Poor Service - Lack of Customer Service.. just lack of everything.

I wanted to purchase this service as a gift for my step-daughter. Not only was the company willing to take me money but they mislead me to believe that they were in contact with my step-daughter. When I attempted to contact the woman, Zoie, whom I originally spoke with who said they can accommodate to my request as this is a gift, no one knew anything. They said, and i quote "they needed to research the bank account to make sure "monies" have been received because they cant just take my word for it" Way to add insult to injury. Like there wasnt even a record of me or my daughter anywhere. How can you take my credit card numbers over the phone and immediately charge me almost $500 but intentionally forget us as a client. Shameful and i regret ever calling them. I had to dispute the charge with my credit card company as they never got back to me, or answered any of my emails or messages. I hope this Zoie woman is no longer employed there as she is a horrible representation of a decent human being.

Terrible attitudes - SO RUDE AND INAPPROPRIATE!

It took 6 tries to actually talk to someone. When someone finally answered, it was terrible obvious that they were so inconvenienced to have to answer my call. Her name was Zoey and i have never in my entire life experienced such rudeness and unprofessionalism. I asked questions that any normal person would to help make an informed decision to hire this company with writing my federal resume. I could tell she was frustrated because i could hear her banging on her desk after each question that i asked. I became more and more discouraged speaking to her as the tone in her voice became more and more agitated. I asked to speak with Kathryn and i was prompted to PAY $200 just to ask her a question. Zoey immediately explained that Kathryn "is an expert and you have to pay money just to get on her schedule to ask a question. We dont have the time to answer your laundry list of questions for free." I accepted the defeat by the moody and rude employee whom then stated that she was the accountant and she no longer has to time to be on the phone with me. Then IT happened... I couldn't believe it... she hung up on me.. and by hung up, i mean SLAMMED the phone down to the point that the LOUD noise on my end made me cringe. I cant believe such terrible service exists in a company that is here to HELP vets and the military. Maybe if she knew that i was a high ranking Naval officer that was referred by the US NAVY FFSC which whom Kathryn "trained" I would have been treated better. We never got to that point unfortunately. I spent my entire 25 year adult career in the US Navy and was referred by the Fleet & Family Support Center at my base (which i choose not to identify because of the fear of backlash from The Resume Place). I knew I needed help and this company came highly recommended. Its beyond me why someone so rude and unprofessional was the only person i could get through to. When this incident happened, I told the FFSC of my experience and they promptly stated that they did not know of their new policy of having to submit payment in-advance just to speak with Kathryn or get answer to my questions or receiving any information to help me make an informed decision. They offered to contact Kathryn directly but after 2 full weeks of the FFSC attempting with no result, we literally GAVE UP ON THE RESUME PLACE and proceeded to contact another company for help. I was treated with the up-most respect at Career Pro Plus and was promptly given A+ customer service and ZERO ATTITUDE - WITHOUT mentioning my bad experience with The Resume Place. I just wanted to see if this was an industry thing for bad customer service but no.. its just The Resume Place that charges TOP dollar with the expectation that you deal with their bad attitudes and horrible customer service and lack of information. I tried to spend my money at The Resume Place, but i guess they didnt want it for whatever reason. Bad attitudes are bad for business.

DO NOT BUY THE SERVICE, DO NOT WORK THERE

I worked at RP, and it was a disaster. I accepted a job with Kathryn based on the idea that I would be helping veterans with federal employment. I thought this would provide a decent purpose in my work, and gladly declined other offers that were for about $20k more a year salary (not wise). Things started to show, shortly after my initial employment date when I was demoted and told that writers would write my resume for a federal job. "Okay...." I figured. At this point I'm feeling very uneasy about my employment, but have no other options. So the show must go on. She had convinced her self that I was a program analyst, and that I love "doing studies." This idea was based on a bullet in my resume that describes my work with Excel. Thereafter, she tasked me with strange and useless work. Nothing was easy because her entire company structure is based solely on half-crack bouts of sputtering nonsense. Back to the resume and RP's services. The first resume I received was a pieced of grammatical garbage (an estimated $250- value) and headlined "Motivated, detail oriented...." This has always been a big 'no-no' for me, and I was pissed to see it coming from a professional resume writing company. The claim of RP is that they are the experts in writing the federal resume. This is only because Kathryn started writing resumes 40 years ago and has just stuck to it. My second resume was remarkably better, but the IT writer was convinced that UNIX and OS X are two totally difference things. She also did not understand what an automation script was, and I had to reword plenty of details in my resume in fear of not being taken seriously due to technical ignorance. Don't be a fool and pay for this service. It's pointless. And if you look at the contrast of her success rate, and the Office of Personnel Management accession numbers, you will quickly realizes that RP attributes very little to federal employment at large. If you want a service such as this, find a cheap out of print version of her book and do the work yourself. You'll be more satisfied having saved about a thousand dollars. Or Google, and you'll do fine. Not only are the services poor and self-serving, but there is zero leadership within the company. Kathryn has never held a real job. She has never worked for anyone, and that shows. The only employee that has stuck there over the years often broke down in TEARS about how bad it was to work there for Kathryn. She barks at you, does not ask. She does not respect your ideas or input, and only values her own thought process, albeit haphazardly. Every business process within the company is desperately broken and inefficient. Kathryn insists on duplicating workflows that are unnecessary to begin with. As the years passed, employees slowly had metaphysical break-downs and would walk out. Each of their responsibilities fell on the young lady just trying to support her family, without a raise or recognition. Instead, Kathryn enjoys berating and belittling her employees with such vernacular as "I didn't know there were so many ways to mess this up," and "are you ***? Why are you doing these mindless tasks?" She also doesn't like black people, and often mentioned disposing of the young AA male college student because he "doesn't do anything, anyway." What makes this even more sick is that she makes an incredible amount of money ripping off the government and Americans just wishing for federal employment. She charges the government $1700.00 to $2700.00 per person for speaking engagements--GSA gains at its finest. But there is not enough money to give her hardest working employee a $1.00/hour raise. She thinks that she "is the business" and this attitude shows by way of her disrespecting the employees. They are all disposable and worthless in her eyes. Her idea of fixing her business is to retire. Again, DO NOT PAY THIS COMPANY ANYTHING. The Resume Place is only in the business of receiving money and they do not care about the quality of the product the produce. They do not guarantee anything. But I do. If you choose to engage with RP, I guarantee you will first pay $190/hr for consulting and then a much larger sum of money on each job announcement you wish to apply for. You might get a federal job. You might not. Just use your good sense.

Delivery Service Review from Frederick County, Virginia

I recently placed an order for some books from this company and they took my money, but failed to send me my books! Thieves!!!! Additionally, I had requested services from them in the past and again, they failed to respond. In that case, I may have been saved since their failure to respond resulted in me not waisting my money on their services. Either way, they still owe me the books that I purchased or a full refund for the money they gladly took, but did not earn! I would highly recommend that this company be avoided at all costs, they clearly do not care about providing above board services or products to the customers that support them. Their BBB rating is complete BS! They should have an F for their BBB rating.

They screwed up my federal application BIG TIME

Terrible experience with these people. I hired them to do an Administrative Law Judge application and resume, paying them well over $2000. Though I have been a social security disability attorney for over 20 years, their "expert" Nicole Schultheis failed to properly articulate and word my social security disability experience in the application, causing the government to reject my application by contending that I had failed to prove that I have over 7 years of social security disability experience! The resume she drafted was shoddy, and she lifted whole paragraphs from my website to the resume rather than professionally drafting it. When I approached Ms. Schultheis and Ms. Troutman about their incompetence, they refused to offer me any refund or accommodation. Though I did EXACTLY what Ms. Schultheis directed me to do in the application, she tried to blame me for the rejection of my application, saying that I must have made some changes or otherwise screwed the application up. Stay far, far away from these people... • • •

AWFUL EXPERIENCE

I am already a federal employee but wanted to polish my resume. I submitted a resume to this service that I had completed. I spent almost $700 up front and the draft sent back to me was exactly what I sent to them initially except they included more specific dates. I could go on but, as an intelligent woman, I must write this was one of the dumbest choices I have made in a long time. They came recommended and I, in turn, would have recommended them to several colleagues because we are all looking for better jobs. I would not recommend this service. If you want a professional resume that will be almost identical to the one this service produces, simply go online to USA jobs and complete their resume online. I am relatively sure this is precisely what this vendor is using while pocketing your hard earned monies. You've been warned now so you are in a much better position than I was before I made the purchase. My advice to anyone else out there is NOT to utilize this service. It will not aid you in your search for federal employment. That much I can promise.

Www.resume-place.com RIP OFF› Federal Resume Services

Like all of you I was ripped off. SCAM, DO NOT USE THEM, they are not qualified to write effective federal resumes. I've applied to countless jobs with federal resumes they've developed, NO interviews. These people troll the internet looking for negative ads and say, wow, must be fate that I happened upon your question. Yeah right! Their IT people are more qualified than their resume writers! The Resume Place does not promise anything from using their services. Read the fine print! DON'T sign their contract, its one sided and favors only them and you cannot complain or get your money back.

The Resume Place.com Federal Resume Services?RIP OFF

Do not use The Resume Place. This business does not do not do what it advertises and it provides shoddy resume writing services. The writers are not experts! This is your money so spend it wisely. I recommend that you find another resume writing service. This company is a total ***, DO NOT waste your money. They just copy and paste your resume without contacting you for any suggestions or advice. The resume will be ready within hours after he charges you credit card. Don't even think about hiring these people. They never performed any services for me. Two weeks ago I asked for a refund. Was told OK, no problem. Two weeks later, do I have my money? Noooo. You signed a contract with us and they threw it back in my face. What a bunch of crooks.

Resume-place.com@***d consumer services federal-resume-format

Crooks! I did not get what I paid for!. It was just awful working with my "expert" consultant! Like a power struggle with her. Basically they provided me with an abbreviated version of my own resume and sub par ECQs (actually my own draft ECQs reformatted) I should have went with another company but they claimed to have written the book on federal resumes/. What a freakin waste of money! Obvious my original resume wasn't bad. If my resume was reviewed by someone at The Resume Place and nothing was wrong with it then I would expect someone to say "hey there is nothing we can do for you!."

The Resume Place claims to be federal resume experts, NOT!

The Resume Place.com claims to be the creator of the federal resume (guidebooks (LOL)and all) but is really a big **** rip off!! Way to go resume place!
