Voluntary surrender

I had bought a vehicle and it was financed through chrysler financial times got hard so I did the most responsible thing I could think of and did a voluntary surrender on the vehicle chrysler financial sold it at auction and I owe the balance. I don't dispute that but what I am angery at is that I have been paying tiburon financial for five years and granted some times I could not make the full payment but i would notify them I would send something i owed 18000 on the loan after auction at the time it was sold we owed a little over 8,000 so we paid almost 10,000 in five years We got a letter in the mail and it said that the account was sold and that we owed 15,000 and some change. So I gave them 10,000 for nothing ? Also I have tried to get my payment history from them but they say that they don't keep that informai but how did they track my payment history ? I need it for employment I have called them numerous times all they say is that they will look into it

Harassing rude phone calls

I have received repeated calls asking for personal information info and to identify myself. I told John Sabian not to call on my cell phone and at work but the calls continue. This has been going on for severals weeks and now receiving calls from Tonya Sausberry. I refuse to share my personal information with them such social security, birth date and address. I looked up the phone number and found it belonged to Tiburon as these callers do not identify themselves but demand that you verify personal information. These rude solicators need to stop as it is harassment. Jean

Treated me fairly!

I had a good experience with Tiburon... so I wanted to look on line to see the press they were getting. I can only say they treated me very fairly in getting squared away on a bill i owed. I had to request a verification of what I owed and they were efficient in scheuling a call back and sent me the info i needed. This was an outstanding financial bill that had been out there for over a year. Our finances had improved from the past. They gave me some good solid advice and worked out all the details. Thanks

The caller would not identify his company or intent.

The caller would not tell me what he could "help" me with unless I would identify myself with social security number or other personal data. He would do nothing in the way of telling me what his company did or could help me with unless I identified myself as he would be breaking federal laws if he divulged my personal situation with verification. Very frustrating experience as we were at a informational standoff but he wouldn't back off or quit trying to tell me that he was only trying to help me. Even when I hinted at what he might be calling about he would not tell me the intent of his call.

Tiburon trying to collect from a corpse

Tiburon Collection Agency has been sending collection notices for several months to a woman that died over a year ago. The company for whom they are working was notified at the time of the woman's demise that she had no immediate survivors or estate, which was established by an attorney. And, per their request, a death certificate was made available to them, yet the attempts and harassment continues. A call to one of the company's supervisors stated the file would be closed and the collection attempts stopped...that was six months ago and yet collection notices keep arriving at the deceased's old address. The next step is to let the legal eagles take care of Tiburon.

Very Sincere

Tiburon was very sincere in wanting to help me settle my past due amount owed on my account. They let me know that they were here to help maintain good communication with my creditor and work toward getting my debt paid off. They just didnt make demands like the other collection companies calling me. My family was in a place of huge financial burden and Tiburon gave me hope that I could work out of the hole we found ourselves in. We have set up a plan to make regular payments to tiburon and I feel confident dealing with them as well. Thanks for being professional and sincere.

Scam collection agency

I received a collection notice on a shipment from the Acaiberrybreeze company. This shipment was over 12 months ago (3/12/09) and was paid for on my credit card before I even received it. Upon seeing the charges from the company on my credit card statement I called Acaiberrybreeze to cancel any further shipments. I received nothing else from them and have not heard from them since, yet I have received a collection notice from Tiburon Financial dated April 29, 2010 and giving me 30 days to respond. I did not receive the letter until May 10, 2010. I think this is a bogus collection effort. I do not know how they got my name and record unless they stole it somehow from the Acaiberrybreeze company who has my credit card on record. I think this must be a scam. Do not know who else to report this to since they have multiple state addresses on the billing notice.

They Helped Me out

Tiburon Financial called me on a debt that I owed. Out of all the collection companies calling me, I found that Tiburon was interested in helping me. I will pay them before anyone else. I dont know why all collection agencies cant operate like Tiburon. I spoke to 2 people at Tiburon, they were consistent in the facts they gave me and how nice they treated me. I realized I did owe the debt on my car loan, but I was struggling with how I will pay things off and get back in good standing financially. They did not make me feel like a bad person like most companies calling me.

I suspect identity theft

john sabian with tiburon financial called me as a possible relative to someone who is past due, same last name , no relation, john and Bob Thapa both ask for social security numbers before beginning the conversation... John hung up on me when I asked about company info. Obviously this is one shady company and will be investigated completely. I can't imagine they are a professional collections company the way they handle their service skills. I am not nor will I ever use any services by this company . They are based on Nebraska and so the complaint will also carry over to Nebraska's Consumer affairs and their credibility will be investigated by authorities in California as well. This is what happens when you even hint at identity theft.

The representative was so nasty and disrespectful

I know that my the rest of my money was due for my car. I attempted to settle my debt, even after it went to Tiburon Financial. After trying to settle other debts, I miscounted by bills which made me overdraft. When I tried to explain what happened, the rep just cut me off and went on hollering that I better find a way and I need to manage my money better, on and on. I felt majorly offended because I could have ducked them but I tried to be an adult. Something needs to be done about people like that.
