Sending threatening messages to vulnerable people
Barely 6hours after sending a trace instruction to this company. I started receiving threatening emails regarding his fees. That if I don't pay within 7 days he'll take me to court debt collectors. That made me very suspicious. I was shocked! I haven't paid him n I'm not going to. He refused to pick his phone.

The details provided by these people I had mostly already discovered on my own. The rest of the details promised were never delivered despite a detailed report being promised. Known to scam probably write their own reviews. Very keen to take your money big time deliver detailed info. I should have read the reviews first. Never again

Scammed by UK Private Investigators?
Have I been ripped off by Mr. Burchell? The pattern is similar to that described by other reviewers. He was extremely responsive in initial email correspondence and promised quick and thorough results. I sent the requested 175 pounds fee. Within two days came the promised report which was very light on information but said if I had further questions to send them along. I did have a few queries about methodology and the time frame of the query, basic questions that would have taken one or two minutes to answer and nothing that involved extra work for him. There has been no response whatsoever since to my multiple emails asking for a reply. But here's the kicker. The key question in my initial query was whether the person I was interested in had a UK criminal conviction. Mr Burchell's report said he did not. Within a week of receiving the report I spoke with the person who confirmed they did indeed have a UK conviction. In this case I believe the convicted criminal over Mr. Burchell who's work is at best shoddy and at worse, as others on this site claim, fraudulent.

Service lacking
When I initially contacted them they were quick & helpful with their responses. They provided a few details only despite their ad claiming they would find many other details (if possible). So I replied asking Tim Burchell to confirm he had tried to find the other details and to at least let me know if it wasn't possible, as my decision to use Tim was dependent on their ad. However despite several emails I never heard from Tim ever again - awful customer service once you've paid and they have decided they have finished. At this point I can confirm if the details were even correct.

TIM BURCHELL running a fraud investigation business: no refunds on no trace no fee basis
I had recently contacted UKPI to trace for an old friend of mine, i was given with wrong address within 24 hours. However, the address was in Turkey with english street name which is obviously non-existed at all (there is no single street in turkey was named in english, confirmed with local tour guide and citizen!). I emailed TIM BURCHELL for this matter and requested for original address but i was ingnored! A week later, i found my friend in a photo taken in a restaurant in Venice from a tourist posting on social media. I called the restaurant and had confirmed my friend is working there. I emailed Tim Burchell but again he ignored me. TIM BURCHELL is not responding for refunds as per agreed in terms. Therefore, i would like to tell public DO NOT trust TIM BURCHELL he is not professionals, not responsible for refunds, playing trick on his fraud and dishonor business.

Fake reviews - clearly
I have used this company and could not be happier! They found my Brother within a day and I spoke with him last night. He is coming over to visit me soon. I run a business myself and know the pitfalls. Looking through these posts on here, there is clearly the same tone used every time. I had many fake posts about my business too - seems that success breeds envy. I was wary at first but then when I called them, I felt completely at ease and boy, am I glad i used them. Some of the other companies I contacted seemed dodgy, not just from their websites - anyone can have a site made but also the way they responded initially to me. I am based in San Francisco if anyone wants to contact me directly for verification of this post! UK Private Investigators were communicative, efficient and spot on with the details they gave me! Its easy to post fake reviews and that is sadly, the way it goes these days.

I could just repeat all the above. PLEASE PLEASE do not use this person. He was very responsive to texts until I paid, then just sent back to me all the info I’d given him in a ‘report ‘!! Absolute rip off. He had not done the search properly and is now ignoring my messages. I am so angry as it’s at a time when I felt vulnerable and very concerned. I would hate anyone else to go through the same thing so will be contacting trading standards. My terrible experience with private investigators
I contacted the company because I was looking someone I lost contact with and now I regret. They are going to take your money not find the person you are looking for, but someone completely irrelevant and then they are going threaten you, harass, and completely avoid you when the only thing you do is just a ask either for a refund or a retrace the right person . STAY AWAY

Very quick in taking calls..BEFORE you pay them....Quick in taking the money..and when you get the report...utter rubbish.No more i formation than what you have given them.I got more information from a web site that only charged £14.99...Absolute *** bags....And he even alleges he's an EX-POLICEMAN....REALLY..I bet he's laughing all the way to the bank..as another idiot got scammed....

Oh, if you complain and request a refund,they are entitled to charge you for any letters etc that they 'deem necessary' to write, and if you talk about them on social media you forfeit your refund......

Complete scam, do not use
Timothy Burchell promises to get the result you need or a refund and is easy to get hold of by phone .....until you pay.....then doesn't respond to your calls. His business practices are illegal -he promises confidential service but actually isn't allowed to give any personal info not already in the public domain unless the subject gives permission, so you may as well pay 192.com a tenner instead! He is a scam merchant who isnt regestered with reputable professional bodies, do your reearch and get a real recommendation from the ABI Association of British Investigators. Thats £125 I wont see again.

Without my knowledge a colleague filled out a form on my behalf to several investigators when my daughter went missing - this terrible company is one. Timothy contacted me saying he had found my daughter - this one day after the police say they had officially found her but couldn't tell me where she was. I then asked where - he said I had to pay £125 first. I said no - how could I with no information. He said it was in the contractual agreement which happened automatically when my colleague filled in the request form. I spoke to the police and they said not to pay. Timothy then became aggressive and sent me threatening emails saying the police had no jurisdiction. Today I received a county court letter from a NN1 postcode though Timothy purports to be based at a London address. The claim amount is £695. I am disgusted this is allowed to go on in Britain. Will not be paying.

I hired Timothy Burchell to see if my partner was cheating and he did nothing but lie to me. Timothy Burchell is a fantasist, a complete charleton, a fake, a fraud, and completely lacks any social or ethical morals. I genuinely think that he has some serious issues, so not only stay away from him for your wallets sake, but also for the sake of you and your families safety!
