Warranty claim

I purchase a new hot tub cover in November 2022. This month I noticed a sagging in one corner. On inspection, the foam insert had deteriorated, however the remaining 3 inserts were fine. Therefore, there must be a material defect and should be replaced under their 5-year warranty. I contacted the company and sent them photos and description of the issue. Their response was "Take out the affected foam insert and flip it over" I stated that there must be an issue of why the foam failed and as a company they should be concerned that their product is faulty. Their response was they can supply inserts for $25 plus $104.61 shipping! I highlighted that if this is their idea of covering their product with a 5-year warranty, then it's not worth the paper it's written on. Why didn't they go for a 50-year warranty, as it doesn't really matter, as they will not warranty their product?

CORRUPT BUSINESS!

Hot Tup cover was a piece of crap. Holes and stables all in it. Pure garbage. Owner is corrupt and will rip you off. BEWARE! Buy anywhere other than Stonewood Manufacturing!

Deceitful Company

Stonewood manufacturing has different websites that look great for hot tub covers, and they all promise faster delivery than competitors at a slightly better price, but once you place the order you will get an email in the next couple of days saying that there will be a hefty shipping surcharge. They offer different excuses for this every time, when what they should do is be upfront about the more expensive shipping costs, which they dont do because then their pricing would be more expensive than the competition. I had to cancel two orders, from two different websites, because its always the same. Too bad I didnt read the reviews online before purchasing, as you will see that they do this to everyone. Very deceitful, especially since their additional shipping varies depending on the website you purchased from and the total costs (first website order was $590 and they quoted $170 for additional shipping). Cancelled the order and placed a new one with a different website, not knowing it as the same company. Order was $610 and the additional shipping was now $130. I guess they have a value they must meet. Spare yourself the trouble and look elsewhere.

Material & customer service is obsoletely terrible.

I bought this cover about 3.5 years ago, which fit perfectly & the workmanship seemed great. However, after a little over 2 years, the stitching & material were degrading to the point that I had to put some Gorilla tape on the cover to help keep it in tack. I called Stonewood & emailed them numerous times before my warranty period expired, but never connected with anyone. I contacted the Better Business Bureau but never heard back from them either. My warranty period has expired, & now I have to purchase another cover. The one that was on there previous to the one I bought from Stonewood, lasted about 21 years. Their customer service is non-existent. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.

False advertising, bait-and-switch

Order a spa cover through the spacoverspot.com website which offered "free shipping." Order was easy, price was reasonable. Once ordered and money paid, received an email saying shipping wasn't free and they would need to charge us $200 more to cover it, claiming "supply chain issues." Kevin from Stonewood said they can't send this via UPS or FedEx and have to use freight. Why didn't they know that already? THEY are the hot tub cover company. Ridiculous. Canceled my order before getting ripped off and losing more of my time. Go somewhere else that practices honesty and up-front advertising.

DONT EXIST AS FAR AS i CAN TELL

ORDERED AND PAID FOR SPA COVER NEVER RECIEVED... WONT ANSWER CALLS OR EMAILS REGARDING WHEREABOUTS OF MY COVER ... ORDERED 8/19/22 IT IS NOW 10/24/22

Horrible company

I ordered a cover. Actually received a damaged cover. I sent it back Then like the other posts was given continued run around about it being in production. No returned phone calls, just email say Ill check with production manager I eventually called my cc company and had them start a fraud complaint. Then I received email that they were canceling my order. However I still have yet to receive a refund, prob wont get one. Do not order from this company

Ripped off

they are scammers scammed me out of 400 plus dollars, should be ashamed of themselves stealing from retired people on fixed incomes ordered a cover ,never got anything, then after emailing them they said they emailed me for more money for shipping which i didt get then the second email , i agreed and still no reply or cover. i will be taking a drive to tampa, with a few friends

I ordered my spa cover, and they made it in 4 days and shipped it on the 5th day. I received it very quickly and it fits great. So far I have no complaints.

After ordering not tub cover for over $400 suddenly not shipping is 100 not free

Ordered not tub cover. Next day get an email from Debbie saying I don't get free shipping because of fuel costs.

Never received cover

I ordered and paid for a cover on April 15, 2022. They said about 10 days to ship. I had not received the cover by May 25, 2022, so I emailed them. They stated, "You should have already received your cover. I will check with the shipping manager and will update you shortly." They didn't get back to me, so I contacted them the next day. They stated, "The shipping manger is working on this with the freight carrier. If they cannot locate it by the end of the day we are going to build a new cover and get it shipped out next week. I hadn't heard back from them by June 2, 2022, so I emailed them again telling them to overnight me one or refund my money. They stated "I will check with the shipping manager for an update and will update you soon." Then they stated, "I will have an update for you shortly. Spa covers cannot ship overnight. They must ship with a freight carrier. As I mentioned in my previous email that since the carrier lost your cover we had to build you a new cover which does take time. I will update you shortly with your new tracking information." They never told me the carrier lost my cover. I stated to them, "You never let me know if it was lost or located." They stated, "I apologize for my miscommunication. I will be updating you as soon as I hear back from the shipping manager. That was June 2, 2022, and today is June 10, 2022, and I still haven't heard back from them, so I filed a complaint with my credit card company.

Where is my hot tub cover

Paid in full 12/2021 have heard NOTHING from this company since I placed this order. I can't talk to anyone because all you get is a recording and they don't call back. The most discouraging part is the number of complaints to BBB yet they are still in business and still ripping people off

No Communication on Broken Cover

I ordered a hot tub cover from this company on 11/7/21 (). The upgraded cover was originally supposed to cost $570.97. I was contacted by Deborah (Debbie) Smith shortly after and was told that the originally advertised "free" shipping was going to cost $205 because the cover was too large to ship via UPS or FedEx and had to go via an LTL semi-truck. After some back and forth, and me even offering to pick up the cover 2 hrs away at the shipping hub, I was told there would still be an extra charge even if I picked up at the hub (should have been my first sign this was a scam) for shipping so I gave them the ok to charge my card the extra $205. On Nov 19 I was told production time was 30-35 days and shipping was 6-7 days. I gave them the final ok to proceed. On December 30th I was told that the cover was shipping via SEFL freight and given a tracking number that did not work. I then received another email from Kevin Edwards on 1/4 saying the cover had shipped again, and again giving me a tracking number that didn't work. I responded to Kevin saying the tracking number didn't work on 1/13 and he responded on the 14th that he would get the shipping manager to look into this "first thing" and that he would update me "soon." I never received an update and the cover was delivered via UPS on 1/18 and left in front of my garage. The cover and package were severely damaged. I immediately contacted Kevin and Deborah via email and the phone and was told that the cover was not shipped via UPS... even though it was marked with UPS freight and I watched the truck leave my residence. I asked how we were going to resolve the matter and was told the shipping manager would contact me in the morning. This is the last communication I have received from them (it's now 1/21.) I have tried emailing and calling several more times with no response. Now I'm stuck with a broken cover with no way to return or get my money back. STAY AWAY! Total SCAM

Bait and switch don't trust them

I ordered a hot tub cover didn't hear anything for months. Very hard to contact no one answers their phone. Finally got an email where they lied saying that they had tried to contact me. They then demanded another $40 for shipping citing small print in their policy. I reluctantly agreed. They then said they actually needed $140. I told them they were no better than a sleazy bait and switch used car salesman.

Spa Cover From ***

I ordered (and paid for) this "spa cover from *** on May 2, 2021. I was told it would take about a month! Today is July 14, 2021 - that's 2 1/2 months later!!!! Still no spa cover. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!!!! THEY ARE LIARS!!! NOTHING BUT EXCUSES!!!!
