Shower enclosure Installation problems.

Conformed missing holes in bottom of inside panel. In order to install inside panel guide holes must be drilled in bottom of inside panel. Nothing in instructions on procedure to do this. I want input from manufacturer before doing this, ( Drilling holes).

Parts

Had a shower door kit that had some age to it and no hardware upon opening the packaged door. Called Sterling and the girl i spoke to was top notch. Have a hardware pack coming my way and best part, its free

Faulty product

Original review Jul 01, 2022
Purchased the back piece to your walk in shower and it was broken. Returned it twice to the original lowes store where we purchased it and went to two more lowes for purchase for a total of four purchases and returns and all four were defective. This has cost us two weeks of time and money and we are severely pissed.

I wanted to ask several question about one of your walk-in shower kits told me high call volume and to go on line to ask questions can’t find the answer maybe delta or another company could answer

Need help but could get it thanks anyway thanks but you didnt have time to answer my call and I dont have time for a 100 symbols

Product defect

The product (shower door) trim glue did adhere to the glass. Was unattached from the glass. Installer had to repair.

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER

My husband and his co-worker were installing a Sterling Glass Shower Door. My husband held the shower door by the glass near the Handle and the other on the frame of the door. He turned it at an 90 degree angle to lay it down and the glass shattered. Nothing was bumped or hit at all. I was really shocked about this product. It was supposed to be a good door now it shattered all over him & his co-worker. This company needs to replace the door at no cost to the consumer. This is ridiculous. I have never seen or heard of a glass shower door exploding. It sounded like a gunshot very loud. I'm not impressed. Now the home owner is very upset about this issue. Very Ticked Off Person

Don't count on timely delivery

Original shower stall order date June 23, 2017 with an expected delivery of 3-4 weeks. 9 weeks later, the order arrived on August 25 and was damaged. A replacement was ordered same day, but did not arrive until October 13, 2017. After the original order was placed, it was 9 weeks for delivery (after being told 3-4 weeks) with numerous irrelevant excuses. When unpacked, it was damaged. The damaged piece was reordered that day and took 6 1/2 weeks to be delivered. In that time period the Customer Service Dept. told me Sterling had more orders this Summer than they were equipped to deliver in their normal time period, so they contracted out to a trucking company. That made it clear to me that it was the trucking company making the excuses and also not doing the job they were hired for. I also feel Sterling should have been more proactive in following up with the trucking company.

Sterling Plumbing Shower Installation Review from Somerville, Ohio

My Mother in law called Sterling to have a shower Stahl installed and said company came in to this 63 year old women's house and left her with a horrible mess that she now on top of paying them has to pay well over a 1000$ to have repaired on the fixed budget that she barely makes it on now with no responses to her calls or complaints to fix it she is literally being ignored so my advice to you do not ever use this company if I had my way they would be shut down and never able to do this to anyone again

Money Back Review

Don't invest in this company . Cause I invested and now they don't pick up the phone they cut me off when I do manage to get thought . Travelling to Dubai next week with my mates to get my money back ... That's all

ZC Sterling is NOT an insurance company

ZC Sterling is NOT an insurance company, an insurance company INSURES you against a loss for a premium which you pay on a monthly basis, hopefully you never NEED to use it but, it's protection against loss should you do, by that definition ZC Sterling is merely an extortion racket, they take a monthly payment from you but when you need them, all they do is deny your claim, I have had 2 weather related incidents occur causing damage to my home, ZC Sterling sent so called 'adjusters' out to review the damage and then denied my claim, on incident occured in May of 2010, and amazingly, my home was the only home in my ENTIRE neighborhood to escape damage from the storm, all my problems were from 'age' never mind there were multiple homes in the area with the same 'age' related symptoms of their roofs and siding, and just this year we were flooded by severe rain and snow accumulations, they don't cover 'ground water', go figure, so my advice is this DO NOT PATRONIZE ZC STERLING! They will rip you off and provide NO protection for your dollar.

Terrible service from Sterling

We ordered a top-of-the-line shower door. Lowe's took our order (a new clerk) and we received the right door but the wrong frame from Sterling. The frame was beveled; we need a straight frame. We called Sterling; they told us not to take the door back to Lowes - that they would send replacement parts that week. When the part finally came ten days later, it was the wrong part. We called the service department again. They apologized and said they would send out the correct part the next day. Two weeks later, it still has not come in. The service department yesterday said it will take weeks. We asked to speak to someone in management. We are still waiting for a call back. It has over a month trying to get the correct part. We are not happy at all! Business cannot be that good now. Don't they like happy customers?

Sterling shower doors

I need to retracked what I said perviously, about the Sterling shower doors. The instructions are there, but they are a little hard to understand. They could make sure that some of the steps were strongly stated. I guess, it's a job for younger people. Our son put it together in a short time. We were not seeing it in the right way. Sorry to have gotten so upset and jumped the gun. Just want Sterling not to get a bad rap out of this. They are nice doors and they look just wonderful in our bathroom. Can hardly wait to use them. Thank you for your web site. It made me feel better both ways. Dave
