Wedsite technical support

Cant talk to support person for technical support on website I dont know why I need to type more words when my issue takes less than 100 words skews me symbols

They make it very difficult to retrieve your data

I have used SmugMug to back up 444,606 images, stored under roughly 76 root folders which contain a total of 4967 galleries. All of this data is stored on Smugmug. When I attempted to back this data up to a local drive, i.e. download this data in its current file structure to a hard drive in our office, there was no solution. The only solution they have is to download each gallery individually... in this case, make 4967 download requests, which all require multiple clicks, or use a 3rd party software which has a set of its own unpleasant challenges This is dumbfounding considering Smugmug is a tech company undoubtedly with engineers who would be able to write code to provide this solution in no more than 8hrs including testing, let's say 16hrs to be generous... let's say 40 hrs to for the *** of it. The point is, they CAN do this, however, they have chosen not to. I contacted the support and even reached out to the CEO to express my issue and the not-so-complicated solution to provide users with the ability to retrieve a backup of their data. Their response was essentially - go kick rocks. The only conclusion here, is they have chosen not to do this in an attempt to trap you as a customer. You can't leave unless you want to dedicate a painful amount of resources to retrieving the data that you trusted SmugMug to manage. Predatory business practice. Very disappointed with SmugMug, its leadership, the CEO Don MacAskill, and the COO Chris MacAskill for choosing not to do something that would require very little of you to make things easier for loyal customers. Shame on you.

Husband had account with Smugmug. He is deceased and need to cancel his account.

Yearly bill just arrived for SMUGMUG mid June. Richard N. Pigossi, my husband, had account with SMUGMUG. He died in April. I want to get some information on how he used SMUGMUG, make sure if I cancel account, none of his photos will be lost. Have tried to log in with password but keep getting told password does not work - but it is the one he used... so making contact this way. Would appreciate if someone could call me.

Issues transferring photos from my desktop to SmugMug

So for sometime now. I cannot download my photos To SmugMug from my device. I used be able to go to photos and select an album. Then I had to drag pics to SmugMug. Then I could only drag less than 50 at a time creating duplicates sometimes. But yesterday I was unable to move any from my desktop to my smug mug. The smug mug doesnt allow my to select from my device> photos > then pick and album. It just shows me about 20 percent of my library. And not the current pics I just downloaded. Can some one help me ?! Thanks so much

Cancelation

Need to cancel and it seems almost impossible. I got almost nothing out of it. Please cancel as soon as possible. I couldnt not leave a voice message or talk to anyone! I dont want to have to dispute the transaction.

Trying to get confirmation of my order

Smugmug has absolutely no phone-based customer support. All support has to go through email... which would be OK if it were fast. I'm still waiting to be contacted.

Bad pictures bad service worst place to do business would mark them 0 on everything won't do anything with them and tell all my friends the same
