Sprayed my yard and I have dead grass

Have called you five times and you have told me someone would come to my house and look at grass the one time someone did come it was a driver and she was very nice and told me that they were not supposed to spray and he killed the grass and call and have someone come out and look three times they promised they were coming and this is third time when I called they have told me no one is coming I have used your company for more than twenty years youre customer service is horrible I asked again have someone called me and still waiting

Lied about services rendered, failed to return money in timely manner & WORST customer service

2 weeks in and I’m still waiting for a refund and never got a call from the branch manager.

First, the technician arrived at a time that was not scheduled, which was a problem because we both took time off of work to be there at the first appointment, as we wanted to know what was going on and chemicals used, because we have both pets and small children. Then they lied about what they did. They said they treated 4000 ft.² which was impossible because we have fences. And cameras, ding ding ding for the win ladies and gentlemen. When we called, they originally told us to wait a couple weeks to see if the application worked. This was before I watched my cameras and we were questioning how were they able to get to the backyard because on the paper it said they treated the back they even told us how much chemicals are used. They use so many gallons because for a yard that size you need this much blah blah blah. Why would you suggest to just sit there and wait to see if it worked. How would I even know if it worked or if my grass was just growing normally?? Why wouldnt you just pick up the phone and call your technician and simply ask him?? By that point we did see the cameras, and we did confirm that he did not in fact, treat the backyard, which I had already known. I wanted to cancel service, but then she transferred the call to a supervisor who talked me into waiting until the manager from the local branch called me. I reluctantly agreed. She assured me he would call me before the end of the day. It was 1 PM. Its now been two weeks and I never got a phone call. However, I called in probably another 10 times over the next week or so and every single person I spoke to with the exception of one, was disgustingly rude. One person laughed at me. One person hung up on me. I had to hang up on one person. They ended up putting an application down and charging me almost $100 for it, mind you I never asked for it nor did they tell me they were going to do it. So they said they would take that charge off they did in fact charge me though for the service they lied about. They said they treated 4000 ft.² and theyre lucky if they treated 500 ft.². Yet they charge me full price why would you charge me anything at all. So its now been two weeks and Im still waiting for that refund. You hear a company like Trugreen and you assume that they are legit because theres so commercialized. I dont know how they get away with this. One time towards the end of the 2 weeks when I called in, I hit the button to cancel accidentally. That was the best call. I got through, because obviously they reroute it to Americans who are actually good at customer service. A retention department I am assuming. Because they want the good people on the phone so they can trick you into staying. But everyone else they could care less about. I was even told at one point there are no supervisors in the building that theres no way I can talk to a supervisor. I would have to put a message to talk to a supervisor and they would call me back in a few days. Kind of funny because the first day I was able to talk to a supervisor. So they just give lies upon lies upon lies. It goes from the sales people to the customer service who answers the phone down to the technicians who go out to your house. Dont walk away from this company, RUN.

I’m going to cancel it’s almost the end of May I called April the 20th, I got someone else.

Cant depend on true green, I called back in April, and its now May the 17 and still never came, I have clovers dandelions, lots of weeds, grass isnt growing good.

My lawn looks as bad or worse as it did before TRUGREEN!

I was sold a TRU Health package. Tru Green claimed to be using new better products. Nothing about TRU GREEN is better! Save your money. Currently in the process of TRUGREEN coming out to reapply my lime and spray for weeds.

Not at all happy

Called back in April for lawn service and no one has bothered to come out, I'm verry verry upset, I've had to go and buy 6 small bottles to get rid of dandelions and some weeds, it's hard to bend over to do all of the weeds at 65 years old, I can mo.

Destroyed my lawn

Paid upfront for annual service - after fertilization treatments, lawn looked worse and 30 year old beautiful grass died and went to moss. The property is horrific - leaf blower tonight blowing tons of moss off property, leaving huge dirt spots - getting manager here

POOR service

Trugreen is the worst lawn service company I have ever dealt with! I spent a week getting calls from them(all different people from different parts of the country) after I requested a quote for service. Finally I spoke to someone that seemed knowledgeable and I agreed to use their service. Since that time they have missed THREE scheduled lawn services and this would have been my FIRST service with them. Cancelled today! Beware of nottrugreen!

I finally had to cancell my lawn service with them due to no improvement and xtreme high price for that lack of quality service. I kept their shrub service because of the knowledgeable technician

lack of treatment of shrub care, management does not support the customer. I am tired of begging for service to keep my shrubs disease free. I find there are several other companies who do the same service that seem to care about the customer.. Possibly, management is more interested in becomming a higher grade and less interested in the customer. Please look into the other companies before using Trugreen so that you will not have to go throught the dissappointment that I am experiencing.

Damaged our lawn with excessive fertilizer. Techs walk over weeds instead of treating.

Have had TruGreen for some time. They bought out Turf Master, who did an excellent job. Grass was always green, and very little weeds. During some TruGreen applications we instructed them to not get too close to our inground pool, as their chemicals unbalanced our water. On numerous occasions had to purchase treatments to regain clear, safe pool water. Techs. leave progress notes, with watering and mowing instructions, but WALK OVER WEEDS without treating. Damaged our lawn with excessive fertilizer. We were told the damage would be repaired in the Spring(2023). We just canceled our service with them and were notified that the damage will not done. If we could rate 0, we would have. Don't waste your $$$.

Big on promises zero on delivery

I was sold/ guaranteed something that couldnt be delivered. After looking at photos of our lawn I was told no problem give us a few months. 5/6 months later, it looks 10 times worse. The manager told me it take years and my agreement is up in 2/3 months. Poor communication! No accountability, I was totally scammed and taken advantage of. Please go elsewhere.

Bait and Switch

My lawn was in needing of aeration and overseeing. I called TruGreen and they told me to wait until fall and buy their package. I have had several weed treatments with hardly any results. Then when the aeration came, they can't do my back yard because it has 10 steps. However, when they sold me the package, they said they could do it. They even succeeded in killing new grass that was planted. Despite several phone calls to speak to a supervisor, no call has been returned. They got me into a package and then they were not able to deliver the services as promised. The staff and the technicians that have come out have been extremely nice and apologize for the company. This is a company that seems more interested in getting the money and not caring about customer retention. Terrible customer service and follow through on services promised.

Doing nothing about my lawn

Cancelled the remainder of my the services and received my money back. They sent someone out during the cancellation process and they told me I had cinch bugs in my lawn (yeah buddy I knew that 3 weeks previous and someone else has come out and fixed the issue)....

I signed up for TruGreen a couple of months ago because I noticed several brown spots in my front yard. The first representative that came out was only at my property for about five minutes. They never attempted to speak to me or give me advice or let me know what the issue might be, so I went out and asked him several questions but he seemed extremely nonchalant and gave me very minimal answers. There's been two more treatments with my lawn, in my lawn has only gotten worse with larger dead spots and more brown spots. I have attempted to reach out to customer service several times now and they recently sent out a rep who took a look at my front yard and said that it looks like there's a fungus and he's putting in for a soil sample. A representative was supposed to come out today to take the soil sample, however they showed up appeared to do nothing and put that they were unable to complete my request in the notes on the app. I reached out to customer service yet again which appears to just be a middleman who put your requests in to the actual branch that you were working with and they told me that they would reschedule the service for 2 days from now. Why didn't the first three representatives recommend a soil sample when they're seeing my lawn getting worse with each day, and how come my weeds in my lawn only seem to be getting worse? I also really don't like that there's no local representative that you can reach out to to speak with directly about issues that you have. I'm waiting for a response from someone local or from a customer service representative who can figure out how to fix my issue. It seems like each day that goes by I'm becoming more frustrated in my lawn is getting worse and it seems like nobody has any urgency to help me out. I pre-paid for six treatments like others on here which seems like it was a poor decision. Hoping this gets taken care of and someone actually gives me some answers which is what I was originally looking for.

Worst grass treatment, worse customer service, liars....

I have been dupped by one of your sales associated to pre pay for services by True Green, there were suppose to be 6 services including an aeration/seeding which was due in late September. When I was on the phone with the sales person Andrew I asked how can you treat a grass that you dont know anything about? How can you treat a grass that you have not sampled and understand what type of soil/grass is on the property. He assured me that the person will come on site and take a sample soil and how you guys are the best at what you do. That never happened, not only the person came on my property, did not bother to speak with me to let me know what type of chemicals or when my kid or my dog can be on the grass, he sprayed, packed his stuff and left. No sample, nothing about my grass, next steps or anything of the sort. I was surprised to see that the second treatment was the aeration end of July which should take place in September as what Andrew and I spoke about, so grass can germinate etcthey never told me theyll be on site, I found a few hours before they arrived that one person was running round on my property, I happen to just come home then, saw him on his machine and the spikes that were suppose to aerate my ground were not even hitting the ground, he was just joy riding on my lawn, did not say a word to me, picked up his stuff and left.after I was upset, I called True Green and explained how unhappy I was and they told me I would get my money back. I am out of pocket $1500 for a garbage service at this point. I wait for 2 weeks and nothing happens, no refund, no call, no nothing.I have no problem paying for a service as long as that service is rendered. They forced another service on me for free same joke same person I specifically asked for NO ONE to be on my property, they came when I was not home..very unhappy I just called today upset and asked where my refund was, someone left me a message that its not a money back guarantee policy, basically you can do as you please on my grass and I am supposed to like it.and that no money will be refunded. When I spoke with the operator she said I should be getting back $600 this week, that is a portion of my initial payment. I have no problem paying for the first session, but for this aeration I am not paying for it, they did nothing. I am reaching out to you hoping you can rectify this situation, again I have no problem paying for the first session, the rest I want back and I never want to hear the word True Green again. Damaged lawn

STAY AWAY !!! I will keep it simple, they burned out my lawn over a month ago with a product that was never requested to be put down.I have made multiple calls over the last month and sent them pictures of the damage with a guarantee that someone would call me back, and I continue to wait for that call. I have been the one who has been responsible to seed and water the damaged that they created. The customer service is horrible, and the supervisor will never get on the phone to resolve the issue! HORRIBLE SERVICE !! SAVE YOURSELF THE AGGRAVATION AND FIND ANOTHER COMPANY!

Resolved: Bad faith / failure to provide refund of prepay balance

Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with full refund. As of 30 May, the credits are official.

That took a LOT of effort on my part.My advice to anyone considering TruGreen is : Run.

This company is a disgrace. Look elsewhere for your lawn and pest control..

As of this morning, I see a pending credit on my credit card for the balance of my prepaid services. If these pending charges go through (and I should know in a few business days) then I will consider the refund part of my complaint as resolved.

As of 5/28 I now see pending credits on my credit card. Assuming these credits go through ( and I won't know for a few business days ) then the issue of the refund will be resolved. If not, then I will update here.

Re: TruGreen 5065 - **** N. Forsyth Rd., Orlando, FL 32807 What started out as great service turned into a nightmare. I hired TruGreen in the summer of 2020, because my previous lawn service/pest control company allowed my lawn to turn into a weed apocalypse then gave me a hard time about it. So I got someone else. And for the remainder of 2020 and for the most part in 2021, TruGreen managed to rehabilitate my very sad lawn. They were responsive, came out to re-treat when asked. They were friendly and answered questions. Life was good. Well, except that unlike 2020, TruGreen did not use TopChoice for the yearly fireant service in July 2021. They used Advion then ignored my question as to why. Mistakes happen, I know, but ignoring the question, and then not making it right? Hm. That really should have been my first clue. In the fall of 2021, my normally reliable single point of contact said they'd call me with a price for 2022 in mid December 2021. Mid December came and went...and my followup texts and voicemails to them went unanswered. TruGreen was MIA. The call center was perpetual holdfest, notes sent to Customer Service from the web portal were unanswered. This should have been my second hint to GET OUT. When I finally managed to get someone to respond, I got several different prices, a promise of a call back...then more silence. I eventually just pre-paid for my 3 services via my online account because I figured they'd make it right. Silly me. Hope is just another word for denial... Service didn't actually start until 1/17 and that was my first TruHealth lawn service for 2022. The second was on 3/8. My third TruHealth lawn service was on 4/11. [it's 5/27 as I write this...] And aside from the free re-services for weeds (3/30, 4/18, and 5/9), and the re-treatment for fireants (that shouldn't have been necessary) (4/18 and 4/25) -- they haven't been back. My lawn, despite supplemental irrigation and a decent amount of rain, isn't growing. It is sickly and yellowish. The only thing that IS growing are the weeds. I don't like phone calls because I prefer having a written record of interactions with vendors -- it keeps things straight. And without a single point of contact this year, I use the online account portal or email to contact CS. And every time I'd send an email to Customer Service I'd eventually get 2 different responses -- sometimes with conflicting or incorrect info. It's also important to note that their response time is at least 3-4 days IF at all. And God help you if you send more than one email. You may get multiple responses that will all contradict each other. By last weekend I'd complained about weeds (AGAIN) and questioned why they hadn't been out to do the regular service since early April and...no response. The service manager, who gave me his contact info when he came out personally to take care of fireants on 4/25, was also non-responsive though he was copied on the email. Several days ago was the point I decided I'd spent enough time trying to get them to perform as agreed. And I emailed that I wanted to cancel my account and have the remaining portion of my prepay ($650.67) returned to me. I got no response. So I texted the branch manager and...he told me to go through the call center. Wow. So I called and managed to get to speak to someone who promised me a refund, but who didn't want to cancel my account before the refund. Oookay. She also said TruGreen would "make it right" first and get the techs out to take care of the fertilizer and the weeds and the fireants at no charge. Okay. She even emailed me to tell me that the refund was "in process". Cool. Then I logged in to my account and saw that a TruHealth service was scheduled for 6/1. So I emailed her and asked about it. And about details of my refund. And haven't heard back since. I followed up. Silence. This kind of runaround is probably what you can expect. When it comes right down to it -- TruGreen doesn't give a damn about me, my lawn, or doing the right thing. And if they do it to me, they'll probably do it to you too.
