Disgraceful Construction

Maybe, but I would be extra cautious and check for serious construction flaws.

It was recently discovered that over 90% of screws used to attach the kitchen and bathroom cabinetry to walls didn't anchor into wall studs. Instead, most support screws simply penetrated drywall, and nothing else. There many were other screws penetrating drywall with no studs anywhere nearby. Altogether, this clearly shows blatant negligence on the part of the builder. Improper construction, with no inspections whatsoever. I'm thankful for discovering this problem before all the cabinetry fell off the walls. Most screws missed penetrating the studs by only an inch or so. No attempts at installing additional screws were made. Solitaire employees simply repeated the same mistake again and again! In addition, screws which did make it into studs commonly cracked the flimsy 1x1 supports they were intended to hold, making them almost useless.

Shotty craftsmanship
Water soaking through Sheetrock in the walls in brand new home, everything crooked and not installed properly. Looks like a group of toddlers built the home, would be nice if the crew they had building these things before moving back to Duncan tried or cared even a little bit . The craftsmanship of this home is a joke, and the inside of the walls have stayed wet and moldy probably since they sit it here 3 years ago. Finally got bad enough you could smell it and it soaked through Sheetrock where you could notice.

HVAC System doesn’t work on New Home
I purchased a new Solitaire home. The HVAC only worked for a few month & the refuse to fix it. They claim they cant get the parts. Adam refuses to return my calls.

Refusal to repair in the first year.
Home was delivered defective and they refuse to repair on delivery or in my first year. Carpet was split, and cabinets are completely different colors. We bought from the Stillwater, Oklahoma store. Lied to from the beginning.

Hot water lines get a pin hole in them
Water got sheet rock wet and floor and have not looked below to see if it got insulation wet again that I replaced after leak below floor

In Odessa tx I bought a new home water heater came defective even tho they had 1 year warranty they send to the manufacturer which they never came 3years has came I had to pay a plumber to fix my issue

my home flooded,faulty plumming, Their guy chris was here for 4 days. and the work he did was amature at best. now the floor boards are creeking . the drywall was not put in flushed with the wall and is slightly bowed out. the texturing is awefull. Now they want to send him back to fix the job he screwed up in the first place. They refuse to hire a licence professional to inspect the rest of the plumbing and fix the electric . solitaire homes want the same person to fix electric and plumbing that screwed up on the dry wall. solitaire say's that he is cerified by solitaire homes. I am not comfortable with this.

Poorly built home
Poorly built home A month after moving into this place the tile lift it up in the bathroom there was paint and caulking all over the place I still havent gotten it all up the tiles above the countertops were all crooked you could see the drywall be behind the plugs you go to plug something into a plug throughout the house and the plugs will move a month after moving in that cabinet door fell off you can tell that the cabinets were put in slightly crooked and the screws were putting crooked so once the cabinet doors start falling off you really cant screw them back on because of the press board wont handle it the electric is never worked properly in my bedroom not even seven months after moving in the plumbing busted in the laundry room which flooded all the way into my bedroom now theyre saying that theyre theyre gonna dry out the drywall and not replace it thats disastrous loss gallons and gallons of water Im being told that theyre not gonna replace the water even though it was their plumbing that caused me to lose all the water this company is known for putting Band-Aids on things that years later youre gonna end up having to pay to fix please do not buy a Solitaire home it wasnt built properly in the factory and when you go to buy one you get promises of the moon and the stars and the delivery is not there I regret buying this home this is the worst built home Ive ever experienced the kitchen floor is uneven theres something hard thats inside my carpet that they mustve left underneath the carpet when they put the carpeting in I mean really they put the least amount of time in the least amount of effort of putting this place together and then look at you like theres something wrong with you because you sayWhat is obvious

Electric wiring loss of power in lights and plugins !!!
Have had the company come in and repair the lights to get them to stay working, after two years, now twenty years later the plugins have lost power in one room and all plugins have good receptacles ???

Very disappointed with staff and prices and I give all 0’s on ratings
I we have dealt with 3 different solitaire locations 1rst with Denison which we were going to buy from but all we got were lies and deception then Tyler which were rude and no help and finally with ft worth general manager heard my dealings with other 2and said he would give us the best deal of everyone after we drove 100 miles the deal was the worst he was $12000 higher I believe you should and train thlook at your dealers closer or that may be the way you do things as a company

We purchased a property that has a brand new Solitaire Mobile home already on it. There are plugs in the kitchen that do not work as well as the air conditioner whistles badly. We called solitaire homes where it was purchased, they told us that warranties are not transferable and they would have to get everything approved through corporate. So we called corporate and all they could tell us is that they would give us the schematics for the wiring to help us out. This is the worst customer service I have ever seen have ever seen. Definitely do not recommend them for customer service. The home is beautiful, however I would have liked to see them stand behind their products.

Totally disappointed and frustrated
To start, day one they knew I needed my front door replaced. They didn't order the door till 6 weeks later and said it could be up to 8 months for it to come in. The whole door jam needs replaced. Let's water from rain in. Air gaps, allows wind and bugs in. Then the carpet layers , when built, totally trashed the sheet rock at the carpet cut line, in the whole home. Cheap shoddy repair. Something you don't notice when buying. A/C is junk. There was no clean up on this home. Another thing you don't notice till you get moved in. I vacuumed 3 times, filling bag up with sheet rock and other dust, ect. I could go on about the lack of quality workmanship. Lack of concern all the way around, from beginning till now. to noonnnoLwormect. ect.

Electrical concerns
We bought our double wide Solitaire in 2007 ... lots of electrical issues, cannot figure out the GFCI circuitry...we have actually had an electrical fire in the attic due to what the electrician said was improper wiring-breaker only partially blew. Has anyone else who purchased in 2007 having electrical issues.

We have tried to work two deals with this company. The first one out of OKC and feet were dragging. We pulled out, second in Ardmore lot. I noticed on our contract that the numbers did not match from front to back at payoff. Went in to ask about them our salesman Serjio Quiroz stated we could just leave, and he would sell that home to someone else. Then threatened us with a DO NOT SELL TO list. We took our complaint all the way to the top Pete Hogsted he then placed us on the DO NOT SELL TO list. He did not stop there we went to another mobile home business Henches out of Texas and Oklahoma. Working on a deal and the manager comes in and tells us we are free to buy our home from someone else they will not sell due to Pete had made a call. This over due to we found a problem in their contract that they drew up. So beware of doing business with any Solitaire they are all under Pete Hogsted. Samantha Mims

Frustrated with fixing things

well today, I'm going around changing electrical sockets and switches because they keep causing these "mini" fires from loose or broken connections because they used cheap product as well as using the "push" connections, that anyone with any sense wouldn't use. Junk just junk.

What hasn't broken? I've owned for 9 years. Leaky tubs, faucets, broken faucet knobs, HVAC, leaky window, roof vent, electrical switch "fires" or shorts due to loose wires, had to rip open bottom insulating cover 4 times due to leaks. Poor welds in frame and a weird spike looking thing sticking through the peak of the roof. Was just replacing leaky kitchen faucet today after working on shower leak which made me think to write this review. Constantly working on this thing. It was cheap, I knew better but I needed cheap at the time. I don't know why everyone repeats how good Solitaire is, I can't be that unusual.
