Scammers

It took a month to get my glasses. When they finally arrived, they had the wrong lenses and wrong frame (they sent me womens glasses). I called customer service 3 times. The store said they were picked up. Then they said they would arrive the next day. Then they were sent to my home (the wrong pair). So I returned for a refund. They did not want to refund even after everything I went through but eventually did. 4 days went by. The store said give it a couple of more days. Now its been over a week. WHAT is going on with your company?!? Nobody at the store has experience, they are all on their phone not helping anyone. The doctor is on a monitor and doesnt speak English. You cant call the store directlyinstead you have to call customer service which is overseas and nobody there knows anything about optics either. What a shady company!!

Poor service

Had eye exam. Fitted with soft Multifocal lenses. I had poor vision. Went back and was fitted for gas permeable lenses. Took a month to get pricing but finally got call. I asked to have them send my prescription and was told I could only get prescriptions after I purchased lenses from them! This is illegal. I have the right to my prescription whether I purchase them at store or not.

Questionable Warranty

In February 2022, I purchased one pair of glasses and three pairs of lenses for other frames I had, Total price was $1,081 for the lot which included $25.00 per set of lenses for a warranty of same. After seven months, one lens on the new frames that I purchased developed a stress crack. When I brought them to the store in Beaumont, Texas, I was told I would have to pay $106 which is 28% of a new lens. Based on that, one lens cost $378.57 or $757.14 for both. I'm thinking wtf?? Is this a warranty or just a way to have the customer pay more. The store manager is to call me back about this when I declined to pay anything in addition to the one-year warranty fee. I'll get back to you when we get a final resolution.

A horrible experience I won’t be forgetting

Horrible service. the manager was super rude and one of the staff members were rude to me too. they use false advertising for same day glasses when they are not available. They wait until after you make payment to tell you you wont get your glasses that day . They refused my money back after. They lie about the terms and conditions I paid almost $100 and they tried to say they would give me $40 back (less than I have paid proof of for the glasses I had bought.) my issue still is not resolved. Id definitely try Walmart vision they were super nice to me after this horrible experience. Still going to get some more legal advice on what I should do

Totally incorrect eye exam- NO REFUND GIVEN

My 19 year old son was home for a short time over Christmas break. He needed new contacts. He had an online eye exam and they gave him the completely wrong prescription. They gave him sample lenses and ordered him contacts. They expected the money right away. We called after a few days had passed. He was already on the road out of state to attend school and play college basketball. He went to EYE MART EXPRESS and saw a real doctor and they gave him the correct lenses. He asked for a refund and it has been almost a few weeks and NO REFUND. The company still has the lenses. We never picked them up. I will call the BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU.Go t

Buyers Beware

They advertised two pairs of Progresses glasses with frames and lenses for$99.00 what I got was one pair lenses No Frames for $167.29. Order was placed 9/27/2021, receive my glasses on 10/25/2021. I live 200 miles away the perception is poor but I thought I could get buy I didn't want to drive a another 200 miles. I had to drive to Phoenix, I put my glasses on two read sings and it was all blurred. I called customer service they said only 30 days warrantee, I said no one told me that! They said they would have the Las Cruces store call me 24 to 48 hours no one called, I called customer service they said we warrantee 30 days and that's that's? POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE I WILL NOT BE BACK

I went for an interview and the woman said she wanted to hire me offered me the job, I explained that I had felony on my record from 6 years Ago

Well she said that Stanton does background checks but my felony had nothing to do with this job so she was gonna contact the regional manager and everything this was this past Saturday, she said she really liked wanted to hire me and was gonna do what she could to help out to see if they would over look this felony, mind you this felony was a burglary crime of stealing a prescription pain medication from a home , not money or personal belongings or prescriptions eyewear. So I called her Monday and told her I had a interview somewhere else and wondered if she heard from them and i said I hope everything works out ok and she was like well Im concerned about the background check coming out ok and its gonna take a week once you get the link which she told me it would take 24 hours the other day. Mind you I never received the link, and I still havent. But she said ti accept the other job if I get it, so I feel she looked me up or she basically discriminated against me without the background check, told me she was hiring me a then she messaged my best friend to come for an interview and she had worked at the same place I had and she was like screw that. So I have friends that are lawyers so they are gonna probably check into this

I went to UNM eye clinic they gave me another prescription it was way different then the 3 prescriptions I got at Stanton. I dont think the people at Stannton know how to give a proper eye exam and I would never reccoment anyone to go to any Stanton eye stores

HORRIBLE experience at Mishawaka Indiana office; Refund requested

I had my first appointment and was told my glasses would be in about 3 business days. Over 2 weeks later, I went in and they had one of the two pairs. They said they had no idea where the other pair was and that I would just have to wait for them to come in. However, I quickly realized the glasses I received were the wrong prescription. I could see more clearly out of my OLD glasses. I could read with my old ones but now everything is blurry up close. I called the store and explained my issue and was told to come back. I came in on time for my 12:45pm appointment. The doctor (Dr. Gish) had just left for his lunch break. I was told I could come back at 2pm. I came back at 2 and waited 15 minutes before he got back from lunch. At 2:15, he called me back for my appointment. I told him that I had scheduled my appointment for 12:45. He replied by telling me, "I go to lunch at 1 so I don't know what to tell you." After he checked my eyes, he told me my "prescription was fine and since you're 41 years old, you need to expect you're just going to have a harder time seeing now". (He actually made that comment several times in the time I was there.) He went on to explain how the lens of the eye works and responds to different prescriptions. He was using terms that a lay person would never have heard of. When I told him I had never heard the terms and didn't really understand, he said, "I've already explained it to you. Maybe, if you can't understand MY explanation, we can go out there in front of the other staff and THEY can explain it in a way you will understand." He told me to come with him. I followed him into the store to two female employees. (2 white women; one a little larger with dark hair and one smaller with light hair). In my presence, he told them I "just didn't understand what he was saying and maybe you two can explain it to her". He then told the women, "I'll leave her here with you" and walked back to the eye appointment area. The two women were very condescending towards me and said, "You shouldn't get upset. He's just trying to help you by explaining how it works". I was almost in tears at this point, having been humiliated in front of these two women and a customer that was near us. I told them I really didn't need to understand the science behind it. I just wanted a pair of glasses that I could see out of. One of the women responded by saying, "Um, yes...actually you DO need to understand!" At this point I asked if I could schedule an appointment with their other optometrist. One of the women replied saying, "We don't have any other optometrists. He's the only one you can see." I decided these women were not helping so I told them I was just going to go. They yelled (from the desk we were talking at in the middle of the store, to the door that I was leaving through) "Yeah! Good luck finding someone to help you somewhere else!" and laughed. I still have the other pair of glasses waiting to be picked up from the store. They are the same (wrong) prescription as the first pair (that I am not wearing because I can't see up close). From the date of my first eye appointment, it has now been over 30 days. It has been a little over a week since the second appointment. At this point, all I want is to get a refund on the 2 pairs of glasses that I can't see out of.

Poor quality of frame construction ,Two pair of glasses that I bought were just expensive readers (1,000.)

I bought into their commercial free eye exam and two pair of glasses 59.00 dollars per pair . first problem glasses took two months to get and then the #2 Problem : perscription was wrong as stated above glasses were just a high price reading glasses my poor vision was was better when I removed glasses . # 3 i owed glasses for 9.5 months and both pairs broke pair #1 the lens seperated from frame , #2 pair the support from ear to frame broke in half . when i complained and took them back to see if they could remedy problem . Stanton said they could but would charge me for new frames and then 22% charge on top for repair . total rip offs they get you with cheap promises from the commercials then after purchase you are on your own even if you buy their insurance oh! forgot to mention their exam is not even done with a real optometrist just computer calibrated machines which in my experience did not work , was told my vison must have changed . so I have just been using my five year old glasses and they work just fine . will never use these thieves again a very bad experience from customer service to product quality. Stanton from Visalia, after months I have not receive reimbursement

Updated by user Oct 18, 2021
So I called once more & still no money reimbursement. Now their story is reimbursement was approved on September 30 & should receive my money back by November 11.

After questioning why I have to wait almost half a year to resolve & receive my money, staff assured me that I would receive check no later than next week. Do I believe this?

No I don't & I won't instill I have it in my hands. This has to be the worst customer service ever

Original review Oct 16, 2021
I order contacts for my daughter's birthday back in July after 30 days and order had not came in but only for one eye staff offered a reimbursement. But she didn't mention since I had paid cash I would receive a corporate check so I waited and called after 2 weeks but another staff say it would take 30 days to process. On September I called cause I still have not received a check and another staff told me corporate checks take 6-8 weeks, so I waited. It's October so I called again cause I have not receive a my money STILL and another staff tells me that well the check was sent out on September the day I called. Long story short Stanton still owes me cause I have not receive nothing

Poor customer service

On August 30th my daughter and I were seen at the Sherman office. From there 4 pair of glasses and contacts were purchased for an amount of roughly 1,200$ as of today 10/7/21 neither of us have glasses or contacts. Is this truly how Stanton optical does business?

Costumer service new boss was rude and nasty

I tried calling. There must have been a bad connection. The nasty rude boss answered, I asked can she hear me that there was a bad connection she never hung up or acknowledged that there was a bad connection so I stated why I had called and she started to say something but never finished there was a pause I could see that we were still connected but she never said anything again. So I said I was driving up to Stanton . I get there and a new male employee was assisting me I noticed the new faces and recognized the new boss was also helping another costumer &;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;; while I was talking to the gentleman she blurted out loud we dont except buckeyes insurance. The new guy was just as confused as I was and slightly embarrassed for both of us we continued to talk and she blurted out again weve never taken buckeyes insurance. So just then out comes a familiar face an employee I recognize and know all to well. She had heard what was going on and in her passing she explained to both me and the new guy what apparently the rude boss should have probably said after excusing her self from the costumer she had been helping. Anyways I thanked her for being professional about it. On my way out the door the familiar face older lady turned towards me and I read her lips. She said what happened! I replied. Shes rude! And low and behold, the rude boss butted in from way across the room trying to defend her rudeness. So I said., you see! I know one thing, Ill never come here again to buy anything else. And if I came back to get my other three glassses adjusted I wouldnt want her to help me. That I was going to complain about her. So I am. ,,, this Stanton optical was the best thing that ever happened to me. In the past 3 years they have helped me so much. So nice patient and sensitive and polite. Time after time after time. So I gave them such a good customer service review that! The corporate office sent me an email to tell me how my review had so many likes over several hundred people read it. They deserved all the credit for making me feel like it was a personal experience to get that royal treatment! But now! I hate this store on Airport Highway in Holland Ohio. Spring meadows. Apparently the boss now! Was the boss then! & has no clue! and needs to step back behind the rock she came from. She sucks! I hate her!

Called first to clarify . JOKE ON ME.. A waste of time.

I am absolutely beside myself, first, to put your face in a machine is a dangerous situation when there are so many people in the store. I have had a sudden change I my vision. As a person who never required glasses in three months. I have lost my ability to see so severely, I have progressed from 1.25 readers to 3,25 in 3.5 months. In addition if the staff there were already not pay8ng attention, I asked everyone I had the so-called pleasure to meet with if the eye extract which I was made to pay $98.00. For which Stanton better refund, advertised $150.00 which I purchased through Groupon, the deal I bought in was to cost me 500.00 bait and switch is the understatement . of the year. As a person. With a major medical problem which is guru general me Double and blurry vision. They were so bad, they think I can see out of a prescription that isnt right, I have not been able to use 2.0 glasses in a while, I asked if the virtual optometrist looks for diseases of the eyes. I took the damn rx, and my wife paid the $100.00 I could use my $150.00, voucher I was given, but that would cost me more than the deals they PUSH. They are less than honest with me, it took a huge effort to get to Stanton as I am having serious health issues although my MD said he would like to know what the optometrist says, to determine if I have a autoimmune of the eye, which I 1000% do, So much more you probably . Wont change, Dr JN SilnaHeath
