6 wait for rental car

I have been waiting all day to pick up rental car. You took my money now I have to but I havent got a

Billing

Could not get a hold of a live person. I called several numbers, they were all the same. Plus I was on hold for over an hour. Customer service sucked. I was told one thing by one person, then told something completely different by another. I was told my bill was going to be one price, but ended up being way more than I was told. They charged extra fees I knew nothing about. Overall experience with thrifty sucked. I will not be renting from them again.

Damage in rentes car

Broken wilndshield due to little stone from other car on interstate. On the phone for more then an hour. No solution. Promise to call me back never fullfilled. Left alone with my family and no help in any form. In line with first experience. Had to wait for more then one hour by picknick because car wasnt ready. Zero excuses . Positive: the lady from customers care was nice.( but no solution)

Horrible experience

I arrived at DCA to pick up my car rental. After waiting for 1.5 hrs, a line of probably 40 ppl and 2 very slow workers. I was told when I booked that $200 would be held on my card. Upon arrival to the worker I was told that because the pick up location was DCA that it was an additional $49. I did not have those additional funds on a CC but I did have it in my bank account and then was told O must have an airline ticket to get the car. Then I was told that it would be an hour wait for my viechle. I can not imagine this madness, especially since I needed to drive to Ohio that evening for work. On top of it they gave me an electric car which was AWFUL! It took me 12 hrs with charge if and I couldn’t find a station at 2am with my kids in the car. No one showed me anything about this car. I had to have a friend come to the airport to rent me another car. Now thrifty won’t refund me the original rental I never got. Overall worst experience and I will never use thrifty again.

Worst ever

Worst experience ever. After over 3 weeks they have yet to close out my account correctly. I was offered an upgrade for free and was charged. I need the detailed receipt to get reimbursed from the airline and thrity/hertz can't get it right. I dropped it off in another state and the receipt still says I dropped it off at pickup location. When I call I'm told it will be escalated and completed in 24-48 hours. Never happens. I have asked for higher management to speak to and am told they are not on shift and will call me. Never happens. Do not rent from Thrifty/Hertz. Pay the extra money and rent from another company because this company has no clue about customer service or getting things correct. Being charged daily for a car I returned, no notes on my file even though I call every couple of days. "Let's go! "Should be replaced with "Go Away, we have your money. "

Over charged

I was quoted a mid size car at $45.89 a day, ×'s 4 days = $183.56. They charged my card $936.64!!!. When i arrived they had one vehicle available, an electric one. The guy working said "you don't want that" and ran to get another one from the drop off ones. It was VERY dirty, stains on all the seats from wheeled luggage, food stains on driver seat, etc. I myself washed EVERYTHING, so much for their Covid protocol!!!. Then they charged me "Outside Washing" $400.00. How the *** does that even make sense???. Besides everything extra they charged, I would NEVER recommend this "Cheap" car rental .

I would never rent from thrifty again. We waited three hours at Salt Lake City airport after traveling from Connecticut. Worst service ever.

No car available when we arrived in Salt Lake City 12 oclock reservation paid impact prior to arrival just awful would never do thrifty again do not trust them. They have no cars when you arrive in Salt Lake City airport.

Waited 90 mins

After waiting in line for 90 mins for my car then to be told they had non available was horrendous...only 2 people working the desk...very rude and didn't care . when i asked what was then the point of "reserving ' a car 3 weeks early he had no answer. his resolve was we could wait for 2 more hours and they possibly may have one SFO Thrifty are the worst NEVER will rent from them ever again.do not even think about using them.

Lack of Staff and Cars

My reservations was made on May 17, 2023 and my confirmation number is K495234****. When we arrived to Thrifty/Dollar customer service line at 12:40 am after I flight was delayed, it was pure chaos, there were hundreds of people in line waiting on cars. After several minutes in line the manager informed us that they were short of staff and cars. He informed us at that time he was not sure if they were able to accommodate the masses of customers with reservations. After waiting and waiting my husband and I left. My husband returned the next morning, same issue, this time the staff while on standing at the counters with the masses of people waiting in line for cars they did not have. At this time Thrifty was waiting for the return of rental in order to accommodate the masses of reservations. This is poor business practice as well as customer service. This customer reserved to many cars and were not able to fulfill their obligation to customers. I NEVER was able to get a car and had to spend my vacation without a car because this company dropped the ball.

Atrasaron el vuelo llegó a las 8:00p.m.

Tenia un vuelo hoy llegando a tampa a las 4:59 am por Espíritu y cancelaron el vuelo me estan reubicando para llegar hoy a tampa a las 8:00 pm consulte dejar saber sobre lo sucedido Espero que pueda encontrar mi reserva al llegar allá, si necesita los documentos se los enviamos sobre la cancelación y reubicación de vuelo.

Follow up on how I was treated…

I recently put a compliant on the customer rep. That was helping me originally. She was the worst I ever had. Been involved in sales for 35 years. I don't know her name cause 1, she didn't have a badge on and 2, she did not want to give me her name. Thanks to Sergio, the Manager, he was able to help me with my issue. I would like a call or email from who ever I can discuss this with. No customer should ever be treated the way I was, unacceptable.

I think we were treated wrong

Yesterday I picked up a car at West Palm Beach airport and waited an hour and a half in line and then once I got up to the line I had to wait over two hours to get a car and then when I got the car it was filthy the intake what's dirty there was stuf

Can’t speak to a live person in customer service. 3 of 4 tires are not in good shape.

DO NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE

From the moment that we arrived to the agency counter area, it was one disaster after another. First of all, the line to get the rental was over an hour long, there was easily over 50 people in line waiting and only 3 agents working the counter. After almost 2 hours, I finally got my rental, the agent directed me where to go to pick up my rental. Once I got to that area, the disaster continued. There was absolutely no organization. There was a angry and frustrated crowd of people also waiting to get their rental. Apparently, Thrifty does not have any vehicles at MCO and I was told that it was a first come, first serve basis and that as cars started arriving they would issue them out. I was told that this process could take anywhere from 2 hours to even an entire day. By this point, it was almost 2 am. For the next hour and a half, I had to deal with a huge crowd of other angry customers that were complaining on top of each other. Needless to say, it was an absolute nightmare. By the time the car rentals finally started coming in, they were basically handing them out left and right like hot potatoes. I did not get the rental that I asked for, I was being given an electric car, which I am not familiar with and was not about to start experimenting with at 4 am. The Thrifty employee basically told me to take it or leave it. Luckily, a few minutes later, a regular vehicle came rolling in and I immediately took it. This has been the worst experience that I ever had with a rental car agency. Needless to say, I will be reporting the company's extremely poor and unprofessional practices at this location to the BBB. No one should ever have to go through this type of ordeal, especially not when on vacation.

Flat tire

The company is telling me I need to buy the new tire for a car that was totally worn out. This was written by the tire repair man tire deemed unsafe to drive on or patch by lex Brody cona need to replace thrifty car rental Tia. From roadside assistance gave me permission to replace tire if renter paid the bill

They say I have not returned my car.

Rented a car from Thrifty Rental Car at the Raleigh-Durham International Airport (1009 Rental Car Dr. Morrisville, NC 27560). Had the car less than 24 hrs and returned the car to the same airport. I returned the car at the Hertz/Dollar/Thrifty rental car lot ay the direction of the rental employee's direction, leaving the key in the car. I get a call four days later saying I needed to return the car. I am now in a process of trying to prove I returned a car with very little way of doing that. Following directions of the staff in the return area is obviously my issue here. Get as much confirmation as you can that you returned the car or you may end up like me. Will never use this rental car service again. My fault for not reading reviews prior to renting.
