Poor Experience (but they knew it and paid me back)

I was targeted and sold the opportunity, onboarded and then explained my business and model, reply was "we will get back to you with a strategy and budget that suits your business"....... Nothing for about two weeks..... Once I followed up and requested to cancel, I was provided with some poor reason as to why I wasn't followed up in the first place. They did do one thing really well and on time.....The refund......On time and as promised

WARNING - ABSOLUTE SCAM. ZERO DELIVERY, MAXIMUM MONEY DRAIN

My partner explained her budget was extremely small as she started an online business to be a stay at home mum. Due to Sponsored Linx her business has been sent broke. Their customer care manager Ahna even agreed that she should receive a FULL refund for the misleading sales tactics employed by their telemarketers and total lack of performance by her numerous account managers. Aparently Sponsored Linx senior management cares more about draining money from vulnerable small businesses than they do about providing an actual service. Read the independent reviews, the real star rating is 1.8 and they are known for being a scam.

Wasted money

Terrible service. I feel as though I wasted my money on them. Didn't get anything in return. They didn't show up to our scheduled calls ( twice) even after I gave them that feedback. Do not waste your money on this company.

Scammed by these guys

Started charging me a weekly service fee before even setting up the ads, I cancelled all the links to them after not getting any replies to my emails and then all of a sudden they start calling me..... I also think that they themselves are the cause of the impressions and clicks because after I cancelled their access to my accounts and without making any changes to the way they set everything up , all of a sudden my impressions and clicks almost went to zero...... Are they clicking on my google adds to make it look like my traffic is higher?????

Stop calling us!!!!!!!!!!

We get a call from them every week and from so many numbers in QLD!!! it is truly unbelievable!! if you have to change your number so your potential customers cannot block it - its says a lot about your business - its a scam!!!!!!! So far 30 different numbers are recorded in our system! We have told you to stop calling but nothing works - We have told our staff not answer any calls from QLD!

Just a quick thankyou.

I have to say, one of my guilty pleasures is to jump online at night time with a rum and coke and read the ongoing, awful reviews that genuine staff and clients post about SponsoredSux, GetMoreBullshit and DisruptNothing (the worst companies in australia to work for, period). Really, I'd like to thank the clueless owners of the company, especially, the *** CEO for helping to generate the type of awful reviews that gives me such great pleasure to read. Thanks to these reviews, I don't even need to look at *** anymore, I'm satisfied. So thankyou again and regards, Mick Featherstone

Resolved: Do not use this company

Updated by user Apr 23, 2018
Sponsored Lynx agreed that I had not been made fully aware of their process during the initial sales call and have agreed to refunding me the last few weeks and crediting my account for the next weeks to see if they can get us some better results.

I have been with Sponsored lynx for about three weeks now and their campaign has cost me over $1130 and they have only generated 1 lead. Their sales people are very smooth, they go through your google ad-words account and tell you how bad it is, followed by an offer that would seems reasonable. I was told that if I upped my spend to $50 a day they would be able to generate me between 1 and three leads. After $1130 down the drain and 1 lead generated I feel that I have been taken advantage of. I have read the other comments and it seems that they will continue to charge me now even after I have cancelled and after their dismal performance. Stay away from this company.

Good customer service but not impact on businesses

Got contacted by SponsoredLinX in November and kept on calling back saying that they will be a positive impact on my sales. Decided to give them a try. My sales was sliding but going with them had little to no impact. Sales my kept on going down with Xmas 2017 being worse (down by 40%). Pausing my ad for 2 weeks did not see my sales underperform any worse (was still getting similar number of queries through generic search). The point being SponsoredLinX has no impact but cash flow was worse off after paying their setup and weekly fees.

What happens in Sponsoredlinx

Sponsoredlinx is a business that specialises in churning a huge number of clients to gain the cashflow from setup costs and the first couple of weeks of management fees. Basically its a churn and burn operation with little regard for results and customer service. They run about 120 clients per manager where the industry average is about 60. This means that managers have no time to properly manage their clients and so clients get billed pretty much for 0 service. Average active period of a client with this company is about 3 weeks. When it comes time to cancel, sponsoredlinx uses the unethical practice of making it very difficult for clients to cancel and will keep their billing active for as long as possible so as to squeeze out another couple of weeks of management fees out of the unsuspecting client. Its the same practice used by alot of gyms around the country to maximise cashflow and they rely on clients to not complain about it. Seriously, sponsoredlinx have burned many thousands of small unsuspecting businesses in australia and continue to do so on a daily basis. A couple of points for finding a credible adwords management company – 1. Ask the company how many clients per manager they have. If it is 70 or under then you will get good customer service. If its under 50 you will get great customer service. But if its over this, its just another churn and burn operation and you are their next victim. 2. Ask about their billing policy. Be absolutely clear on the policy and do not proceed if you are uncomfortable with it. If they cross the line with it while you are client, be prepared to complain and threaten action and you will get you money back immediately, as they are desperate to avoid negative publicity. 3. Ask about the experience of your manager. A good manager has a couple of solid years of experience. Most sponsoredlinx staff have 1 months experience as the place is a revolving door with staff. I think the staff are churned almost as highly as the clients due to high levels of staff dis-satisfaction.

Appalling customer service

I have used Sponsoredlinx for the past three years and am appalled at their shocking level of service. The sales team promise the world and do not deliver! My nominated google add word consultants changed every three months. I was always told the same story i.e. ... 'staff member has personal problems and we are not sure when they will be coming back'. Bought it the first time but became a tad sceptical when I heard the same story with the second consultant. My google addwords stopped for three weeks and they were non the wiser. Still managed to deliver excellent reports even though my campaign was not running. Total sham. I would not recommend them

Avoid Sponsoredlinx

This mob milked me for 4 years. They promised the world and delivered nothing except for some obscure, noncompetitive keywords that they chose. These key words may have ranked number one, but geuss what, nobody ever surched for them so these rankings were a ***. Their trick is to talk the talk and milk you for as long as possible until you finally walk away pissed off. They also have a high turnover of staff, so you don't end up with the same case manager that you start with. I regret giving them the benefit of the doubt for so long as my competitors reall got the jump on my business in the market place. Avoid them at all costs

Current Employee @ SponsoredLinX

This is the SCAM-ZILLA of them all... We must do everything it takes to keep the customer to even 'appearing surprised' when knowing it was our fault... It all seems legitimate and you are promised the world when starting, however within 2 months the sugar hit fades really quickly. I can guarantee this place will be investigated by Four Corners or ACA/ASIC/FAIRWORK one of these days. The ingrained culture of fear and intimidation is at breaking point. They run their sales team (almost) like an underground boiler-room. They have played musical chairs with senior staff within the organisation as the degree of incompetence is staggering. The pressure they place on their client managers is sweatshop-nightmare quality, I have seen some good people crumble with depression and who cry daily from the stress. In fact our CEO has been linked with criminal M.Featherstone who ran boiler room call scam centres and linked with organised crime, old Mick attended a 'Sponno' Christmas party or two! What else? Oh yes, they promise the world to their clients as long as they keep their weekly fee coming in from adword packages, seo and so-forth. Don't believe me? Google 'SponsoredLinx SCAM' or visit whirlpool and search SponsoredLinx. The fun doesn't end there, they have a subsidiary company 'GMT' or Get More Traffic based on the Gold Coast run by a dictator type character General Manager Kerry Anderson who has bullied staff over the years, I've even witnessed him engaging with 'yelling matches' with the TL for GMT based in our Valley Office. I could go on, please 'google' and do some research before joining, unless you are that desperate for money.

SEP Assassination

Be careful who you let into your house!@ When trying to log into my website at http://www.sydneyaccessconsultants.com.au, it redirects to http://www.harmreductionaustralia.org.au. The public (frontend) side of my site seems ok fortunately, but the backend admin side is not accessible through the normal user interface. My host advises that the database used for http://www.sydneyaccessconsultants.com.au has a divert reference to http://www.harmreductionaustralia.org.au, which is causing the issue. I personally built the site, entirely from blank, using joomla extensions etc over the last couple of years. This is the first time I’ve encountered Harm Reduction Australia. It clearly wasn’t my doing. The only other peeps with admin access to my joomla database was http://www.Sponsoredlinx.com.au I’ve been a customer for a couple of years where sponsoredlinx.com.au adequately and professionally operated my Adwords campaign. Set and forget for me, which was very pleasant. Because of that level of service, I was enticed in Aug 2016, when I was contacted by their sales team, to engage in an SEO package with Sponsoredlinx, and I proposed to pay $850 or so a month in advance, to whip my site into SEO shape so that I coud drop the google adwords campaign in exchange for much more organic traffic. After the first month of the SEO process, I was reasonably dis-satisfied and cancelled the service agreement. That’s apparently when the fun really began. Now my entire backend diverts to someone else's front end and Im entirely locked out of my own site. Upon reflection, it hasn’t been the smartest SEO decision from SponsoredLinx, unless of course, their client is Harm Reduction Australia. Instead of promoting Disabled Access, my access has been disabled. I’m struggling to think of a reason why I would pay for that. In the past few years I have recommended sponsoredlinx to numerous architects but it’s difficult to recommend them so highly, or to recommend that anyone adopt their SEO services, in light of their latest efforts for Sydney Access Consultants.

An Ex-Employee. What Really Happens.

You start and your training is 1 week (a few hours on a few days) where they bring you up to speed on Ad Words, It's not enough - but it's better then sitting down and saying GO! That's the best thing you'll read here, so prepare yourself. Most Client Managers (CM's) have 70 Clients, quite a few have 120. You're tasked with calling most of these once a week and giving them an update on their account, how it's tracking and what you've worked on. These calls generally go for at least 5 minutes if not longer - now If you have 120 Clients, and you're contacting 60 Per Week for 5 minutes each call..well You're going to be flat out doing that not even including what the clients actually are paying for, Ad Words Management. When you're assigned a new client, so many times I would call up sales and laugh at them for handing me some poor person who didn't even understand what Ad Words is, they had a budget of $5 per day and didn't know the difference between Google and a Banana. (not their fault) Once you have a client (poor ***) you spend the 1st 2 weeks making sure they feel accommodated and then they go on the "ill work on that later" list - and the cycle repeats itself. Overall, this may sound odd - I'm glad I worked there, It taught me how to handle insane stresses and treat businesses with respect and understand them - The managers are mostly nice people but the business model that the entire company runs on is broken.
