This is a FRAUD.

Original review Aug 04, 2023
They bombarded me with letters and phone calls before I spoke with Erika Gilbert, who after running some, I believe, phony analysis of my computer said she found 18 misuses of my email address and then wanted to charge $4400 to clean up and protect all my electronics for life, payable to One Click Geeks. I believe this "IT" company is the same as One Click Geeks as both receive minimum recommendations with similar complaints. One Click Geeks is the "company" to which One Tek Solutions wants you to pay for their services.

Fraudulent

While visiting my mother, she started getting phone calls from Tek Help Solutions or One Click Geeks or Squad geeks or Geek Squad. They called about 12 times that day, my mom finally answered, and they told her that her computer and her were under investigation for child *** and that the $3,900 for LIFETIME subscription wouldn't cover it. They wanted more money to get her out of investigation. This was BS, and luckily I was here to see what was going on. Still trying to get fully reimbursed. Stay away from them!

I believe I was scammed by an agent of Tek Help Solutions

Updated by user Apr 15, 2023
I replied that Tek Help Solutions has not contacted me, but that is only partly true. I have asked them on many occassions to contact me via email, because I have hearing issues and they have a heavy accent which is difficult to understand. I did receive a call today...

This is an email I sent to Tek Help Solutions that explains my issues: On March 9th, 2023, I was having issues with my NetGear Nighthawk router. I called what I thought was NetGear support and spoke with a technician who identified himself as an employee of NetGear. Getting my router and NetGear extender back online was a bit more complicated than anticipated, and the technician asked to connect to my computer, via ultra viewer, and run a deep scan. I had no reason to doubt his identity, as I call what I thought was a NetGear number I obtained from the internet. He identified numerous issues and recommended a lifetime support that included a firewall and other security features. It was also a one-time fee. He transferred me to a different technician, who actually completed the process. Yesterday, I had a question concerning the firewall, and I contacted NetGear support. They had no clue about my issue, the services I received, the identity of the support person, nor how I was transferred to your company. I am not complaining about the package I received, as it may provide some security I did not have before. But I am curious how this process transpired. Who is the agent that transferred me to the technician that completed the process, and does he in fact work for NetGear? I am also not accusing your company of any wrongdoing, however, I think you would be interested in knowing if a rogue agent with NetGear was directing business to someone within your organization, with the impression this was an approved NetGear service. I am told that I have a network firewall that provides superior protection to my network and all of the devices connected to it. Yet, unlike a normal software security program, such as McAfee, I have no apparent way to confirm the existence of this firewall, nor to learn how effective it is in protecting my network. Also, please do not respond to this message with a phone call. I am an older gentleman and I have hearing issues which made it difficult to understand the person who called me this morning. You may contact me via my email at l****.com. Finally, can you provide me with a phone number to your support department. Communicating by email can take time and I was told Id have 24/7 access to your support line.

It could just be a coincidence, but ever since I purchased this product & allowed it to be installed on my PC, I've had to replace the credit card I used FIVE times as of yesterday!!!

They also called a couple of times telling me I had a problem and wanted access to my PC. Since I didn't see a problem I didn't allow their access and wished I had not allowed myself to get caught up with them. I'm sorry to say I got taken for $720!!!

They keep calling saying I have a problem, but I don't and don't trust them.

I had trouble setting up Alexa and they got that fixed and sold me a service plan. Now they call every month or so to say I have a problem with my email and they need to get on my computer to check it out. But I am not aware of any problems and it just seems like a scam. I don't trust them. I said don't call me, I'll call you.

Almost taken for the 3rd time.

This company came on when I had trouble with Alexa...from their they proceeded to sell me coverage dec/21 with 5 yr support on many protectors...$966. In May/22...they called saying my computer was in serous trouble and what I had purchased previously didn't cover it. So I paid another 1700...and they assured me all aspects of network security was covered..on and on. Now I get a call saying my email is in jeopardy..and banking..etc..They of course in a hurried manner show you what has been hacked...of coursr I am not a IT person. When I said I had paid them for 5 yesr coverage for all network security...they said..these particular viruses were not covered. THIS TIME $3000...but the light bulb went off...I called Visa immediately to stop the transfer... I told the woman I cannot afford it...and she told me her job would be in jeopardy if I didn't go through with the transaction...she also tried to add on Microsoft security... As far as I am concerned...THE JIG IS UP...NO MORE MONEY FROM ME..

Scam artists

I had a three year contract with Tek Help which I paid up front 363.00. They called me in six months and told me my computer was compromised and it can no longer protect my computer. However if I sent them another 400 dollars they could correct the problem and I would not longer have to worry about my computer being compromised. This was the same line I received when I purchased the three year contract with them I was told then I would never had to worry or need to do anything with my computer because it was protected with state of the art protection. Boy was I wrong. They scammed me once but never a second time. Buyer beware they are great talkers.
