changing the blade is imposable. Their are too many parts to get it back together, and when it finally does o together the blade can not be moved. This after several attempts. I'm sorry to say that this is the first time I have ever complained about a tool. This the worst. I have owned Stanley tools for over 70 years and have told my kids and grandkids to buy the best that you can afford. They should last a life time. It is dumb to require that I enter at least 100 words when a few should do the job. words words words words words words! I guess that I did not add 100.
