Total Incompetence

Sterling National Bank ignored the written request of a customer &;;;;;; allowed a person with no authority to have access to the account of the customer While freezing the account so that the customer could have no access to funds

Loan transfer

Our loan was sold and we were notified by the other company less than a week. Is this legal? I was not sure if it was legit or not, so I called several SNB reps. and they confirmed it. No other help after that.

payments are repeatedly recorded erroneously as late and the company will not remove and update as current when requested through credit dispute.

Atm not working

To whom it may concern, This is the 2nd time in 2 sterling bank locations in Queens, where the machine took my bank card and did not give it back. Its an inconvenience for me to bank this way and come back for my card. Other banks have a phone by the ATM machine ,24 hours. I would like to go to the ATM anytime. Please resolve this issue. This problem happened in Queens, Jamaica location , and Flushing, Fresh meadows, Thanks, Gayle D.

Trying to reach Customer service for a week. They were suppose to call me back I waited so long on the phone. No call back.

I need to speak to customer service. I am holding on for days. They say wait time is thirty minutes but they don't tell you what day. I can't get through to the bank. I need to speak to someone immediately. I am on the phone again right now no one picks up. All they do is use the pandemic as an excuse. Their banking was disgraceful long before the pandemic.

Lack of communication with customers!

I called and waited almost two hours and gave up. This bank has the worst customer service response I ever had to deal with. I need to know how I can deposit checks while out of NY. I cannot sign in on my cell phone, it states that my password or username is wrong or my, yet it works on my computer. What's going on! Can I use an ATM in Florida to make a deposit, if so what bank should I use. Try giving me a call at 516-317-****, I'm sure there are some humans working. Peter Riccardo

Safety Deposit box was sealed Customer service hung up on me !

# 1 I asked the bank to put my fathers name on my safety deposit box in case something happened to me. Well, he passed away now my box is sealed and I have to get a lawyer. # 2 I've tried numerous times to register on line to establish an on line account and I keep getting a response that whoever can't verity my information. When I just called customer service hung up on me. I am thru with this bank. As soon as I get my box unsealed I'm pulling all my accounts out of this bank !

Poor service

The automated system is awful. Customer service is bad and the banking system is worst. Every other week there is some level of incompetence. ATM system goes down too often, I called the bank and wait over 25 minutes to speak to someone, the automated system tells me to call back- even though its supposed to be 24/7.

Poor Customer Service

The card declined at the Stop and Shop Grocery store. On Saturday at 4:30 pm and tried to log in to the computer. Unable to log into on-line service. Tried to call the after hours debt card and the person is just to answer calls and unable re-activate my card or on-line service. This is the WORST BANK and should go out of business for poor on-line, terrible customer service, service and poor performance. Sterling national Bank is unreliable &; poor quality of service to the customers.

I cannot make wise transfer

I received two personal online banking link to access my account for transaction. They ask me make huge number for transfer fee. I don't know why I need pay that huge number for transfer.
