I'm unhappy

I ordered items for a birthday gift for my nephew. The only way I knew the one item was missing is that my sister sent a thank you message with a photograph of the gifts. So if she did not, how would I know? Warehouse did not pack it in. It was not 2cents. it's paid for. What does this equate to logically?

Incorrect and Second hand product with scratches received

Dear Taekalot team I am writing to bring to your attention an unfortunate experience with an order I recently received. On [date], I purchased a Xiaomi Mi Box S 4k Ultra HD streaming media player/TV Box from Takealot for the amount of R1595.00. This particular model was the top-of-the-range in its specifications, as advertised on your website. However, upon receiving the delivery yesterday, I noticed several concerning issues. Firstly, the original packaging of the unit was not sealed, and a fragile sticker partially covered the box, indicating that it had already been opened or tampered with. Upon further inspection, it became evident that the unit inside the box was not the correct specification I had originally ordered, and to my dismay, the cost of this specific box on your website was significantly lower than what I had paid. Furthermore, the unit itself displayed visible scratches, making it evident that the product was not in the new condition as expected, but rather a second-hand item with an inferior specification. I am deeply disappointed with this experience, as it reflects an unacceptable level of ethical conduct and honesty in the deal. Consequently, I kindly request a FULL REFUND to be processed back into my account immediately. I believe this is the appropriate course of action to address the inconvenience and dissatisfaction caused by the improper handling of my order. Additionally, I respectfully request a call back from a MANAGER at your earliest convenience to discuss this matter further. I seek clarification on the circumstances surrounding this poor service delivery and the misrepresentation of the product, as well as the necessary measures that will be taken to prevent such occurrences in the future. I must emphasize that the experience has left me with a deep sense of disillusionment, and I regret to say that unless this matter is resolved promptly and satisfactorily, I will no longer be considering future purchases from Takealot. For your reference, I have already logged a return request immediately after discovering the discrepancies in the received unit. I appreciate your attention to this matter and look forward to a swift resolution. Grow light not according to specs

Good day, I have bought a grow light from you, and according to your specs, the light have a 50000 hour lifetime, but when I received the light, it said only 25000 hours. I want the light with the 50000 hours please, and return this one. Please let me know what our steps is further to get the correct light This is was the message to Takealot. They received the message, but did not even open it!!! I must say that their delivery is fast, but when it comes to a complaint, then nothing happens. I am a new customer, and bought a few things from them already, and wanted to buy more, but after this I have 2nd thoughts. There is nothing wrong with the light, but the lifetime is half of it is half of what they said it would be. I just want what they said I will get and nothing more. This is now a problem and I am not happy about it. So unless they give me the light that they promised, I will NOT buy from them again!!!

I Am *** pissed off

I ordered a universal android 7" navigation screen. I got sent universal mp3 car player. I want to mount it to my bike. This is suppose to be a 18mm thick screen with attachments. Power and phone connect and it works. Now I got a 45mm thick car player with wiring to be mounted in a car. Now I must go through the inconvenience of returning it and wait for the correct product. Use my petrol to drive to Nelspruit. Who is going to refund me for that. This is *** poor and I am pissed off

My order got canceled even though I paid

19 Jul I ordered products from take alot. I paid with my bank card and the transaction went through. I received a notification from my bank that the transaction was successful, i saw the money going off my bank account and I received a confirmation email that my payment was received by takealot. Last night I got notified that my order has been canceled because takealot didn't receive any payments! This is ridiculous!!! I paid for my products!!! Is this company now becoming corrupt, the same way as our country? Please give me a number to speak to someone about this.

Takealot not delivering, no comunication

This is the second time this is happening. when tracking my parcel it gives me dlivery time estimate, i have had someone stand at the door, had sighns on the door but still i recieve up to 3 messages saying they are unable to deliver my parcel as there is no one to recieve it, this is unaceptable as there where no takelot representatives or delivery in the visable are of the flat the 1st time, and the second time there was a takealot van ,we went up to the van and asked if there was a delivery for us, and they said none, so tel me how is it posibble to say no one was there to collect parcel when no one came to deliver.

Incorrect delivery address for the second time, refusal to redeliver or refund

My order Order #13156**** ORDERED 29 JUN 2023PAID 29 JUN 2023 was delivered to an old address which has been long deleted and does not appear in the address list in my account. I triple-checked that I had selected the correct one (although either one of the 2 on my account would have worked) and still, it was sent to a different address. I have spent 0ver R200 on phone calls to the help centre and each time am told they will arrange collection and refund or redelivery and will confirm by phone and email. My last conversation was a full week ago and still no response. Despite the fact it says I signed for delivery I did not, they left it at reception I was (obviously) not even there. I cannot just apply for a refund as one of the items says it is not refundable - but I have not even received it and the package has never been opened. The error in delivery addresses is obviously on your side as if you look at my account the address you delivered to is not even there - so I deleted it but your system has not changed it in the delivery department. I am now in the position where a) I want a full refund & b) cannot reorder these or any further items from takealot.com EVER AGAIN unless I have my refund and confirmation that you have updated my addresses to match those on my account.. My next step is to report this to the National Consumer Commission (NCC). Complaint - Lost returned parcel

I purchased a Huawei Band 6 on 11/6/23 for a friend (Zaan), she informed me that the charger is faulty, I logged a return 19/6, it was collected 20/6. I was informed by Takealot that the charger is working and the watch will be returned to Zaan. DPD Lazer couriers delivered the watch 24/6, Zaan wasn't at home, she told the courier to return the watch to the warehouse, she changed her mind, she doesn't want the watch anymore. She contacted Takealot and explained the situation, she was told to log another return, with the reason, "change of mind", which I did on 27/6, since then I've contacted Takealot numerous times for my refund because I want to purchase the Huawei Band 8. The consultants never follow up on the queries, every time I phone them they promise me they will follow up, but once you drop that call, they forget about you and that's where the query ends. I asked numerous times to speak to a manager, the first time I was told that a manager will phone me, that never happened, then I phoned again to speak to a manager, Rida told me to hang on for 2 min, he will transfer me, I hanged on for 27 min, then the phone was dropped, I phoned back, Tamara answered, I asked to speak to Rida, he refused to speak to me. I phoned again soke to Fayzel, he just logged another return. The parcel got lost by DPD Lazer and nobody at Takealot cares about it. I never received such pathetic service from any company. I want my refund back, it's not my fault that Takealot can't trace the parcel that was returned. I'm at the point to lodge a complaint with the retail ombudsman. The consultants at Takealot has a "no care" attitude. There is no use in trying to contact them with your query, because they don't follow up on any query. In the meantime I'm waiting for my refund and there is no one that's prepared to help you.

Item canceled by takealot

Returned a laptop. Before return I typed that shouldn't replace and I don't want to be credited. They credited my account saying they can't replace it because they don't have stock. I went on their site and they do have stock but the problem is I bought the laptop when it was on special. Told them to return the defective laptop and now I'm awaiting feedback now

Good afternoon, I bought a xbox live 12 month subscription through Takealot and when I enter it in my xbox it says that the code has already been redeemed. I bought this on the 26th of April. I was in contact with Microsoft Xbox support and this is their reply: "Thank you for your patience. I have checked the code YKTTC-B7NRD-9RDJM-BGWJ3-M7VQT and I can confirm that it was redeemed Aug 15, 2022 11:16:41 UTC. We highly advise you contact the retailer for a replacement or full refund since the code is already consumed." I have been struggling for two weeks now to get a refund or replacement key and no response from Takealot. After a lot of fighting and requests for feedback, the order has been refunded without any apology.

Deliberately ignoring my correspondence.

Still empty promises.No action like usual after Takealot response. Been 6 days later, also not answering my correspondence regarding my status request on this ongoing unsolved unbelievable unpleasant unprofessional issue I had for close to 2 months now.It's beyond ridiculous, really.Below is what can be done.Example: product collected 10 March, Return concluded 11 March, 12 March credit in my Takealot account. 12 March placed new order payed with refund credit.14 March order will be delivered.How can this be done in 5 days, but the my refund request for the defective product is going for 2 months without any success of being finalized.

4 weeks of promises, escalating my request, approved request. Ignore my correspondence regarding the status of processing my request. Faulty product returned, they collected it. Return was concluded. Then return was declined due to their 30 Day return of unwanted item, policy. After hundreds of mails explaining it's defective, not unwanted. They took the product, they refuse to credit my takealot account, refuse to return the defective item. That is THEFT
