"Value" = Cheap!

I'm in my mid-50's and have been around shotguns my entire life. 1100, A5, SP10... you name it. I can break them down and put them together in a flash. And I'm just saying taking the barrel off and on... nothing fancy. So I pick this up for my daughter as she doesn't hunt much and it was light. We hunt geese in KS so I wanted the ability to shoot 3.5. Anyway, I pick up the gun, bring it home and proceeded to spend the next hour trying to put the darn barrel on! Read the manual, googled it, you name it. No luck and the barrel and action kept getting stuck. Finally, had enough and took it back to Bass Pro where it was shipped too. It took 4 guys in the gun dept to finally figure out how to get the barrel on. Then they tried to take it back off! Another 15 minutes!! At the end of the day you have to "shake and shimmy it". Something that should take, literally seconds to do took 5 grown men (all experienced hunters) a combined 90 minutes to figure out!!! Well, since its not returnable, I decided to follow directions and cycle a box of 3.5 mags through it. Well, it didn't take long for it not to eject the shells cleanly (2d round of 3 shots didn't cycle) and at about the 16'th shell the action froze halfway back and doesn't move. It's like welded in place. So, I have an empty shell in the barrel as the action is frozen about and 2 shells in the chamber. Knowing I was defeated, I took a deep breath, came home and ordered a Browning Silver like I should've from day one. Beware. Value = cheap. The trigger mechanism is plastic, and it takes a significant amount of force to take the safety off. When birds are cupped the last thing you want to do is mess around with trying to getting the safety off especially if you're only going to get 1 or 2 shots because the gun doesn't eject. Going to call Tri-Star as this has to be a lemon. But I will refuse to send it back (because you pay for shipping) unless they agree to send me back a brand new one. Doubt that will happen so I will try to sell what is a brand-new gun for $200-$300 and kick myself for breaking my rule of "You get what you pay for". The Heartland Waterfowl Boys need to dump this sponsor... stat!

TT-15 Field and Sporting 12ga made excellent trap guns

We bought two new TT-15's one sporting and one field, for two young rookies learning to trap shooter. Due to the difficulties of low inventories we could not get them the same gun. Both shooters shot 23 for 25 on their first rounds with these guns. The best ever for either of them. One shooter put another round up and shot another 23 back to back. His average previously had been under 12. With a top of 18. The other shooter is a 16 to 21 out of 25 normally. No stock or comb adjusting, they were cleaned, oiled and full choked right out of the box at the gun club just before shooting. A couple shots were taken to pattern them and right onto the firing line. I had some excellent remarks from a very knowledgeable gun dealer about TriStar, but had to buy them from another dealer who had two similar guns. He also only had good to say about the TT-15's. We were looking for two TT-15 trap combos to get the adjustability, but I am very pleased with the field and the sporting TT-15.

I bought a Tristar Bristol 20 gauge side by side in March 2022 from Cabelas. I shot this on the trap range at 16 yards and “missed “ about half the targets. I then patterned it at 16 yds on paper.

The gun shot about 3 to 4 high at 16 yds and the barrels differed visibly in height. Repeated after making a wooden rib that was 3/8 high which brought the height down to where it reasonably should be but the uneven height difference was still apparent. Requested a shipping label to be emailed to me. Waited ten days and no label. Called them back and no apology was given. So now waiting again for label. Stay tuned for the outcome.

Shipping

My son bought a TriStar shotgun last August and has nothing but problems with it. We are needing to ship it to you and was wondering how to get a shipping label from you so we can ship it to you. We shouldn't have to pay shipping either way due to it being under warranty and barely 6 months old.
