Resolved: Nice food, terrible customer service

Updated by user Jul 14, 2023

I received a refund from uber Eats on Tim Hortons behalf. This is apparently a gesture of goodwill and may not be the case in future, so I guess I will refrain from ordering from Tim Hortons from now on.

So far... being ignored

Original review Jul 14, 2023
I've been ordering from your Sheffield Drake House branch twice a week, for the past few months through Uber Eats. Because of my son's autism and all his related sensory issues, he will only have plain double cheeseburgers so we always specify that in the special instructions box. However, today is the third time we've received regular cheeseburgers with all the ingredients that literally make him retch. I contacted you through your website the first time it happened but was completely ignored. The second time, I received a "contact Uber Eats" dismissive reply (by the time I received it, I wasn't even sure which order it was and just gave up on contacting them). Today is the third time it happened. I contacted Uber Eats immediately but only received a template message about how sorry they are because they "aim to partner with merchants who exhibit professionalism". No solution offered whatsoever. And honestly, I'm frickin furious. Because someone should take responsibility, and it's Tim Hortons staff that prepare the food. We even put the instructions in capitals now so that they aren't missed. How hard is it to read them? We pay for the food, we pay for the delivery, twice a week every week, and we still never know what we're going to get. I'm a single mum to my boy and neither one of us are going to eat those burgers. So we threw money in the bin... again. How is this possible?! I understand that mistakes can be made, and we do order frequently so I guess that makes it more likely that at some point a mistake will take place. But what is shocking to me is the lack of respect and the absolute worst customer service I've ever experienced. You're just blame shifting and you treat your customers like they're wortless.

Wrong order received

I went to Tim Horton in Perth with my friends to buy hot drinks. When ordering our drinks, we ordered French Vanilla Latte and a cup of tea. I told them that i had a blue light card and the staff member said that they accept this as a discount card. We drove round to collect our drinks and showed the man behind the counter the blue light card. He charged us the full amount. When we asked if he had given us discount, he stated that he did not. He gave us 2 x titbits to compensate. We received drinks and drive off. Once we took a sip of the drinks, we realised that we were given a normal latte and a mint tea with milk in it. I could not return as I was in a hurry. I tried to get a telephone number fir them so I could speak to them, but no number available. I am leaving the review as I am very upset with the service i received.

Discrimation in the workplace

Discrimination in workplace I have been working with the chichester branch of Tim Hortons wince before it has opened and i am single handedly responsible for over 1000+ 4/5 star reviews with the restaurant and yet i am still treated differently and poorly by the managers. Managers make jokes about me being gay, everybody else in the workplace has free reign of food and drink to enjoy while i have to ask and be declined a lot of the time. Everybody else is getting enough hours to live on and since i have been back from my holidays i have had next to zero shifts and having to work friday and saturday every week when i have specifically stated tonnes of times i would like to not work saturday as i can not get a ride home for free most times and it takes me around an hour and half instead of the usual 25 it takes me when getting said lift. I am sick and tired of being treated like dirt in a workplace whos reputation i have built online for them (feel free to count how many reviews contain the name Zak and they are only the ones who remembered my name. I need this issue sorted because this is going against my human rights in the workplace when i was promised this was an inclusive workplace.

Complaint

I have been through the Drive Thru Tim Hortons in Boldon, Tyne and Wear today and for a second time (first time a week ago), I arrived home to discover a full meal was missing from my order. Resulting yet again in disappointed children who had to share one meal instead of having their own individual meal and me being out of pocket again. I want to make a formal complaint and request a refund (I have the receipts). These meals are not cheap and are a family treat, which we look forward to and are left very disappointed.

Not happy with the product

Hi, I have an issue which I recently occurred. I went to the Manchester tim Hortons and got a box of Boston creams and hot chocolate. It was the drive through service which I used. So when I got home and started to eat my Boston cream donut there was no cream or any fillings inside. It was empty. This was the same in the others I also purchased. I was very disappointed as I was looking towards to eating my donuts with the hot chocolate. I dont know if that batch was messed up or if this happens regularly. I often go to tim Hortons after work to treat myself and I havent had this issue before so to me this was a very massive let down. It wasnt just one dounut that I purchased it was a box so it was a waste of money and time and petrol. If someone can please email me back that would be a great help. Thank you

Bad food

Hello, How do I contact my local Tim Hortons when no phone number can be found anywhere. Ive just arrived home from your establishment on Riverside Retail Park Northampton, and my meal was a total disaster. Cold frys , soggy wet toastie, and Oreo drinks tasteless ,,, not receipt given, payed by card, no way of contacting place and cant be bothered to go back at this time of night. Hope I get a reply to this email before I take this issue much further. Mr V B Brailsford 0773410****

Ordered a vegetarian burger and got given a chicken burger

Original review Oct 21, 2022
My friend and I ordered the Meatless Siracha Burger as we are both strict vegetarians. When we got our food, we took a bite into the burger and realised that both of our burgers were real chicken. When we went back to the counter to complain, the worker did not even apologise and just took both our burgers and brought the meatless ones over to the table where he shoved them onto the table carelessly and in doing so knocked a sauce pot off the table and it spilt onto my jeans and he then proceeded to walk away without saying anything at all. We ate the new burgers and then went back up and said that although we appreciated the fact that they corrected our order, we were not happy that they had given us meat ones in the first place and asked to be compensated with a refund as we had both just broken our vegetarianism against our will. We were met with a hostile response in which we spoken to very disrespectfully and they refused to give us a refund for the issue they caused.
