Resolved: Wheel I ordered not delivered

Updated by user Jun 02, 2023

Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with product replacement.

Original review May 26, 2023
I have a 750 trike & ordered wheel 4/26/2023..I was charged $87 and told that delivery could take 30days but normal is 15 days. I'm wondering when you will be done with the manufacturing.

Delivered exactly what we ordered

Got my Triad and its exactly what we ordered. Had it about 6 months now, and it runs like a top. It has lot more safety built in. Brakes and battery safety was a major concern with all the other products I looked into. I didnt like those heavy old lead batteries and Triad was the only thing out there that gave me light weight and all the power I need day to day because Im almost over 300 lbs.

Terrible product battery lasted a year

The battery came apart couldnt find Ben get it out of the black bag. So had to cut the bag to get the battery out before it exploded in my garage. The scooter was a gift for my mom since she cant get around anymore. To get a replacement battery is $750 because apparently you can only buy their battery. Well after spending $2200+ a year ago I cant put out another $750 on a battery to only last a year. I dont care about Bluetooth on a battery my mom cant do that anyway. She has no idea what to do even after explaining it many times to her. So basically we just have a 3 wheel paperweight now. This is wrong on so many levels if this for the elderly which most are on a fixed income how are they supposed to be able to affordable a battery every year. This is ridiculous there should be other options especially if you dont need a Bluetooth battery in the 1st place.

Research

Exact and consistent specs/details are not clear. Manufacturing base is not identified. Enormous number of pretty videos and pictures but little else. Product was great looking but they could improve their service. Velofix does not service 750's in San Diego as it referenced on the website

Velofix won't even touch the product in San Diego. I purchased the Triad 750 with the understanding Velofix could service the product. I spent endless energy & time trying communicate the brake problem. They do not want to let people know what their service is like & have been told, via email, ... "At this time your account is suspended for 180 days". Also, it says "until we can see the Yelp review has been permanently removed." Beautiful looking product and I would assume it would be fun to ride, but less than 2 miles on it, I probably will truly never find out. I'm done! I will not be silenced from stating my opinion of my experience.

Can't get response to download manual.

I just need to owner's manual to download. Seems like a secret to get! Scooter not working. Less than 1 year old. Barely ridden. Was but quit. Flashing blue light. Manual was sent via text when purchased. Tried to open again and unreadable.

This product is junk and company is a rip off

Absolute junk! Never worked correctly from day one. They jerk your around about adjusting battery settings on the horrible app for weeks. Sent battery back at their request. Supposed to return in a week and kept a month. Once it came back it was the exact same issues. Called emailed and messaged and all they want to do is talk about resetting battery again. This product is junk and a waste of almost $2000. If you want to be ripped off buy from them. I am sure they will respond and say they tried to help me but did not. Send a new battery or send a new unit. Once I pushed and threatened bad reviews and legal action they said they would no longer respond. I bought in February and issue still not resolved. Have a formal complaint going to the Nc attorney General and the US Post master.

Battery running down after 5 miles

The 1,000 Quantum model was advertised to run 22/25 miles per charge, and through grass and up hill, it does not do that, my first and only time taking it out it ran about 5 miles on level concrete sidewalks and the last battery level light came on, I called Triad service and they told me to diagnose the problem myself, their service is terrible they will not help at all, I do not recommend anyone buying from Triad

Poor quality and customer service

Original review Aug 02, 2021
The only reason I am giving them 1 star is because there are no negative stars... My problems began the day the scooter arrived. I could write a 2-page review just on the poor quality alone and that wouldnt even cover the frustration of the poor performance, terrible battery life and having to rely on passing motorists to assist me when the piece of junk died 3 kms from my house. I spent countless hrs on the phone and emails trying to get the issues resolved. Finally, after a lot of back and forth the refused to refund my money but agreed to send me a new scooter. OK I thought way to go Triad. Good on you. Until my new scooter arrived. The replacement is worse than the original. When I tried to contact them, they refused to return my calls and emails. I tried numerous times over a period of wo weeks until it became obvious that they had written me off as a customer. The brake lines were installed so that they ran behind the down tube making it impossible to close and secure the body. I had to remove the calipers and reroute the lines. The brackets holding the calipers were welded to far apart, so they used washers as spacers. No big deal except when you try to adjust the rear brakes pads and find out the washers cause the calipers to be to close to the tire so its impossible to get an allen key in to adjust the pads. They didnt include the bolts to secure the down tube to the body. Good thing I had the ones from my first scooter. Except when I tried to remove them the cheap plastic broke. I found two bare wires and had to look on my old scooter to determine what they were for. Turns out the were for the ground effects lights which cannot be fixed because they are LED strip lights. The plastic body was cracked at one of the hinges. it also had multiple scratches and paint missing. Both back tires were flat and the paint on front wheel was bubbled and peeling off. Obviously there were too many issues so I couldnt even assemble this piece of junk. I decided to put the new and improved battery they sent into my old piece of junk so that I would at least have something to ride, hoping the new battery would solve my performance issues. NOPE. The new and improved battery with Smart technology would completely cut out as soon as it felt the least bit of resistance. I would have to remove the screws, lift the floor and disconnect the battery in order to reset it. I could go on and on but I think you get my point. I also have pictures and video to back up my review. If you want to save yourself from a world of frustration do not buy a Triad scooter. They are poorly made Chinese junk and the company has Zero compassion for you as a customer.

Triad Electirc Scooter Complaint

Updated by user Feb 03, 2018
2/2/18 Friday - I contacted Triad again by phone today and once again went thru everything with the receptionist. (Asked for someone in management but they were all busy.

Said they would have someone call me back. NEVER HAPPENED). Most frustrating and I'm deeply disappointed in the lack of service. Can't get a call back or answer to any of my emails.

After multiple attempts this past week, I'm done! Now I'll make every effort to send these units back and demand my $3,600. refund.

On January 30th I received (2) Triad 750 series electric scooters. Having waited two weeks longer than promised, I was most anxious to get our new machines. Upon arrival, one of the units had sustained substantial damage during shipping and was partially re-boxed in a furniture carton. Upon calling Triad, the receptionist advised me to contact their shipping dept. by email as they would not accept any incoming calls. So, I contacted them as instructed, included a full explanation along with photos. NO RESPONSE. The next day I contacted the receptionist again and told her I hadn't heard from their shipping dept. and then sent a second request. NO RESPONSE. The 3rd time I called the receptionist I expressed my dissatisfaction in not being able to talk to someone then asked for "New Sales" (thinking I could talk to the salesperson that originally took my order). NO LUCK! My friendly receptionist then tells me all the sales people are busy and makes no commitment to have anyone call me back. So, if your thinking of purchasing a Triad Scooter, remember, any product is only as good as it's service. Now I'm pissed and wish I hadn't made the purchase. Joe Drazich, Lynnwood, Wash.
