LR4 motor

well the person on the phone was very prompt about price etc and it was shipped very fast. but came with broken plastic pipes, cut wires , im almost thinking they took it out of someones car hot . LOL IM still waiting on the proof of mileage .. which i never recieved. otherwise i mean the motor is in and working crossing fingers it lasts

Incorrect engine sent

I ordered an engine for a 2018 Hyundai Elantra, and they sent out the wrong engine. I totally understand mix-ups. It has been 2 weeks, and I am getting the run around from the warranty department

Need proper invoice and won't let me activate warranty

Just put on hold forever and no one gets on phone. Sakes apparently can't furnish an invoice and transfers you to customer service only to be put on hold for over an hour with no response

Zero stars

March 17, 2023 I purchased an engine for my car. I was told it had 85,000 miles on it I accepted it since my car has over 236,000 miles on it. Paid for it waited for delivery. My mechanic recieved it and called me and told me that he ran a carfax on the engine because there was some telltale signs of there being significantly more wear on the engine than they (swengines) said. Infact carfax report said there was 300,000 plus miles on it. I immediately filed for return and for pick up. I was given the option of exchange or refund and chose exchange cuz I wanted to give them a second chance to redeem themselves. Engine got picked up and warranty department said I'd be contacted for a new engine. 2 weeks after the engine was picked up I called to find update of warrantee status and thats when the chaos and thievery started. I called a number they provided no one answered. I contacted via email and got "were sorry for inconvenience but Name isn't employed with the company anymore please contact warranty department." I got yanked around and jerked around so much and when I was able to talk to someone I was told several times that a refund confirmation email would come to me by email by friday and now its may 15 and they still have my money and I have no engine. Im trying to fill out BBB complaint and I their location was listed on their website and now it isn't. No body waste your time or money with these stupid f*cks. Look elseware. Remanns.com, Used.remanns.com, Swengines.com and SWEwebsite are all the same and should be avoided.

Faulty motor sent

The engine sent to my mechanic was not installable brokenvalve cover gaskets broke and timing chain loose need a replacement motor for my jeepcommander2006 sent to John Kennedys garage and the broken one replaced

Your fake warranty.

I have been trying to get a replacement engine for almost 2 months. I purchased an engine for a 2016 kia sorrento less than a year ago. It blew up in the middle of the highway and left my elderly mother stranded. I contacted your company and they asked me for information, I sent it in late December. I was told I would get a replacement in 7 days. Total lie. I had to pay for a second tow truck back to my house cause he couldn't keep my car on his lot for over a month. I resent the info and still nothing. I have called 7 times and am assured every time I will be contacted soon. Another lie. The warranty department transferred me to a Margaret Forger who transferred me to a Mr. Allen who said warranty is notbhis business and hung up on me. No i called again and no answers. Your 5 year warranty is a fraud. I have had to pay for 2 tows and 3 weeks of rental cars. Because your company sells garbage motors. I want my replacement that was promised. And the reimbursement for the second installation I was promised.

Scam Company

Horrible company and worst customer service. If I could give them something less than one star, I would. I agree with the majority of reviews on this website. This business is a scam. Any positive reviews posted about this business are probably friends of the business trying to offset all the negative reviews. I purchased an engine in early september. When I received, it was the incorrect engine. I contacted them to have it sent back. I received the label to have it picked up and shipped back and it was sent. This was 3 weeks ago. I still can't get my refund from SW Engines. They ignore emails anSd phone calls. They bounce you around without any response. They track the phone number you're calling from to avoid picking up and leave you on hold. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS BUSINESS. All I want is my refund, and they want to play games to avoid giving back the money owed.Scam

Company stole my money and sent a CRACKED engine

Motor was cracked. Won't honor warranty. Said warranty is false and deceptive advertising. They should be prosecuted

FRAUD, STAY AWAY

Fraud, stay away! I bought a used 6.6L LB7 Duramax diesel engine with an advertised mileage of 93,000 miles. What showed up is an engine with 293,000 miles. They refuse to refund a portion of the purchase price and they refuse to cover the cost of replacement. They are responsible for significantly lowering the value of my vehicle and refuse to make me whole. The next call is to an attorney.

Order track

I still have not received the engine that I paid for on January 17. When I placed the order I was told I would receive it within two weeks I had to pay the full price of the engine including a core charge. Ive been calling every week to follow up I keep getting sent to the order department who sends me to a supervisor I leave a voicemail and I never get a call back.

Do NOT buy from these crooks!

FINAL UPDATE... NY STATE consumer affairs protection bureau is officially involved.....been 35 days, continue to say shipping tomorrow every day. Now I asked for refund and it has a box to check that they will keep 25%, *** NO, I DONT THINK SO! ABSOLUTELY DO NOT BUY FROM THESE CROOKS!!!!!!!

I have had the same experience with this company as everyone that has posted here. I was sent at first a bad motor that was labeled "for parts only" and then another motor was sent that had 140,000 miles while the sales contract was for a motor with 64,000 miles. After I refused the 2nd motor they refunded part of the money but still kept $1488. This was completely on them to supply me with a motor as advertised but they miserably failed to do so. I made many calls without getting through to anyone but or no response - within an hour or so of filing a complaint with the State of Wisconsin there was a response from their lawyer who was evidently just waiting for this complaint. They seem to only exist to rip people off. If that is not bad enough they have a lawyer that is corrupt enough to defend them. The State of Wisconsin wants to be rid of them but for some reason have not been successful. Mr Howard Phillips is more than willing to assist anyone with complaints. It may also help to address this to your credit card company and see what they can do to stop honoring sales through companies like this. If they want to respond that is fine but as usual they will deny they have done anything wrong. If they want the invoice number they will have to look up the invoice themselves.

Bad experience with SWEngines

Shipping delayed, product not in good condition when received and a year after buying it we had problems. When we called for warranty they said the 5 year warranty was not activated within 10 days of delivery and was not valid. We paid $1,900 for an engine that lasted one year. Not a good value. Their website states, "Our priority is you and holding ourselves to a high standard of quality business practices." We will not be doing business with them in the future.
