Sales team gossiping to non-employee campers

Sales people gossiping at campsite in Williamsburg camp that revealed confidential business information which was stated that occurred between Office and 3rd party campers not present during gossiping session. Gossip was likely inaccurate, at best, given the written handout information that delineates camp action actions for conduct gossiped. Gossip assigned blame to 4th party campers for causing the reported actions by Office in reaction to 3rd party stated behavior. 5th party campers became enraged based solely on the gossip. 6th party campers disbelieved the accuracy of the gossip as it was presented, referred to own observations of managerial and staff style of managing and interacting with camping guests that created serious doubt about validity of the gossip. Lack of professional and personal integrity, lack of respect for maintaining confidentiality of non-public information gained as sales employees about camp guests is not in doubt.

Health issue emergency

The solid waste sewer ejector pumps are not installed correctly. The 7 foot crack is not deep enough. It is leaking sewer, gas at ground level, which is very very dangerous one as opposed to an explosion hazard and a biological hazard The units are leaking, methane methane, Shai, Sofi, methane dioxide, sulfur dioxide, every kind of sewer gas there is and they are not supposed to. They are sealed systems and they are not installed correctly.

BUYER BEWARE

I was planning on taking camper to Forest Lake and spoke to a lady up there. was told its 4100 for the year and she gave me some sites that were open, but the lady that would have to process and get all taken care of was on the phone. I left message, called back the next day and the inital person told me I would have to sign up for the membership before anything could be started. So I went on the site right then, Left another message for the lady since they said she was at lunch. Again no return call, waited 2 days and called again and she was off that day, called the next day and they said she was with someone. Left yet another message and told her I already paid for the membership so I needed to get this resolved that week and get the camper up there. Fast forward 10 more calls and no return call, she was never available to speak to me, never would call me back. Contacted customer support and they dont give a crap, they told me Im locked into a 2 year contract and I am not getting out of it. I told them that was unacceptble since Thousand trail breached, not me. I gave them almost 3 weeks to call me back before I had to go another route with my camper. They dont care care cause they already got me locked in. I would never go to another campground by these people. I mean want to charge me over 4000 for the year and membership too without any kind of customer support. I have contacted an attorney and will be filing every complaint I can find to let people know BEWARE, its abot the money for them not building relationships!!!

Package fees instituted are discriminatory

Incoming essential repair parts or camping supplies for individual use (not RV techs ordering for profit) are now $5-10 each package. Most cannot be picked up at stores.Yet many EBay, etc. vendors living permanently, annually or as full time traveling are running businesses from their sites and have $0 fees for mailing dozens of commercial packages per month to their customers.

Needs better management

The park closes the pool and clubhouse at 5:30pm Sunday through Thursday, this is ridiculous. We have been Thousand Trails members since about 2001 in the past 5 years this park has shown that it does not care one bit about the members that made this park!

Bordering on fraud

We bought a a camping membership for one year and paid for it on our credit card. Thirty days (per the contract) we sent in notice to cancel our membership when the year was over. Instead of cancelling our membership they began to bill us monthly for a new year. Each month for three months we disputed these charges and each time our credit card credited our account. Now, we have been receiving calls claiming that our payment is late. Do not do business with Thousand Trails, their business practices border on fraud.

I do NOT have the money for the dues!!!! My step daughter did a 180 on me!!!!!!

I do NOT have the money for the dues!!!! My step daughter did a 180 on me after John Clayton Conn died on 4-26-21! :( She deceptively moved ALL the money EVEN though she was NOT on the bank account or ANY documents of John's. Send her the bill since she has ALL the money & I, as a widow of Texas, got NOTHING!!!! I talked to a lawyer who can't do anything as Laurami Conn Kirby already MOVED the money! I have written & written & written you!!!! This is the LAST time that I will be writing! I can't even get into the account as it is DISABLED!!!! Media Inquiries, PLEASE send this to Thousand Trails as I can't get through to it. Laurami Conn Kirby's address is: 707 S. Owensville Street Franklin, TX 77856-**** I do NOT even have the RV as it was sold. Do NOT tell Laurami of our "conversation" as she has already lied to what she agreed to do in the hospital WHEN her dad was STILL ALIVE!!! I have ALREADY SUFFERED ENOUGH because of his death (The death certificate said that it was because of his smoking! He smoked 43 years!!!!!) and HER EVIL DEEDS!!! Do NOT tell Laurami about this "conversation"!!!!!!!!!!!! She is evil!!!!!

Unable to book any get aways

The customer service at this company is one of the worst I've ever encountered at all levels: Two weeks ago, my PIN was changed for no reason. It took them a week and many calls, chats and emails to get someone to reset my PIN. Once that issue was solved, I was able to log in, but still couldn't make any reservations. I called customer service and no matter what time of the day I called if I press the reservations key, it'd tell me that they were too busy to talk to me, but if I pressed the key to make a payment, I'd get an agent ASAP, but after explaining my dilemma, whoever answered would say "I'm sorry, i cannot help you" and then transfer me back to the recorder. Finally, after sending several emails to customer service, they'd said that the campground I was choosing was not part of my membership, even though I've been there before as part of their plan and after sending them copies of what their system was telling me. Finally, someone agreed with what I was saying but asked me to go back and call their C.S. 800 number knowing that I had told them before that those people in there are totally useless. So here I'm two weeks later still trying to book a getaway at any of their RV campgrounds. Oh, BTW, unless you buy their most expensive packages, don't think for moment that they'll give you access to the nice campgrounds. They'll only allow you to go to their *** places, like for example, Soledad Canyon in Acton, CA or Las Vegas (which, BTW, it's the only one you're going to get there). You get the *** 3 ones in AZ and in CO and some good one in northern CA, but if you live in SOCAL like me, you're going to have 5 or 6 hours of driving before getting there.

Positive experience

I discovered thousand trails rv resort on accident. The staff, Mark & Paula, were very helpful and professional. The resort is clean. The members are friendly. I highly recommend thousand trails.

Poorly Ran Facility

Ponderosa RV Resort, Lotus CA. I have been coming to this particular resort for the past 15 years. When we started our membership we had a 14 day membership with 7 days out of system, about 10 years ago we upgraded to what at the time was the presidential 21 days in and 7 days out of the resort you just left. In the past 3-5 years it seems to myself and other members I have spoken to that the members are getting treated progressively worse over this time period. We actually paid to become annual members only to see the annual members getting treated with zero respect and management at Ponderosa doing their utmost to run off good people, there was another couple who had been long term annual members and this past year were told they would not be renewed due to the fact that they had to many potted plants around their site, not sure why this was since their site was by far the best looking annual site in entire campground. Also the new district manager would not make any effort to work with them. Ponderosa is famous for enforcing certain rules and not enforcing others. 1. There is a bathroom up in A section that is not ADA compliant, the toilet area and the shower area have zero heat, it is not healthy for people in their senior years to use a toilet in 30-40 degree weather. 2. They just recently raised the cost of the honey wagon from $25 to $40, I realize that other reserves have charged around $30 but to raise your fees over 62% all at once is not taking into consideration that there are those of us on a fixed income. 3. Tent campers are allowed to take hook up sites, I am currently in the full hook up sites with sewer and we just had a family in a tent camper come in with no bathroom in it and take a full hook up spot. As I went through the part recently there were about a 1/2 dozen campers in water and electric sites with just tents and no one was in the tent site area. 4. On numerous occasions there have been other campers with dogs off leash and it seems like I am the only one picking up after my dog clears his bowels. Not sure what if anything can be done but the person who has been in charge here for a while seems to be in over his head.

Can't contact anyone in charge of chehalis Rv and camping resort.

Original review Oct 14, 2021
I had a reservation at the Chehalis Rv and camping resort in Chehalis Wa.. my stay was for 7 days. 10/7/2021 -10/14/2021. On 10/12/2021 I had left the campground for work. I came back the next day 10/13/2021. While I was gone at work. The staff there at the campground took it apon themselves to throw away all my belongings. My tents, all my clothes, food all my camping gear ,everything I owned. When I asked what happend to all my stuff, my reservation wasn't up yet. I still had one more day. I was told they threw it all away because they didn't know who I was or if I was coming back. But they DID know who I was . And they never so much as even gave me a phone call or email or anything. When you go into this campsite you have to report where you are gonna be camping. Which I did that. I talked to everyone of those staff members everyday so they knew who I was very well. Everything I owed was in that campsite. I lost our home recently, so camping was all I had for shelter until I can find another home. And this resort just took what little I had left and tossed it without even trying to contact me. I am devastated. All that money I spent on camping gear and getting what I needed to survive is gone. The staff there wouldn't even listen to me when I tried talking to them about this. They just kept disappearing. I am not only filing a complaint, I just talked with am attorney regarding this. This isn't right. I should at least be reinburst for my stuff they damaged and threw away. But nothing. They are the most heartless human beings I ever saw in my life. I have video and pictures of some of our things in the garbage there that we found.. I lost my dad a few years ago, and everything I had left of him I carried with me , but even thats all gone now. When I asked the staff if they could get the stuff we seen in the garbage there that they threw away, we were told they couldn't touch our stuff but offered to get a ladder to get into the dumpster and retrieve what we could. The dumpsters they threw our stuff in was the one they use for the dumping station disposing waist. Why should I have to climb through that unsanitary dumpster to get back my belongings. When it shouldn't of been there n the first place

Never will we go to a thousand trials RV campground again

Terrible from the beginning. Our reservation at the Blackhawk Camping Resort was made one month before our scheduled arrival. When we arrived our site was occupied. The campground manager that happens and to go to site 41. Site 41 was in a mud hole and close to the busy 4-wheeler road. Other sites 34-36 were vacant during our two day stay there. We were to told that they all were reserved and we had to take site 41. Most of the 4 wheelers were operated by kids just riding up and down the road. The toilets were terrible, not clean and disgusting. At the dump station there were 4 or 5 dumpsters that were overfilled with trash all around them. The smell was bad- really bad and we decided to not use the dump station. I attempted to call the campground this AM. No one answered and my call was routed to Thousand trails, that machine said they were not taking calls and to use the internet...so that is what i am doing!
