Due to a complaint

The owner of the particular smart cuts that I went to did contact me and said that his manager, the manager of that store would get in touch with me, but that hasnt happened yet, so Im just waiting for the owner to make contact with the manager and the manager to make contact with me so that we can resolve this issue.

Really unsatisfied

I went to my normal hairstylist at Supercuts in Lynchburg which is a wonderful lady we have always gotten along great. I have natural brown hair with bleached blonde colored hair, so my roots had definitely grown out. I showed up to my appointment talking to her about the pros and cons of not knowing if I wanted to stay blonde because it does help cover the greys, but at the same time the bleach dry's out my hair. I have also been on the fence of going back burgundy because it wouldn't dry my hair out near as bad, but the gray would show more. She helped with explaining going burgundy and not liking it, I wouldn't be able to go back to blonde over-night. Which is true, it took me about a year to go through the process of getting to the blonde I wanted. So blonde it was and she started to foil my hair entirely. I am not the professional so I let her do her job. Once I came from the sink to chair and she started to blow dry she would not allow me to see it because she wanted it to be a suprise. Yes, I absolutely loved the length of my hair the shade of blonde was beautiful but was that what I needed? I came in with the length of my hair blonde. The problem was my roots were brown and after all that they were still brown. I said something to her and she told me she does not color all the way to the scalp. For one I didn't say anything to her and for another I told her that one stylist had burned me before. What does one stylist have to do with burning my scalp when I have been a blonde for years, and on top of that I asked if I was to go burgandy would I have came out with brown roots and the rest burgandy and I was told no my entire head would be burgandy. Well that makes no sense to me. So she told me after paying her for an entire foil a hair cut and buying shampoo, conditioner and giving her a tip I would have to pay her an additional fee to color my roots. That was the whole reason I went there to begin with. Then I had to go through the franchising manager to be told that she had been doing hair for 21 years and if my roots had been colored blonde I would come out with orange hair. I have never had so much air blown at me. How do women walk around with all blonde hair? I know I have and it has been colored. Needles to say they gave me a refund on my foil services and asked if I could find another salon to satisfy my needs. Guess what? Within 8 days I went to Indulgences of Roanoke where I use to go and should have never left. The leason learned when it comes to your hair do not try to cut corners or spend less money. Wait until you can pay top dollar because it is totally worth it and do not let someone tell you that you can not have what you want. Nice people may work at salons but it does not mean they have the best product or they know what they are doing or how they are educated in their field of work. I definelty went somewhere else and got what I was told I could not only by spending $40 more dollars. After all the time and hassel it was worth it to just spend the extra in the begining and not cut corners.

Purposeful bad haircut

I went into Supercuts today and received the worst haircut known to mankind. I asked for cute wispy bangs. I showed her multiple photos of what I wanted ( I showed her a photo of Britney Spears younger when she had bangs) anyways I left with chopped up thick bangs that are even chopped past both sides of my forehead as if I had a long forehead and I don't so I look like I have a unobrow/ bowlcut. I've been crying for hours now and am at disbelief that this even happened to me

Formal apology

On Saturday June 24, 2023, I arrived at the Supercuts located at 1057 El Camino Real in Redwood City, CA 94063 for a haircut for my son. I chose to have his hair professionally cut because, I expected the job to be done carefully and correctly by Trinh M.T. Nguyen License No. KK392409. I asked Trinh M.T. Nguyen, hair stylist, for a low fade with a line-up in the front. I even showed her a picture of my son and how he styles his hair. Instead, Trinh, did a high fade where the lines were still visible. I told Trinh, multiple times that is not what I asked for. I even asked her multiple times to go back and blend the fade in more and she said trust me. After a couple minutes she removes the cape from my son and hes done. I asked her, what is this? This hair cut is incomplete. Trinh responded, what do you want me too do? I responded back to her and said, you need to fix it. Im not walking out of here with my sons hair looking like this. Instead of trying to fix it Trinh, got irritated and aggressive and called another co-worker I believe her name was Ana, and told her I don't know what she wants. I asked Ana, another hairstylist, do you think this is a haircut. Ana, responded no. I told Ana that I cant take my son with this horrible incomplete haircut. I can see Anas face and that she felt bad. Ana said, she said no you cant take your boy like this. Let try to fix your sons haircut. Ana was very apologetic which I appreciate. Trinh never once apologized, if anything her demeaner was aggressive rude and hostile. Veronica, manager on site, came over and said we like try to fix your sons' hair. Im sorry about this, I will talk to her. She agreed with me on the horrible haircut. Ana did the best she could, and I appreciate that. The manager insisted I didn't have to pay. I did tip Ana as she really did try to correct Trinhs horrible haircut. Ana felt bad for me and my son. My son likes his fades well-blended and crisp line. He got neither during his haircut. I realized I wasn't going to get what we wanted out of this cut and just accepted my fate. Finally. My son cried a little and just decided to wear a hat till his hair grows out for the rest of the weeks. My son has never had such grotesque haircut in his life. I could not have anticipated that a licensed hairdresser would not only leave my son with grotesque haircut that has inflict horrifically emotional damage as he is an actor and had an audition Monday, June 26, 2023. As a result of your insured's negligence, my son sustained emotional damages including not getting the acting role, pain and suffering. The worse part of this is Trinh, never did once apologized! NOT acceptable. Trinh M.T. Nguyen License No. KK392409 had no chair manners and certainly NO SKILLS CUTTING HAIR. I will never go to another Supercuts again. Supercuts needs to better screen their hair stylist before they hire them, as they represent the company. Trinh do not do any good to the name. It should be rename SUPER HORROR HAIR CUT. if you want something different... come to Supercuts, we will make sure to shock you and anyone that looks at you. I filed a complaint with California Department of Consumer Affairs (DCA).

Horrible service

On Saturday June 24, 2023, my son and I arrived at Supercuts, located at 1057 El Camino Real in Redwood City, CA 94063, in search of a professional haircut for my son, as advertised. We were assisted by Trinh M.T. Nguyen License No. KK392409. Being that we came to a professional salon, we expected our requests to be met, at the minimum with standard customer service and supplied with a stylist, educated enough to perform a simple request for a low fade with a line-up in the front. A picture was supplied for sufficient reference. Unfortunately, this is where our nightmare began. Instead, Trinh, proceeded to perform a high fade with visible lines present, with no attempt at blending. Both my son, the customer, and myself made multiple attempts at communicating our concerns that the service that was being provided was not remotely close to what was verbalized and physically displayed for Trinh. We did request, multiple times, for her to please blend the fade in more. Our request was received with disregard and was advised by Trinh to, trust me. After voicing our concerns, she removes the robe from my son and states hes done. I could not believe the result, the look of horror on my sons face. I tried to address the issue with Trinh, requesting her to please fix this as this as it is an incomplete service. To my utter dismay, Trinhs response was heartbreaking, what do you want me to do? I pleaded with her, please, you need to fix it. To our dismay, Trinh proceeded to become aggressive and visibly irritated and called another co-worker, not management. The coworker she introduced was Ana. I discussed the situation with Ana and asked her whether she agreed with the service being complete. She agreed that the cut was inadequate. I explained to Ana that I could not take my son with this appalling haircut. Ana responded with empathy stating, no, you cant take your boy like this, let me try to fix your sons haircut. Ana was very apologetic which was very much appreciated. Trinh never once attempted to apologize. It was the opposite, her demeaner became more aggressive and hostile as time progressed. At which time I was approached by Veronica, the manager on site. She did approach me and agreed to the attempts needed to fix the horrendous service provided by Trinh. Veronica did apologize and acknowledge the inadequate customer service and unprofessional communication displayed by Trinh. The manager insisted I didn't have to pay, and she would discuss further with Trinh. A tip was provided for Ana, as she really did try to correct Trinhs horrific haircut. My son prefers his fades to be well-blended with a crisp line-up. Even though ample details, with a picture depicting his request was provided. We left with a huge and unforgivable strike to a teenage boys confidence in an already insensitive society. The worse part of this entire situation is that Trinh never once attempted to apologize, let alone acknowledged her mistake! This type of behavior is Unacceptable on all levels regardless of career. I have since filed a complaint with the California Department of Consumer Affairs (DCA).

The customer incentive free haircut after eight paid for haircuts

Every time it was time to receive the free incentive, there would be an excuse to prevent from giving the faithful customer the free haircut. The computer keeps a record of how many times the customer has had a haircut. So the person giving the haircut can see the customer has a free haircut. But chooses to not give the customer the free haircut.

Messed my hair up so bad, NEVER go to SuperCuts

Original review Jul 20, 2023
Have curly hair that was past the middle of my back, went in to have it trimmed up and short layers put back in and walk out with a bob, hair was uneven, the girl that cut my hair didn't know what she was doing with curly hair, even though she said she did, and the manager tried to help her fix but made it worse. When I got home and take a shower, I realized that my hair was so short, so uneven, that I went back the next day to get a refund,of course the girl who cuts my hair walks out back to make the phone call to the manager, is gone for a good 5-10 minutes comes back in and says she can't reach the manager, that I'd have to come back the next day, so I go back the next day to talk with the manager and the manager tells me I'm not getting my money back and they're not going to pay for my hair to be fixed. Take my advice stay the *** away from Supercuts!!! because you can't deal with the management, the people look like they're homeless, in you can't reach anybody at their customer service number, and when you file a complaint online it never gets returned, so be aware you're taking your own hair in your hands if you go to Supercuts

I have been trying to cancel my subscription for over a year!

I signed up for the $17.00 service over a year ago. My son refused to get his hair cut there again. I have been trying to cancel my service for over a year, but nobody will call me back and nobody answers the phone. The store I signed up with is closed. Nobody will call me back and I keep getting charged. Never ever use this company! They take advantage and do a horrible job.

Unprofessional & no great hair stylist

My son had been going to the Supercuts on Brandon Blvd, Brandon, FL for about 3 years. Needless to say, the last color he received was TERRIBLE. He has dark brown hair & the mgr. Richelle colored it blue w/o bleaching it. Since he had a previous color, the top was still lighter, so, only a small area of the top turned blue. Then Richelle said she'd give him a free hair cut & may even do a full color as an apology. Well, she didn't end up even working on the Tuesday she set him up for. So, we set another appt for the following Sunday at 11 am; however, once again she wasn't there. Needless to say, we gave her another chance & made an appt for today, Tuesday, 5/16, & not surprising the store was closed. Three strikes you're out. She refused to refund the money because she said her & her co-workers the whole hair got colored. I have pics from that day, & that's not true. It's a horribly run & managed business, & we lost money & time. We read reviews about how Supercuts is a scam. We tend to agree. Sad! :(

Uneven haircut and bad customer service

Updated by user Oct 01, 2022
They sent me an email stating that they did an internal investigation and found no fault of the matter and closed it. In other words, they sided with the stylist

Original review Aug 31, 2022
I went to the Amherst NY location on the 24th of Aug. I've been going there for nine years now. Never an issue until now. I told the stylist that the haircut was uneven. She said that I didn't know what I was talking about. When I got home I checked the cut and low and behold I was right. I called and asked to speak with the manager, She said that she would fix it for me. On the day that she was planning on fixing it, I get a phone call stating that I am NOT to come in because the manager is nervous about fixing my haircut. Also I am NOT WELCOME that location any more.
