Review about Truckaddons Online Order from Paris, Kentucky

I placed an order recently and all was great. Found out they are now owned by a new company called Truck And Extras. Got my part in two days. Will use them again!

Online Order Review

Called to inquire about order. Bfirst 800 number was a private residence. Next time I finally talked to a person who gave me a song and dance about a new company taking over. Bulls_hit. Boo. Terrible.

They would not send the part I ordered

I ordered a part on 12-11-13 (rapid flow intake) on line and paid with Paypal. I checked on the order status 2 weeks later because I never received a e-mail from them. When I called I talked to a subject who advised me that the manager cancelled my order. I talked to eh manger and he advised me Paypal had a problem with the transaction. I called Paypal and they stated that they were waiting for Truckaddons to receive the funds. I called Truckaddons back and advised them it was not a Paypal issue and they advised me to reorder the intake. I did reorder the intake and found the order was again cancelled. I sent a letter to the company CEO Mr. Barry Sanders, who never replied. What a worthless company.

Www.truckaddons will not refund what is DUE me!

March 26, 2014 A VERY TRUE STORY – truckaddons vs Teodora Shinn @truckaddons for a $795 cover turned up $1043.50 a cover that was returned unopened #iwantmyrefund #donotpatronize I Purchased truck cover for a surprised gift Christmas gift for my husband on December 5, 2013 Paid via credit card for $795.00. The truck cover arrived on December 19. It was NOT the perfect cover for my husband’s construction company. On Dec 22, I called truckaddons and requested an RMA number to return the product. I was given an RMA number, sent/shipped it back “unopened” to the manufacturer via FedExp LTL. I wrote on the FedExp LTL form that the RECIPIENT will pay for the freight. On January 3, I received a FedEx invoice for $705.50. I called FedExp numerous times to reverse the charges as RECIPIENT was to pay for the freight. To top it all, I found out the truckaddons has a “special shipping/discounted price with FedEx LTL – lower that the $705.50 that was being billed to me. Simple solution, truckaddons should have passed the discounted rate that FedEx LTL gave them and passed them on to me – the CASED CLOSED. I called truckaddons – and NO RETURN CALL – and FedExp told me that they have send truckaddons the total discounted shipping price they have with FedExp and that they can just forward this amount to me (which is lower than the original invoice of $705.50 To sum it all up: After almost 3 months of trying to resolve these issue with truckaddons – and here is my breakdown: Vehicle Information: Make: Toyota Model: Tacoma Year: 2006 Wheel: Pre Runner Doors: Bed: 5' Short Bed Cab: yes Engine: V6 Dec 5, 2013 Order # P0176483 Original Order $795.00 Feb 26, 2014 I am pleading truckaddons to work with FedExp regarding this $703.50 invoice that FedExp LTL is charging me. As mentioned, they have sent me a 2nd "delinquent" notice and will be sent to collections. This needs to get closure. 866-393-**** Ref: Freight Bill # 285551**** To date: $795.00 Truck Cover $703.53 FedExp bill (they have a discounted rate with FedExp - I am willing to pay for their discounted rate! ($455.00) Refund for return of cover So far, I have ended up paying $1,043.50 for a $795.00 cover which TruckAddons already have in their possession. (FREE & CLEAR.) I want this resolved. Took payment and filed bankruptcy.

The company, Truckaddons, took my order on 2/20/14 for $816.20 and deducted the amount from my checking account. When I called to check on the order today, March 24, 2014, I found out they have closed and filed for bankruptcy. They are not returning any calls or emails. I had to contact the Lexington, KY Chamber of Commerce to find out that the business has closed and filed for bankruptcy. The person who took my order in February had to know they were going to file for bankruptcy but took my money anyway. We were told we would have to show up to the bankruptcy court.

Products that i ordered not shipped completely

I order shock absorber last january 2014 and it paid it thru credit card, they charge all 8 pieces of shock absorber and only shipped 6 pieces . I tried to call them since then and no one answered, email them and had no response from them. it cost $329. no customer service at all. today is march 20 and still never heard from the company. can anyone tell me if this company already shut down? how come they still have a website and still doing their advertising. I even tried to contact the owner and still no answer. it also did tweet them and told them I'm so pissed, still nobody from that company has ever contact me.

Out of Business

They are basically out of business. They have been cut off by all of their suppliers and can't get product, go somewhere else. No one will sell to them and they have skipped out on paying their bills. They need to keep your money to pay their suppliers and you won't get your products. I found out the hard way when I found out, I called their lawyer and they basically told me I'm out of luck. I'll go to Autoanything or TruckXL for all my stuff from now on, they are reputable. Not a bunch of thieving liars that they are here. Good Luck!

Ordered Truxedo Tonneau cover Feb 20th and not yet shipped

I ordered a Truxedo deuce tonneau cover and they charged my CC immediately. After 10 days and no shipping info I started trying to contact them. Phone nos just give fast busy signals..have tried emailing many times with no resulting replies. I think they have now changed name to TRUCKEXTRAS.com and they still will not answer phones, suspect they have blocked. They have probably gone out of business as their FB page says permanently removed. I only wish I had been more astute about looking for reviews on them before ordering. They are very very bad people doing bad things to good people and I hope their employees are very ashamed of themselves!!!b

Truckaddon- made order they are unable to be reached

Ordered on 2/11/14 my card was charged for the 450.00 dollars and a email receipt was sent informing me that a second email notification would be sent when item shipped. After two weeks of not hearing anything I placed an email inquiry for an update on my my product. I did the same thing the following week. It is now 3/11/14 and I have sent weekly tracking requests and have not been able to get through on any of their phone lines. It is as if they have shut their doors and ran. My next step will be seeing if my bank can help out on the money. I wish something could be done to not let this company take advantage of their customers. When you search for WARN products on line they are listed numerous times and appear to be the offical warn outlet dealer. I'm sure a company with WARN's reputation would not want to be associated with this apparent scam. I also find it interesting that when you go to submit a complaint on this site they ask you to contact the dealer directly and provide a link to do so. I wish I could but that doesn't seem possible

They received my return 2/5/14 and still not credited my $230

Didn't mail my LED light bar for over a month, once I received I needed to return. They show signing for it on 2/5/14 and still haven't credited my account. Now the phones are disconnected. Very pissed customer, I have sent numerous emails. Early February I actually go through to an answering machine but never received a call back either. I am at a loss of what to do next. Google searches show the main company filed bankruptcy, but his alias sites truckaddons still have a functioning website taking orders. How is this even legal? Does the consumer have any legal ground to stand on?

Taking orders via online and not shipping products

TruckAddons.com aka WestinFactoryOutlet.com aka Trail Blazers are total ripoffs. This company is STILL taking orders online via these websites (maybe more) and they are NOT paying the vendors for the products and NOW the phones are disconnected. They are not to be trusted and should be avoided at ALL costs. This clown who runs this operation doesn't STOCK anything, he plays the middle man and steals your hard earned money. He is still operating even though he disconnected his phones. He should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law and thrown in jail for FRAUD and GRAND THEFT. He operates from another state and steals your money so the FEDS should get off their over paid *** and get involved. Come on OBAMA wake up and do something for JOHN Q CITIZEN and get this trash in jail where he belongs.

Ordered cover for truck and 1 month later it still hasnt shipped!

Ordered product from vendor and was charged for product. Product has not shipped and now nobody will take or return my calls. I purchased a Encore Tonneau cover on 1/27/14 (model E18 6****). In the confirmation email, it said product would ship within 5-7 days. After 2 weeks of not hearing anything, I called and was told that product would be delivered within 1 week. After the week passed and no delivery, I called again to find status. On 2/17/14 I called and talked with Randy Foley. He told me that there was a delay at the factory and this was the problem. I called the factory and talked with Jeff and he told me there was not a delay. My product was ready to be shipped however they wouldnt ship it because they had not been paid for the product. He said once they were paid they would ship it within 24 hours. I called Randy back and told him what I found out. He transferred me to Phillip in purchasing to see if he could help me. I left a voicemail and he never called me back. That afternoon, I talked with Randy again and he walked over to Phillips desk and got him to pick up the phone and talk with me. He told me to touch base with him on 2/18 and he would have an answer and work to get the shipment expedited. I called and left him a voicemail and he never called me back. I also left messages for Larry Compton (he is the GM and I was told he would help me.) Over the course of 3 days I have left numerous voicemails for all involved and I have yet to receive back 1 phone call.

Never shipped Item/Terrible Customer service

Order Tonneau cover over 3 wks ago and never received a tracking number or update on shipping. I called the company and they said it had been damaged by the manufacturer during shipping and they never shipped it, they said a replacement would be shipped the next day. The next day I received a email stating that it would be another week before it shipped, and I need to fill out a cancellation form to get my money back. I had to call back 3 different times, because I was either hung up on or transferred to someones voice mail. I believe this is a small company due to the rude staff and lack of customer service. Do not use this company, because if you have any problems you are at their mercy. Still awaiting someone to call me to try and receive a refund.

Yelled at by customer service for their mistake

Worst customer service I've ever encountered. I ordered a product in the $600 range. They sent the wrong one. To expedite shipment, I was told to order and pay for another one, send back the wrong one, and I'd be credited. Despite numerous e-mails and phone calls, the credit never happened. I disputed the charge on my credit card for the first product that I had sent back a few weeks earlier. Coincidentally?, Truck add-ons credited my acct. for that amount later that day. A customer service rep. started to relentlessly call me, yelling at me, under the mistaken impression that I had disputed both charges - absolutely yelling at me, saying he was going to file criminal charges. I had to have my credit card co. call him. Incidentally, on a conference call, he doesn't yell.

Terrible communication and overall customer service

I ordered a lift kit and was told it would take 5-10 business days to receive (sounds great). Day 7 I requested shipping info (via email since that's the only way they will communicate this). Response stated that my order was set to ship and they would notify me of tracking info. I replied asking for explanation on why it took so long to ship. No response. (getting irritated, but waiting patiently) Day 9 I received an email stating my order had shipped but no tracking info was available. (okay, stuff happens...) Day 18 I emailed again requesting shipping status and tracking info. I was told my order would go out that day. I immediately asked for an explanation because I understood it had already shipped. No response. I emailed again and asked for a manager to call. Received email response that rep would speak to mgr and respond to me that afternoon. No response. I called the number on my email and left a VM for a manager to call, no response. That evening I sent detailed email via customer service form on website requesting a manager call me. Day 19 I received an email from a manager stating I would be hearing from a different rep to resolve issue. That rep also emailed with very lengthy explanation with reason for delay with my order. I replied asking to SPEAK with someone. He immediately called me and explained that essentially "it was someone elses (suppliers) fault". When I got home there were boxes at my door. When opening we found NO packing slip or anything indicating what should be in boxes. We immediately realized there were parts missing from the "kit". I called customer service requesting some kind of list to compare to in order to verify we have all of what was ordered (since a kit has multiple parts not included on initial order receipt) and rep said he could not verify contents since supplier cannot be contacted. He would call me the following morning. No return call ever received!!! Day 20 I received an email stating my order (of some of the missing parts) was placed. I contacted rep from earlier date and he stated he would look into order and we would get it resolved. Sent detailed message via customer service form on website again. Never have received a response to that. Day 23 I emailed the first manager who responded earlier, to find out status and he told me he would again have a rep contact me. Rep called to say order has all been shipped. Received remaining parts to my initial order later that day. I never felt like my concerns were addressed. Nobody responded with explanations of what was taking place and I felt like many of the reps were just annoyed to have to discuss anything and thought that if they don't respond and just "fix" the issue that that would be enough. It was unacceptable customer service!!! Terrible communication!!! Very unprofessional!!! I spent a lot of money and once they got that, that's all they cared about.

Failed to deliver~Failed to respond

I too was fooled by this company. A friend recommended I try them. Ha !! I ordered 4 items on July 16 2013 and paid by Chase CCard. I was told I d receive and email in 24-48 hours( Sound Familiar ?? Their basic scam line) and confirmation of shipping and tracking info. NOT !! Two of my items arrived the same day I rec'd the tracking info, with no mention of the 2 missing items. Several phone calls most of which are unanswered voice mails. Finally had to pose as a prospective new customer in order to get a live voice on phone. Was told it was on back order, and that Putco Industiries does not carry the trim package for my 2013 ford F 150 crew cab inn stock. Yep~ I m the only one in the country with a 2013 Ford that decided to put stainless rocker panels on my Ford. The voice said I would have the trim and my AVS bug deflector by Aug 1st. I assumed he meant August 1st 2013~ My bad. August 2nd called and left more voice mail for Randy Foley who never returns a phone call. Got live chat with Rosa Messer who advised that both items should be shipped the following week~ unhuh. August 6 I get my bug deflector, but no invoice, phone call or response to my email about the missing trim. Truckaddons by the way was johnnie on the spot about charging the full amount of my order on my CCard July 18, 2 days after I ordered. The FULL amount on items they do not even have in stock. August 12th 2013 I try live chat~ no one answers. They say that they will contact me when they are available. No answer at the missing Randy Foleys phone~ and again, never the courtesy of a returned call. I get a lady on the returns line, and tell her I wish to cancel my order. She tells me I need to go to their website and fill out a cancellation form. I told her I find this odd, as they were happy to take my order over the phone, and without me filling out an order form~ Go figure, and after all aren't all of their calls recorded ? I fill out the cancellation form, detailing the reason ~ Failure on TA part to deliver the parts ordered. The form says I will receive an email confirming the cancellation request. Aug 13, I check my email, no email, no return contact from TA. I call and get a gent on line who really seems perturbed that I am even calling to complain. First he says that that is what happens when parts are made in foreign countries( Putco is a made in the USA company), then says he sees that I filed a cancellation request, but can't advise if it will be honored until Putco responds, and he says that could be 2=3 days or even a week. He then suggests that I should stick with my order from TA because if I cancel and order from elsewhere, my wait time begins again. He never apologizes for the delay, lack of communication from TA, or even offers to call me back after sorting out the problem. I hang up and file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau of Lexington, Ky where Ta is located. I receive a complaint number. August 14th ~ No response from the jokers at TA, nor any email from the BBB of Lexington. Apparently they all graduated from the same business school. August 14 ~ Yep No contact from any of the folks in Caintuck. I file a second cancellation order with TA stressing that this is my second request and that I have not received any email confirmation that they have received my request. I then call my CCard company. In 2 rings I get a live person on the phone. They want to help me. She listens to my problem, apologizes for the problem I am having( though not her fault). I indicate that I want to dispute a charge of $283.44 since I have not received the trim package and no one at TA can give me a delivery date if any. She transfers me to another live person, and stays on the line, explaining my difficulty to the new operator in disputes. She takes my info over the phone~ Nope no forms to fill out. She indicates the CCard is crediting me back the $284.44 and the CCard company will deal with TA s bank to recoup the funds. WOW !! I am impressed~ My problem is handled efficiently and courteously in 5 minutes. I will definitely stay with this company. In closing I tell her of a pervasive pattern that TA employs~ which is to ship and try to bill for items after they have been canceled ( see other customers experiences on this forum). She makes a note of it . As for Truckaddons, You say you 've been in business 35 years. Perhaps that is a year or two too long. You have ZERO customer skills, and zero business ethics. All you had to do was explain that you can t get this item in a timely fashion, and offer a refund. I will never, ever use this company again. I will make every effort to make all of my fellow truck owners aware of the poor and unethical business practices used by this company. And oh yes~~ It is August 15th 2013, The Better Business Bureau of Lexington Ky~~ Still no response or email. And yes Randy Foley is still missing and hasn't returned any calls, and no there are no emails or contact from Truckaddons. Let's see how quickly TA jumps on a response to this complaint. Faster than you can spell P U T C O !!
