Stay away from this company!!!
We were scheduled to have The Maids to come out today. We received a call yesterday that were coming out between 8:30-9:30am. 9:30 came and went, and my husband called to not come since they were late, and I had to go to work. The manager told my husband we would have to pay a cancellation fee. My husband told the manager that the crew did not show up at the correct time. The manager started yelling at him and she hung up on him. If anyone knows the owner of The Maids in Huntingdon Valley Pa, please let us know. Thanks!

How to decide on the right cleaning service?
Just read the maids was the favorite of the readers choice in the Sunday paper. I was ready to call them tomorrow (monday) and after reading all the negative reviews im wondering how they can possible be the winners of readers choice? Very confusing! Guess I will continue to look around for a more reliable service.

Worst cleaning experience EVER!!
Hired this firm based on their "positive" reviews. I should have known something was amiss as they didn't contact me to confirm the appointment and it took 6 calls and 4 messages left to finally get Brittany from the Peachtree City, GA office to call me back. She provided her "direct line" should I have any issues, etc. etc. The cleaning team did come on time...I walked them through my home (which is fairly large at 3600 sq ft because of a small basement apartment). I explained that I wanted basics done: wipe baseboards, clearn ceiling fans and window sills, sweep the floor (told them no vacuuming of carpets was necessary --- so they only had to do the two bathroom floors upstaids, the rest is carpet and only the kitchen and family room are hardwood floors to sweep. At the 2.5 hr mark, I check in on the team and was told that the upstairs rooms were completely finished (bathrooms, bedrooms, etc.) and they just needed to finish the kitchen. At first they said they would need another 1.5 hours (for a total of 4 hrs)....mind you, I was quoted 2.5-3hrs max and an up to price of $405 (which is super high but again, they had such "glowing" reviews). If I allowed it to go to 4 hours we were looking at $540....WTF???!!! The last time I had the home cleaned (and this included vacuuming) cost $360 and they did a solid job...but I couldn't find their number and couldn't remember who we used so I could hire them again....so went with The Maids. In any event, (and I have multiple pictures to prove this), they did awful work. Near as I can tell, they did a half *** job on the toilets and bathtubs but didn't even touch the bathroom floors (hair, dirt, debris all over), cleaned the ovens actually well....but did the fridge and not touch the freezer...left the wood floors unswept, didn't even enter the downstairs bathrooms....total mess (toilets, sinks, floors). I have posted on our city's site as a warning to all not to use them...and I intend to contact the Better Business Bureau as well and write a letter to corporate (but they are a Franchise so it will likely go nowhere). I have alerted my bank that should a charge come from The Maids, that it is fraudulent and needs to be disputed....so far so good, no charge....BUT....their *** work really left me in a bind as I have to hand over the property tomorrow!! Guess me and my wife will be the cleaning service tonight that I thought I hired.

Difficulty communicating and getting call backs!
I had the Maids clean my house a little over 2 weeks ago. The cleaning was acceptaBLE, BUT I had requested a price for every two weeks & for every four weeks. The day of the cleaning, I was told I would be called the next day with those prices. I NEVER got that call. I have called them about 4-5 times since, always saying, for ease of communicating, an E mail can be sent with that info. STILL no response! It all hinges on one person giving a figure. Two weeks have passed so I obviously will not be using them every other week. They don't appear to want my business. I gave an excellent survey after the cleaning and I would like to take it BACK!

No organization and dishonest
They booked me an appointment then called two days before and said they couldn’t do that day and they also gave me a false price and tried to charge me more after they already promised me a specific amount. They were suppose to call me back and never did so they won’t be getting a dime from me. Don’t ever trust this company in your home.

Awful.
Needed someone to come deep clean my house, so I hired the Maids and was left completely disappointed. First of all they SCRATCHED my hardwood floors moving my dining table, so there are four huge scratches now. A shelf in the guest room wasn't dusted, my coffee table wasn't either, couch wasn't vacuumed at all, and the floors weren't mopped thoroughly. My house is tiny (2bed/1bath) and it came out to $344 for an hour and a half of work! Double the amount I was quoted!. I know the base boards were covered in dust and cat hair, and I also understand that my house needed a serious dusting, but I hired an established cleaning service because my house was in need of a serious cleaning. Absolutely ridiculous.

Never Again
The Maids was a very good service 10 years ago but the decline in the past year makes "The Maids" in Denver (Our home is actually in Centennial) a service that we will never again use. We hired The Maids for their service on a by-weekly basis for the past 11 years today was the last straw as their lack of reliability combined with their habit of breaking things and hiding the damage is totally unacceptable. A somewhat less important issue is that using Maids that can understand English so simple instructions can be communicated would be a nice Improvement. Dale from The Maids is Rude & does not understand simple requests. This is over 100 words, This is over 100 words

Damage to home, billed for work not done
March 2017, the Maids were scheduled to come to my house to clean for a surprise party. They called and rescheduled to the day after the party. The Maids arrived and stayed approximately 4 hours. I was billed twice the quote was for. Upon arriving home to view the work. Food was found on the floors, rooms not vacuumed. Dirty table tops and damage to floor in master bathroom. Also paint was removed for one section of wall in same bathroom. Called and complained to manager. He came out to the house 4 days later. Applaud at what his workers did, he asked to come back out to the house the following week. He would not take ownership of the damage stating that he staff would not do what caused the damage. He also stated that he would walk away if we forgot about the damage. The Maids did not pay for or repair the damage and did bill for work not performed. STATING WORK GUARANTEE or the will do the Job again.

The Maids - Cleaning Service Review
I had called the maids and i wanted them to come out and look at the house. The girl said no we don't need to come out. I insisted but she ask how many square feet and want i want. The price $317.00 and the highest $397.00. The crew comes and start cleaning then the crew supervisor calls back to the office and put me on the phone. Now price is higher. I ask if they clean the windows. Only inside they said but now the price is $661.00. When they finished the price $864.00. We negotiated to $ 750.00. The first crew missed alot in cleaning and they broke a items. I called to complain first they own me some money back and the things they missed. Another field manager comes out with a crew clean the missed areas. She said the check will be mailed. She said that the items will be fixed. Update no refund check and the items not fixed. This is a ***.

we had dry wall work done in basement, told them the problem. The maids came, knocked pictures off the wall, knocked another item off wall in bathroom, they did not dust doors, which they were asked to do, had a rolled rug next to wall by front door, they did not remove nor vacuum. Did not go under furniture on wood floor not kitchen. In other words they were from 1 to 10 a 3. Do not hire the maids. Lucile Campion, I definitely would not recommend the maids. It could also be the crew. They clean like a lick and a promise. No good

Ruined all faucets and shower disks-refused to accept liability!!
I contacted the Maids to come clean my brand new home after moving in. They arrived as scheduled and cleaned two stories in just under two hours. The house looked good but a few hours after they left all the faucets upstairs along with the shower disks looked tarnished. I called the company they came back out to take photos and the cleaner was apologetic. I was upset because we had just moved in and now I have to deal with filling a claim with the Maids and getting these all replaced. Well then I started talking with Fred and Susan and they were refusing to take ownership of the problem. Stating multiple time that their product was natural and there was noway this was result of their cleaning service. Fred went on to accuse me of spraying a corrosive substance and that is what caused the faucets/disks to be ruined. This is the illogical thinking of a poor business man. My house was perfect, the Maids cleaned, then all faucets/shower disks ruined. Very much cause and effect for any normal thinking human being. I also wanted to state that I contacted both pulte homes and moen and the response was that either a harsh cleaning product was used or that a cleaning product (any) was not rinsed off properly or in a timely fashion. Fred and Susan was the defensive from the very beginning-not a great way to operate. I also find it amusing that they guarantee 100% satisfaction on the website.
