how our belongings were arranged for delivery. In the end. multiple items that my wife has kept in her family for generations were completely destroyed. Multiple items that were included in the pick-up were missing.(stolen? Lost?, who knows). Avoid Unique Van Line.

Absolutely the worst movers ever!!!!

On July 2nd, 2018 was the last time I saw my bed, clothes and belongings until 75 days later on September 18th, 2018. If I would’ve known it would take over 2 1/2 months to get my stuff I would’ve hired someone else! After consistently calling nearly everyday after the 1st month i finally got my stuff. Everyday I called it was the same thing, “no driver was assigned yet”, the dispatcher was “unavailable” or they’ll “call you back” or “the manager wasn’t in”. They NEVER called back. The only time they called was to get the second payment. NEVER responded to emails. What a freaking nightmare and can’t believe they are still in business after all the complaints they get. I don’t recommend them and will never use them again!!!!!

Terrible moving experience

It takes one more week to get our stuff than we expected because the driver forgot to send us some important paperwork on time. So we had to pay out of our own pocket to stay in the hotel for an extra week. When our stuff finally arrived, we found out most of our valuable items are destroyed. The coffee table and the drawer are shattered, some pieces of the computer desk are missing. Most importantly, we paid extra $100 for a crate of the TV on the day they started to move our stuff, they delivered us a TV with a damaged screen and it won't even turn on. We tried to ask for damage loss but the worker only agreed to pay us $200 back for this almost-new TV that worths $700. So we literally paid more than $3000 to turn all our valuable stuff into crap. This terrible moving experience makes us so disappointed!

Nothing good about this company!

Contracted with High Priority Movers, and ended up with Unique. When driver finally showed up (extremely late), he had a truck 2/3 full and could only take some of our belongings. I won't bore you with the details, but know this.....furniture left the state of Washington on 6/28 and finally was delivered on 7/22. All hardware for assembly of furniture was missing. Valuable items are either missing or broken. And, I have two boxes that aren't mine. So if anyone is missing a lamp shade, air conditioner hose, or pictures, let me know. Company has done nothing! I have filed a complaint with the BBB and the DOT, and am awaiting some conclusion. All they have done is lie to me. I told them any further communication would be by email since they lied so badly. I'm 62 years old, and this has been the most stressful experience of my life.

LIARS! Run away very fast!

Broker gave my contract to Unique without notifying me. Demanded I sign a blank bill of lading after all my belongings we're on their truck. They are charging more than double my original binding estimate. . They have had my things for 45 days and I am still sitting in my brand new home and no sign of my furniture. Run away as fast as you can from this company.

Unique vanlines

I hired WePack who outsourced the move to UniqueVanLines for my move from Indy to Miami. The only good thing about this was the initial phone call with the salesguy Arthur. He assured me over the phone that all my stuff was 100% insured and that any broken, missing, dented, scratched or damaged in anyway item will be paid for or replaced. Movers came in and packed everything into boxes. They did a terrible job of making sure things were securely packed. I did noted that out but they told they were the experts and to relax. At that point I didn’t have a choice so I let it go. When we got to Miami, scheduling the delivery of things was another mess. Initially they said they will deliver as soon as I call them, but when I finally called them to deliver they gave me a 14 day window. I guess we were supposed to spend money on a hotel or sleep on the floor till they decide to show up. Initially the driver showed up 2 days before the move in date. Of course they didn’t let them unload cause our lease hadn’t even started yet. Additionally, the building I moved into needs to be notified 24 hrs in advance before a move so you can imagine how hard this was with these people. Luckily it only took them a few days but I believe thats because I had to call then 3 times a day to try to get them to deliver the things. The people I talked to over the phone (I think her name was Maria) weren’t very nice either So they finally deliver the stuff. While delivering they scratched the newly painted walls (see pics). They did a terrible job building the furniture (see pics) they broke some stuff while moving (See pics) and then left. I started unpacking boxes and found a bunch of stuff broken (see all pics) including a $1,000 Gibson Les Paul guitar and an Acoustic guitar which was completely smashed (See pics). A few glasses were broken, some expensive paintings were scratched, the couch was scratched, coffee table was set on its corners and all 4 corners were scratched/dented, the TV speakers were broken off the base, some lamps were also destroyed and the list goes on (see all pics). I filed the claim form with all the damages which added up to almost $10k. They have finally replied 3 month later (only because I started emailing them daily for a reply) and they are offering me $181 for all damages. They didn’t even say sorry for the trouble, instead they are blaming me for not reading the fine print on the supposedly 100% insured claim. Lastly, they offered 1 month of free storage between the pick up and the drop off . That was also a lie. Its only free if you get you stuff out before the first month. If you go over a month they charge you that first month. I guess if you wanna save a few dollars but go over all this trouble go for this guys.

WORST MOVING SCAM COMPANY EVER, STAY AWAY

ITEMS HAS YET TO BE DELIVERED WITHIN THE TIME FRAME PROMISED IN THE CONTRACT SIGNED AND DATED. ITEMS WERE PICKED UP ON 5/28/18. BY FAR THE WORST COMPANY TO EVER DO BUSINESS WITH. mY GRANDMOTHER ITEMS WERE PICKED UP ON MAY 28, 2018 AND WHEN THE DRIVERS ARRIVED THEY ADVISED MY GRANDMOTHER WHO ONLY HAS BOXES AND TWO COUCHES TO BRING THAT SHE WOULD HAVE TO PAY EXTRA TO BRING HER COUCHES. SHE HAS NORMAL SIZE COUCHES A LOVE SEAT AND SOFA (NOTHING BIG). WE WERE ADVISED AS LONG AS THE WEIGHT LIMIT IS UNDER 2,000 THERE WOULD NOT BE ANY ADDITONAL FEES. WE WERE ALSO TOLD BY LONG DISTANCE DRIVERS THAT THE TAT FOR HER ITEMS TO ARRIVE IS 2 WEEKS. IT IS NOW 6/27/18 AND HER ITEMS HAVE YET TO ARRIVED. HER ITEMS IS STILL SITTING IN THE WAREHOUSE. PATRICA THE MANGER IS RUDE AND STATES THAT THE ITEMS WILL TAKE 214-21 BUSINESS DAYS FROM JUNE 20 WHEN AN EMAIL WAS SUPPOSEDLY SENT. PER THE CONTRACT THAT WAS SIGNED BY MY GRANDMOTHER ON MAY 28 WHEN THE DRIVERS ARRIVED THERE IS A DETESTATION ADDRESS LISTED AND IT ALSO STATES THAT YOUR ITEMS WILL BE DELIVER WITHIN 21 BUSINESS DAY FROM THE DATE OF PICK UP. THEY ALSO START TO CHARGE STORAGE FEES AFTER 30 DAYS OF THEM HAVING YOUR ITEMS. THE COMPANY ALSO PROMISED MY GRANDMOTHER IF HER ITEMS AREN'T HERE WITHIN 21 BUSINESS DAY FROM THE DATE OF PICKUP THEY DEDUCTION MONEY. THIS COMPANY IS A BIG FRAUD AND I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND DOING BUSINESS WITH THEM, THEY ARE RUDE, UN KNOWLEDGEABLE, POOR COMMUNICATION AND JUST PLAIN OUT SUCK AT DOING BUSINESS.

Worst Moving Company Ever!!

Rude, unprofessional, and underhanded. I’ve been waiting for 7 minutes months for reimbursement on broken items. Hire Dick’s Mivers out of Inverness instead!

Unprofessional and careless

The only contact I have had since they delivered my furniture a month ago, was an email to send my claim too. I contacted them twice after submitting my claim and they emailed me back with that they have 90 days to process the claim. I checked a third time and no response.

Original review May 07, 2018
Took 9 days for our furniture and when we got it several things were broken. Everytime you try and reach someone you get voicemail and zero communication

Beware of Unique Van Lines

Warning!!!! Beware of this moving company. North Star Van Lines is NOT a legitimate moving company. Their reviews are decent. HOWEVER, after we paid them a two thirds deposit, we discover we've been tossed over to Unique Van Lines who have a multitude of complaints against them. But that's where North Star had our possessions. After a month of them delaying delivery, they contacted us that the were ready to deliver, but we owed them Double what they originally quoted. Oh and they'll only take cash...red flag, but it's too late. North Star had already released our possessions to Unique. Today the driver shows up and parks outside the neighborhood stating that his truck can't "make it into the development ". We need to give them an additional $350 for a shuttle service. Driver shows up in a Bekins truck owned by TR Moving Systems. When we refused to pay the extra cash, they got in their truck and drove off with everything we own. We called the police and were told it was a civil matter and there was nothing they could do for us. We called the Department of Transportation and they assured us we could file a formal complaint and an investigator would "look into it". These scammers had our money and our belongings and we have ZERO recourse. We had no choice but to succumb and called them and came up with the additional cash. When he showed up to deliver he wanted " his money" first. I insisted he unload first...he turned on his heels and walked back to his truck and started to drive away. We had no choice but to pay TRIPLE of what the balance was quoted. We ended up with missing boxes and furniture and multitudes of broken items! North Star Van Lines, Unique Van Lines, TR Moving Systems are all Scammers and Shysters. And the scary thing is there's nothing you can do once they have your stuff.

Run From This Company

I hired this company to move me from Cleveland to Florida. They set the date then came a day late. I had to leave for Florida and was not able to oversee the move. My husband said all went well an everything was gone. I was not told that they would be keeping my things in a warehouse and they delivered six days late. The warehouse must have been very dirty (thick sooty dirt that had to be SCRUBBED off), wet and very hot. The first thing off the truck was an area white rug. Water damaged and very very dirty. All my belongings were covered in this dirt. The boxes were crushed and most of my furniture was damaged one way or another. I was also missing quiet a few things. This move cost $6,500. I have contacted customer service, sent in my complaint form and have heard nothing. They don't care

Furniture Finally delivered, on a HOLIDAY!

This experience started out ok. The movers carefully wrapped everything very well, in fact too well. The heaviest item, my electronic bed base was broken in 2 places. That said, it seems to be cosmetic, and you can't see it. Everything else looked great. What I did NOT like, is the rude "supervisor" who condescended and talked over me on the phone, and the constant lies. The first crew was a day late, and showed up 4 hours late the next day. They tell you the truck broke down, but it's a lie. I don't believe anything they told me. My stuff sat in storage in Miami from June 5 until yesterday, July 3rd. I was thrilled to finally get it, and that it was in decent condition, but to have it delivered on a holiday? REALLY? The truck driver was from yet a different company and was the only person involved in this process that was good at communication, so thank you Randy from New Orleans. I won't be posting reviews with 1 star, because there were people along the way who stood out. However management is so rude that even though my things arrived in pretty good shape, I will never use them again. I'm posting pics of the damage to the bed, as well as furniture that arrived unscathed.
