Technician never showed up

I use Orkin and they recommended Tru Tech for the job I needed done, made an appointment, the tech called me, left message, I called him back and he texted me and said he would call me after meeting, nothing, so the next day ( day of appointment) in the morning I texted him and said I thought you needed to talk to me, nothing. I went to my fathers as this is where the tech needed to come, 12-2, never showed, I called the office and they said he would get ahold of me, over 1 hour later he calls and says oh you need to make a appointment? Come on, there goes new business and will not recommend.

Horrible customer service

I got billed $3000 to catch some rats and moles and seal up any entrance points in the crawl space. The African American man who was suppose to follow up on if the traps they placed caught any rats, only showed up once. They didnt catch any moles and now I have bill to pay in the amount of 1703.00. I am not going to pay it until they can prove to me that they have solved the problem.

Liars, cheaters, incompetent

These people are dishonest and incompetent. I asked them for exclusions in 2019 and the guy comes out and says, "Well where do you think they're gettin' in at?" ("They're," there, meaning the squirrels/chipmunks/rats/flying squirrels.) All he wanted to do during his one or two appointments was talk about his ex-wife and his former college baseball career. He puts some sloppy silicone caulk attempts in a few cracks in the wall, but the metal mesh that was described in the contract that was also supposed to be used was never supplied or applied. 375 bucks for this...not worth it, I could have done that myself and should have. They sent different people out every time to do the spraying for the brown recluse spiders, and one guy quit during the process. I was really nice. I gave his kids Christmas presents before he left. That's what I get for being nice to people...totally taken advantage of. This company lies and cheats and the technicians don't show up for appointments...in 2020, starting in September, they missed SIX appointments in a row! I know it's a pandemic but gosh, a phone call would have been nice! God bless these people, they're surely going to need it when they wake up one day and find out that they can't just keep cheating other people out of their money. Not a good company. If I could give less than one star on ALL this stuff, I certainly would.

Never showed up, not reliable

Thursday 8:30 am: I called them to investigate scratching noises in my attic. They assigned me an account number and scheduled a tech for same day for 3 to 5 pm and said tech would call when he was on the way, 4:30 no show, no call from tech so I called them and they couldn't tell me anything other than I was still scheduled but nobody ever showed up. Friday 8:30 am: I called them again to reschedule for Monday if they could schedule me first thing in the morning and they scheduled me 9:00 to 11:00 am. Monday 1 pm, no show again so I called for an explanation. The young lady was very polite, she looked up my account number and found the scheduled appointment but couldn't tell me what the status was. I canceled their service and asked them to delete my account number .

Steer Clear

I want all of my money back. I do not know my damages.

Doesn't look good. I want to find a good quality company to trust in, but definitely not Trutech!

Original review Dec 12, 2019
Tech was just here last week, December, 2019. I have been out of the country, I have someone that stays at my home when I am out of town. Our Tech, walked over to my house because she was servicing my neighbor. She saw I was home and came into the house and went into the attic, I am assuming and hoping she went in my crawl space. Anyway, my neighbor came over yesterday and said. What are we paying them for? She told me to walk outside. Huge gaping hole with squirrels looking down on us from my attic. Trutech does not cover squirrels. My best guess, they do not cover much. They have been fired. Don't be a sucker like me and my neighbor.

Not Happy!

I told them come when I was here! Txt them that trap was tripped would they come out to reset it. Nope they did not! I need to trap nocturnal critter! So it is too bad I LOST a day of trapping! They DO NOT work weekends, and sometimes they like to have a long weekend Ha! Asked them to let me know when they where coming so we could talk, nope they come and go as they please! Sorry no if you not get that critter, what us to come and try again? $389!

Horrible billing department.

Love our tech. Hate billing process, I received 3 bills in one day. Received 2nd Bill today that says I am now 30 days past due, WRONG. Trying to cancel the service. Do not use this business

Frustrated

Contracted for a mole problem. Technicians at best are incompetent. After the initial set-up they forget you. New tech assigned and he relocated the traps and said we would back in one month to check the traps. They should be checking the traps weekly until the mole problem has been eliminated. Prices are high. I called the home office and canceled my agreement and after two weeks the 4 traps remain. My cost $589. Not one mole caught.

RIPOFF

Called this company out for a raccoon in the attic. Tech quoted a figure in the $3000 range with all these crazy services I don't need, so I said, " I just want to get rid of the coon and move on." The lowest he could quote was $695 for the coon trapping and another $495 for some spraying after. Reluctantly I agreed , but I could see that even at that price I was going to be one of his low end priorities. He set the trap and nothing happened. Changed the bait and again no results. In the meantime I m still hearing the coon in my attic. I set my own trap and he snickered when he returned the second time to check his trap. In the meantime getting hold of him was problematic even though they claim 24/7 support. When I went to check my own trap I smelled vinegar. I think this idiot sprayed vinegar in my trap as a way of telling me I was not gonna make this easy. After that he then suggested plan B for another upcharge of $695 . At this point I have fired him and demanded a refund , and the corporate admin I just spoke to says she needs field supervisor approval to cancel and refund. That was awhile ago and no call back. Thank God i charged the $1200 to a credit card and I will deny the charges. BUYER BEWARE! STAY AWAY!

So far so good

I'm using the heater for my job.We have big overhead doors that are always open and our boss shut the heat down and we are freezing at work. So I thought I would try this heater. I like that its osculating or stays in one place since I'm constantly moving around, or just staying in one place It keeps me warm in a larger area and that is good. Looking forward to it keeping me warm this winter! Not sure if this is the URL but I have STD1278 and item # KPT-1502M PLEASE send me my hand warmer I can really use it! Thanks from a warmer customer! I don't know what else to say to get this to accept this review so I'm just writing whatever comes to my mind. Hope this is enough already!!

No shows.

Won't show up to do service. Call and call. Empty promises and excuses. Very unreliable, techs quit and you are not notified. I went weeks with no treatment, no call, no show

Never finished the sealing after I gave her a perfect score

Very pleasant young lady, worked very hard and stayed in contact pretty much and I could tell she knew her stuff.......she mentioned it could be sealed soon after catching a few raccoons and possum.....In the end, I called her and left message to seal the eves......later the company called me for how satisfied I was with the the work the young lady did, I gave her a perfect score......after that, she never bothered to return my call for days to seal the eves' openings, I had to pay someone else to do that....will never use Trutech again....if she would have called me and said "drop dead jerk", I would have felt better about it.............she played me good and smooth, great actress, she should move to Hollywood, California to become an actress, would probably win an award......when I started, she mentioned a start fee of 129.00 or so and if I would take the treatment, then it would be applied to the 599.00......when I agreed the next day or so, then she said different, that it would be 599.00 plus the 129.00 or so.....never again.

Billing system set up by an idiot

I signed the tech's little electronic pad four months in a row. Then, two weeks after the fourth time I get a bill from Trutech stating that I am 60 days behind for two bills. I called the customer "support" number and received a rude interview with Kendra who cut off our conversation without resolution. Then, a week later I get another bill in the mail stating that I am 60 days late with THREE payments. I call the tech to ask him what credit card number he has in his electronic device and he says that he doesn't know. I am pretty sure that they do not know that the fourth payment was never received either. Each visit consists of checking the bait in their traps which requires ten minutes and the charge for this service is $89.19. That's a few dollars for bait and a whole bunch of money for someone who may not be the tech. The billing system is obviously the result of efforts by the village idiot in Marietta.

What did they do?

I never used Trutech. Looked them up online, but ended up using a local guy to removed squirrels from our attic. Nevertheless, we got a bill for 489 dollars from Trutech. In fact, we got two such bills within a week. Neither had any explanation of services supposedly provided. We tried to call them at the 800 number listed on the bill, but got connected to a "simple three question survey". There was no option to skip the stupid survey and talk to a human. I did the first two questions, but got really annoyed because it wasn't a survey. It was a scam. When I tried to end the "survey" (which was designed to sell me products I don't need), the call was hung up by Trutech.

Expensive

January 2018. Had to sign a contract for a complete year. Wish I had checked out these reviews and compared to other companies first. If they work on commission now I know why it was so high for the initial visit. Would not recommend.
