They did not pay any money back!

We booked a flight with Travelstart. We had to cancel the flight after a couple of weeks. They did not return the taxes,luggage fees and airport fees. I am pissed!! Matthias

Travelstart uncontactable

Not able to get any response from them to sort out a refund for an over charge on luggage. Numerous emails sent are not even acknowledged as received let alone responded to.

I just dont find it convenient that they are unable to make booking changes while they are paid admin fees by us as clients. They need to renegotiate their relationship with airlines

Really bad service!

We had booked a flight to Greenland via travelstart.de. Unfortunately, my sister missed the outward flight because travelstart.de did not communicate the actual departure time correctly. But that is ultimately also our own fault, since we didn't check again at the airport and relied entirely on the communication from travelstart.de. But what is not ok at all is that the return flight was automatically canceled without us receiving any communication from travelstart.de. None at all! In addition, I have been writing back and forth with the Travelstart employees for weeks now (always others) that I would like to have all the taxes and fees back for the entire flight in accordance with EU law. First they wanted a processing fee for processing it at all - Attention: A processing fee for the refund is also not legal. Travelstart has only refunded me about half of the fees so far and I've been trying to get the rest ever since. They keep sending me to the airline "Icelandair" to contact them and discuss the problem with the missing taxes and fees. I did that several times and contacted the airline myself. However, Icelandair always sends me back to the provider & seller of the flight (which makes sense). Travelstart, in turn, sends me Icelandair's phone number every time. Travelstart refuses to refund the rest of the taxes & fees as they blame Icelandair.

I have been struggling for 2 weeks now to change my flight date. They don't have a working email and you can only phone them. I can't phone because Im not in SA now. After messaging they don't reply!

There is no way to contact them except for phoning them?! I can't phone because I am currently in the USA. They don't have an email and if you message them on their website they don't reply! I need to change my flight date urgently!!

Unreliability at its best

I suggest that no one uses Travelstart. I made a booking, never got issued tickets, got refunded more than R2000 less than what I paid and they are unwilling to make it right. If you have R2000 to risk...then go ahead. They emailed me and said they would get back to me by yesterday. Never heard from them again.

Self check-in is not possible

Self check-in is not possible, and they force you to use their paid check-in service if you want it or not. It costs 15 extra. #darkpattern

Absolutely poor service. It took forever to get my refund back from SAA trough Travelstart.

SAA cancelled my flight and I had to take another flight with Airlink. It cost me more money. After applying for a refund, I am still waiting after 12 week for this money. Absolutely unacceptable and poor management.

Very bad and stoller's, don't trust on them and their services

WORST COMPANY EVER

TRAVELSTART is the worst company ever i have been following up from past 5 months with regard to my refund status it's been more than 5 months i still did not receive my refund and even a proper answer why it's taking so long. You guys have cheated clearly here and i have all the evidence with me and i have planned to file a complaint in CONSUMER FORUM. I will only wait for your reply till 24 hours.

Refund

Hi my name is Somayeh Akbaritakhtmeshloo. My flight from Marseille to Zurich (Flight number LX581, SWISS airline) on January 6th with got canceled. According to European law (EU261) I am entitled to 250 EUR compensation. I applied for compensation through the SWISS airline website Several times and got rejections every time due to an issue with my booking number.
