Buyer Beware
I engaged Tommy Solomon to repaint 2 outboard engine covers. After completion of the job, Tommy submitted an invoice in the amount of $4,400.00. This was twice the amount of new engine covers on 5 times the market price for repainting engine covers. After refusing to accept market prices, Tommy filed a lawsuit demanding the $4,400. Fortunately the judge saw that this was excessive and reduced the amount to $1,600. It has come to my attention that this is common practice with Tommy Solomon. He on numerous occaission exceeds the scope of work and than demands payment. Do your research and you will find other people who had similar experiences.
