Cancel account months ago new account started in my name and money taken from my bank account
I canceled my account. I spoke you about three months ago about three weeks ago $45 was taken from my bank account and I do not know why I cannot find an account with my email. I do not want the account as we had my identity has been stolen I know who has been. Its one of someone and it was a good friend they know all of my information it keeps happening I have made police reports and nothing has happened. They just do not care. I also had two iPhones, stolen in my car stolen, and the police did nothing at all. I want my money back from this company and a little bit of a break if any one and I would like to pursue charges on whoever started the account Im not sure how to approach this if anyone can help please do so. My name is Lauralee Street and that is the name on the card that was used Virginia well, it was either Lauralee Street or Joseph Antilla but I believe the car that was used was LauraLee Street and the last four digits of that card are 1933. It is a MasterCard evening. I have had to cancel it and Im waiting on a new one, but this just keeps happening. This *** that stole my identity has stolen my life she has gotten accounts in my name my boyfriends mom fathers by 17 year old daughters, she install the server on my router and the cable technician found 17 energy to five devices. She has 50 phone number for me. I have to dispute my credit report from all three bureaus due to her. I can afford to do all this and pay $45 to Spokeo its probably her using it to get more information to meet you still more things for me . I can be contacted at 42320****.

They advertise FREE reverse phone lookout but then add a charge and ask for your credit card number before they will give you the name
They Advertise one free look up and then charge for it. State name is free but it is not. Can understand asking you to pay for complete report but false advertising to say name is free.

When you ask for one basic report on one person Spokeo will charge you two or three additional charges on the same day. You can end up with almost $100 of charges on the same day by their deceptive
Overcharges and overcharges. Deceptive practices. DO NOT USE FOR A SIMPLE BACKGROUND CHECK. You will end up with many more charges to your account.

Still no refund. This is a scam to get you to pay $.99 for a one time information on a person, then a week later you will get charged $25without your knowledge. Bad News Outfit!!!

I used their advertisement for $.99 cents (which I paid) to lookup up info on 1 person. A week later I received a bill for $25.90 for a subscription which I never asked for or authorized. Spokeo also made the payment a recurring charge. I contacted Spokeo via email asking for a refund. No reply. Since I used PayPal as my payment source, I decided to file a complaint with PayPal. PayPal said it was my fault because I never read Spokeo's conditions for using the $.99 advertisement. Be careful if you use Spokeo as they will subscribe you to a recurring monthly payment without any notification. Regarding PayPal, I have always had a positive result with them but??????????

Complete scam
Zero should be a rating. One star is way too generous for this company. I only authorized one search for $0.95 and they enrolled me in a monthly subscription for $25/month without my knowledge. I didn't catch the charge until reviewing my next credit card bill and when I called to have the $25 charge refunded since I never authorized it, they refused to refund it. All they would do is end the monthly subscription early and refund me for the remainder of the month. So I ended up paying $15 for nothing. Complete scam. I don't know how they get away with this.

Charging my account for no reason
I had a free trial with these people and cancelled within the alloted time and received an email saying that they had cancelled and my account would not be charged any further. Well you guessed it I received notice from my bank about this charge and sent more than one email asking for my refund. One email I got from them actually asked for my email address! I guess they are too lazy to try and do anything themselves and still after 2 days have no resolution. Of course I will have to wait God knows how long for the refund. That is very unfair and they did not ever apologize or anything. I think true customer service is a thing of the past.

Rip Off Game is to sign you up and get 24.95 but search engine sucks
I was looking for one contact, signed up for trial, search was unsuccessful. A week later they charged me for a month of service and on a reoccuring basis. Crap customer service as well.

FRAUDE NO CHARGED AUTORIZATION
Ordered a single report and paid $0.95 for it. Now I have been charged for a full account $24.95. No where in the order page was it clearly noted that I was signing up for a trial. I want my money back. Looking at the number of complaints regarding this issue, clearly this is their moneymaker, not their useless service. User's recommendation: Stay far far away from Spokeo. Preferred solution: Full refund. Advertisements

Not really sure! Paid 95 cents to look up a friends address next thing I know my checking account has been hit for 24.95 monthly subscription! I never agreed to that ever! Tried to resolve thru PayPal to no avail getting rid of PayPal next!
