Worse company to buy from!!

Original review Aug 28, 2023
PLEASE DO NOT BUY FROM SUBARU! TAKE YOUR MONEY TO ANOTHER COMPANY THAT IS WILLING TO HELP YOU OUT IF YOU ARE HAVING CAR ISSUES. TOOK MY CAR IN ON MARCH 29, 2023 TO DCH SUBARU OF RIVERSIDE! THE REASON I TOOK MY CAR IN WAS BECAUSE IT GAVE OUT ON ME ON THE FREEWAY.I WAS GOING BACK AND FORTH WITH THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY COULDN'T GIVE ME AN ANSWER TO WHAT WAS WRONG WITH MY CAR THEY SAID I WASNT DOING THE MAINTENANCE SO I SENT THEM MY INVOICES OF MY OIL CHANGES AND THEY STILL WHERE GIVING ME A HARD TIME. HAVE EXTENDED WARRANTY AND THEY DIDNT TAKE IT INTO TO CONSIDERATION. AFTER TEO MONTHS OF DEALING WITH THEM I REACHED OUT TO CORPORATE JUST SO I CAN GET THE SAME IF NOT WORSE SERVICE. ITS 5 MONTHS THS LATER (AUGUST 28,2023) AND THEY STILL CAN'T EVEN TELL ME WHAT IS WRONG WITH MY CAR. I KEEP CALLING TO TALK TO THE SPECIALIST WHO IS TAKING MY CASE BUT EVERY TIME I CALL THEY SAY SHE IS BUSY AND SHE WILL CALL ME IN TWO BUSINESS DAYS AND SHE NEVER CALLS. I ASKED TO SPEAK TO THE SUPERVISOR AND SAMETHING. THEY ARE BY FAR THE WORSE IF YOU BUY A CAR FROM THEM, MAKE SURE YOU HIRE AN ATTORNEY BEFOREHAND BECAUSE YOU WILL DEFINITELY NEED THEM TO HELP YOU GET YOUR CAR THAT YOU ARE STILL PAYING FOR WHILE YOURE NOT USING IT. THEY DONT CARE ABOUT US THEY CAR ABOUT THERE SALES AND THEY MAKE CARS TO BREAKDOWN AND THEN BLAME IT ON YOU. I KNOW IM NOT THE ONLY ONE GOING THROUGH THIS SO I HOPE PEOPLE CAN READ THESE REVIEWS BEFORE BUYING A SUBARU. 5 MOTNHS WITHOUT A CAR AND THEY HAVENT EVEN TOUCHED MY CAR. CANT BELIVE THEY WILL LET SOMEONE WITHOUT A CAR FOR THAT LONG

Known issue with faulty CVT Transmission

Shame on you Subaru of America, Inc. ! Buyer Beware!! My daughter purchased a 2015 Subaru Forester a couple years ago. Just paid it off and it now has 115K miles. Beautiful looking car. She was driving down the road last week and all the warning lights lit up on the dash. She took it in to the local dealer and she was told she needed her CVT transmission replaced. Appx 12K repair cost on a vehicle with a trade in value of 7-10K without transmission problems. A mother of two small children, just paid this car off and now its worth nothing? A 2015 Subaru with 115K miles? Built to Last, my *** The worst part is that Subaru knows about this and it is not an isolated incident. Apparently, the Christmas tree of lights on the dash indicating a failure of the CVT Transmission is a common problem. They extended the warranty on this to 10 years/100K miles. Which sadly my daughter just barely missed, based on the mileage only. You have falsely built a reputation of reliability. We will be telling anyone that will listen about this terrible situation. Shame on You Subaru!

Subaru Of America service

Updated by user Jul 29, 2023
No email. No call

They still have not called or emailed

Original review Jun 29, 2023
I have written a dozen emails in length about all the issues Ive had since purchasing a Subaru certified vehicle. I believe they just ignore and delete the emails as they do not respond. My car is on the 5th transmission and theres only 70,000 miles on it. And that only scratching the surface of the amount of issues Ive had. I called and spoke with Juan for nearly an hour the other day. He agreed many times and recorded phone call that I was experiencing an absurd amount of issues. He marked my case as urgent and said somebody should contact me within 24 hours. Its been 10 days and Ive received is the automated email asking how my service was.

Plethora of car trouble with my XT Touring model forester that was “Subaru certified”

Updated by user Jun 29, 2023
No contact besides automated “ how was your service surveys”

Original review Jun 29, 2023
I bought this Subaru certified top model Forester thinking I was getting something quality. Ive been in and out of the service department a couple dozen times in a few years. Thank God I purchased the extended warranty because of the car wouldve cost me double for the amount of times Ive been in there. Theres not enough space in this form for me to tell you how terrible its been. I would never ever ever buy a Subaru again, and not only because the car had so many issues, but because the service department was pathetic. Subaru of America is complete trash as well, and doesnt even respond to my emails or phone calls anymore. I just talk to them about a serious issue that was going on with my car and the customer service rep said that he would mark it urgent so someone would contact me in 24 hours. Its been 10 days and they haven't contacted me yet. Going over the stack of paperwork, I just realized this is the 5th transmission thats been in this vehicle and theres only 71,000 miles on it. They replaced it three times at 29,000 miles!!!

Lost pocketbook/key

I lost my pocketbook and several hundred dollars worth of items plus my 2nd set of Subaru keys. I am told it will cost me $285.30 plus $150 to program for a new set of keys. I had All state (Subaru sold me) and was only 1 month out of warranty (and the key would have been replaced. Subaru would not help. Im pretty sure I will not be getting another Subaru.

Replacement key fob for a 2006 benign Tribeca

I have visited both dealerships here in San Antonio Texas asking them for a fob to be programmed to my car. Well, their story is that I need to have a fob existing in my hand for them to program it to my car. My car was purchased at a salvage, and it has no fob, I dont know that the key that I have is the valet key or if its a master key I dont understand what that all means. Im just interested in a fob and Im tired of the runaround. Ive been looking since April.

Poor vehicle service

To whom this may concern; for the last year I put up with the mistake and maybe they the dealership or salesman had a bad day. Today will be the last day I would recommend anyone to purchase a Subaru. First it was my radio and took about eight months to get it replace, then the drivers, window would only work when it wanted and they order the part which it took other four months to get replace only because I brought the vehicle for services come to find out it was never order, which took other week which they provided a loner which this should of never happen. The vehicle had a state inspection which I was charge come to find out when I went to register my vehicle it was never inspected. I call the dealership and they said, the maintained department that they did not conducted an inspection and was never should of being charge. I also ask about the weather stripping that was damage and removed during the service and the dealership took pictures and were going to order it, and once it arrived they would call me. Come to find out that never happen nothing was order, very dissatisfied with the Subaru of El Paso. Will never again buy a SUBARU. Vic Pedraza El Paso, TX 915-996-**** vpvictor70@***.com

Fresno Subaru rip off

I applied online for a 2023 outback wilderness at lithia Subaru in Fresno, I submitted all the paperwork and Josh and Jason at Fresno lithia told me that Subaru did not qualify me to get the loan and they want me to go with the 16.9% lender that they got because no one else would finance me and I had to put $9200, so the next day when I called him, the car had sold already- (which ended up being a good thing) but there is another dealership in Bakersfield, California so I applied there and surprise, surprise I was immediately financed directly with Subaru- who I was told by Lithia, would not finance me, financed me with a FAR lower interest rate of 6.9% which in turn made the monthly payment go from 805$ to 675$ (with upgraded warranty package, oil changes & gap-things I couldnt afford at lithia) . I was later told that they just wanted to profit off me with the highest interest rate.I am sure I am not the first or the last person who this has happened to. I would love for you guys check their business model because they lost a customer by being greedy. I would definitely never recommend this particular dealership to anyone and will always share my honest experience with anyone looking for a Subaru. I will now drive an hour and half to do any business with the Sagera dealership in Bakersfield. It seems Josh and Jason were more worried about the dollar than the customer. I feel like they were intentionally trying to take advantage of the situation. It is extremely unprofessional and hopefully Subaru will agree that it was very unethical on their part.

Subaru WRX 2021 warranty BUYER BEWARE

Original review Mar 08, 2023
Im leasing a Subaru WRX 2021 with only 12K miles and I had engine failure. I have the car for only 18 months and Subaru is giving me the run around. They have my car for almost one month with no resolution when I called the local dealer in Temecula CA they tell me they are waiting on a response from Subaru of America. I talked to two different people are the customer resolution center in NJ and they have no answers for me. This engine has a problem since 2009. There is an actual class action lawsuit against Subaru for engine failure for WRX models. I will highly suggest you do some research online before buying one of these WRX cars. I also had to replace my windshield because rocks hit it on the highway and the it cracked. I also found out Subaru had another class action suit against them because of an issue with the windshields. I wish I had done lots of research before leasing this car.

Still not happy

About 5 weeks ago my windshield started cracking with NO chips or any reasoning behind it. It took 3 weeks but someone did finally call me back. Their answer was well we have never heard of this.. I call Bull S$$t as there are hundreds of complaints. They said they would pay my deductible if I sent them a copy of my credit card statment.. Not sending anyone my information.. The receipt from safelite only has total charges for new windshield, no breakdown of payment. Even the person at Safelite said that was the weirdest break he had seen. Honestly Subaru doesn't care. I love my Outback but this was just wrong

No help and no call back, car will break down before 60k miles

It has been over FIVE MONTHS since my 2015 Forester's engine and timing assembly went out with LESS THAN 60k MILES ON THE CAR!!! It has been TWO WEEKS since I called Lithia Subaru of Fresno with regard to getting a copy of the software for my ECU after having my car rebuilt elsewhere. I have yet to get a call back. It has been over 48 BUSINESS HOURS since I called Subaru to lodge a complaint. In fact, it has been over 72 BUSINESS HOURS since I made the complaint. I was unable to visit my friend in ICU as she laid dying from cancer because my CAR BROKE DOWN!!! Stop advertising that you are a company that cares in any capacity, and stop advertising that your cars last the test of time.

Wanting $500 back from Subaru of Wichita

Signed a contract & put $500 down. Now Subaru wants to re-write contract. Told them to give me my money back, not only have they not done this, but they sold the auto to someone else.
