Company refuses to stand by warranty

I bought a stearns and foster mattress in November of 2012 I have all the tags on the mattress. I have tried to speak with the companies. This mattress has destroyed my back. It has brought me health issues. Of medical bills. I will send them the bills The mattress is marked 8/12. I pd over $1600 I just a credit for a new mattress.. They refused to help me CUZ I don't have the receipt/ business is closed, I don't hold receipts for almost 10yrs. They have a 10yr warranty. It almost over. I need to send to attorney general office this complaint. Thank you

It is hard to get anyone to answer

This expensive mattress has sunk and sagged. It has damage to my back, legs, and yes my bladder. My Dr has informed me to.use a air mattress until this is solved. For the longest time I never thought it was my mattress until 4 Dr's told me the same thing. A mri proved it. I may need surgery. I need to have this stearns and foster removed from home I am still within the 10 yr warranty. Please email me ldelbianco2011@***.com

Refund no help. Don't buy from them!

We bought a stearns and Foster mattress in May 2022. After a week of sleeping on it indentations appeared on both sides. I called Stearns and Foster to have it returned. Since then nobody answers my call nor was a pick up date scheduled. My only option is to call the bank and request to have the money returned. July 1st or get the lawyer involved.

I’m very disappointed with them

I called them n I asked to speak to a supervisor she told shes not gonna transfer me to a supervisor.She hung up the phone on me.that was very disrespectful

Not pleased

I contacted the company Stearns Foster because for the second time the mattress went wrong with only 3 months of purchase they informed me that I had to solve it with the store that sold it to me and the store tells me that it is with them this is a shame truth is not a company of respect

I want this to be pick up now and returned

Mattress and platform Was suppose to be free with purchase I already own a sterns and foster but this was a second purchase But with the platform can be felt through the mattress So want to return the mattress I love my other purchase but this totally unexceptionable On top all of this I myself financed the purchase and they put in my husband name on the receipt It was financed in my name

Desperation

These mattresses are wonderful for back problem, however they also create back problems. I notice on all their descriptions they conveniently leave off the mattress weights. I had to lift one of these today and I'm thinking it was 300 pounds. A double hernia special, for sure'

Charity help for elderly cancer patient who need a bed

Need mattress for a cancer patient. Elderly couple in need of a mattress and box spring. 75yr old wife, 66yr old husband, disabled. In treatment at the st claire cancer center in St. Louis Missouri. Wife had back surgery, brain surgery, neck surgery. Please help with stearns and foster mattress. Thank You, Ann

Expensive doesn't always mean better. Read the small print.

Reached out to stearns and foster with a issue concerning our king size mattress that we purchased in 2015 at the recommendation of a VA Dr. He said this was the one he would recommend to help my husbands back issues. Over the last 6. months a hump has developed in the middle of the bed. We called the merchant with whom we purchased the mattress $2,600 they sent a tech out to checkout the problem he saw the hump took some measurements and took pictures. A couple hours later merchant called and said that the hump needed to be at 1 and 1/2 inches an ours is only 1 inch. Called stearns and foster this am and told the same thing. Very disappointed with this company and refusing to help a disabled veteran over a 1/2 inch. Buyer beware and don't expect satisfaction from this mattress company.

Sagging

The saga started about two years ago. We bought a king size Stearns and Foster Ella Grace mattress and box spring. Within a few months, there was a distinct sag on each side. We're not overweight... Stearns and Foster replaced the mattress and box spring with no argument. Yay. Replacement mattress and box spring began to sag within a few months. Stearns and Foster refunded our purchase price. We bought a Sealy Ivy Brook. And within several months it too was sagging. I emailed Sealy customer service - but never heard back. We're leery of buying another mattress and box spring because we fear every brand will end up sagging.

In Pain and Disappointed!!!

I purchased a Sterns and Foster mattress and box spring, from Ali at the Murrieta, CA store. I chose this particular mattress because I was told it would help me sleep better. According to how I sleep, their recommendation was this particular mattress. I spent over $2,100 plus I purchased all the items Ali recommended to us to protect the mattress, in total it was $2,400. Assured me it would make a world of difference in my sleep. WRONG, it got worse!!!!!! I expect a certain amount of indentation while you're on the bed but not this bad. The mattress should plump-up again but this particular one does not. The indentations are so deep that it makes sleeping impossible. I was told by STERNS AND FOSTER that this mattress is suppose to weigh 143 pounds, I say this mattress weighs double that or more. I can't even lift the edges to tuck in the sheets...that's not normal! I started having problems with the mattress within the first couple of months of buying the mattress. Massive sagging, can't sleep, I wake up with body aches all over, headaches, muscle spasms, back pain, neck pain... I'm a side and stomach sleeper and my pains have gotten so bad that I've lost the use of my left arm. I've tried to sleep more on my right side and now, that arm is getting just as bad. I'm in continuous pain, I can't use my left arm to drive. I'm in so much pain I can't function!!!I I contacted the store, they put me in contact with their customer service, they sent a mattress inspector (what a joke). The inspector said I would get a letter in the mail or an email within a week...never got it. I had to contact them after the 3 weeks - was told they sent it to me but couldn't give me a date when. I've called the store, I've called their customer service and all they tell me is "your claim was denied" and you can't put in another claim for another 6 months. I called Sterns and Foster customer service to try to get some help with this issue but was told that only the store where I purchased the mattress can help me. I explained to them that the store will NOT do anything, they just refer me to their customer service with no help. STERNS AND FOSTER COULD CARE LESS ABOUT THEIR CONSUMERS!!!, they WON'T do anything proactive to help and all my calls have fallen on deaf ears. The warranty carried by SIT N SLEEP and STERNS AND FOSTER is an absolute joke. Its totally one-sided as they have all the power. I got a letter of denial for my claim on the mattress, from the inspection company and to add insult to injury, they offered me a discount to purchase another mattress from them...ARE THEY MENTAL?!! I'm thinking lawsuit is a better option. The Consumer Protection Agency needs to be more proactive with these complaints on these type of stores. I will be filing a formal complaint with the Consumer Protection Agency.

Stearns And Foster - Mattress Review from Houston, Texas

I get a mattress set. Sterns and foster.. About a week later I decided to move the furniture in my room around so I pick up mattress and notice it's drenched all from the bottom but the top was dry. I call the furniture place and were very rude and said they would exchange mattress. I go back and want to choose a new bed in plastic. Nothing from the showroom floor but guy say no that a temp u r pedicab would be OK since supposedly it was more expensive. I get home and it has a tag saying bed was sanitized! WTF I was told it was new. So they get mad when I tell them they were wrong and scamming people who lies. They refused to take my mattress said I would have to pay for it anyway so I would lose. I took bed and left it there. Horrible people. Liars and scammers! Oh and just so you guys know they were selling me just matres now box spring for 1400.00

Sterns and Foster KS mattress is crowning in the center.

In October 2013, we purchased a S & F "Jannie" luxury pillowtop mattress (king size) from JARRETTSVILLE FURNITURE. After one week of sleeping on the bed the center began to crown (raise up). With 2 people sleeping on a KS mattress, one seldom sleeps in the middle. Jarrettsville furniture said they could not do anything about this because it is not raised 1 1/2 inches in the center. They told us to monitor it and measure the crown and when it reaches 1 1/2 inches, they will exchange it. We paid $1200 which we thought was a great price. However, at the time of purchase no one said it's king size so sleep in the middle so it does not crown. We also called "Sealy" who now owns S&F. We spoke with a representative from their "customer service" department. She told us it does happen and she clearly understands our concern but we should have moved the mattress 2 inches diagonally every week to allow it to wear evenly. (Something about the foam distribution). She also said that not all the KS mattresses do this. Our next one may not crown even without moving it around. Sealy will not replace this with out the crown being 2 inches above the rest of the mattress. WHY ISN'T THIS REVEALED AT THE TIME OF PURCHASE? Foam distribution, crowning, rotating the mattress so it is diagonal to the frame - come on, if this is not a rip off, I don't know what is. I want everyone to know about this. This mattress was tagged $4300. Sealy and Jarrettsville Furniture should be exposed. If they are aware of this happening then why don't they tell you?
