HORRIBLE
These people at Galaxi Way in Concord have such a poor work ethic. You make an appointment and they don't even register it in their computer. They do not send you a courteous reminder of it. So whe you show up they're not aware of this. Then they submit a line of credit for you if you have medical and can not pay without your knowledge. Also, they schedule appointments for you when you have not consented to this. How is it that these guys are even in business. They have the wrong team, the wrong method, lack of compassion and no ethic.

Smile care concord is what is wrong with america today. No customer service but expect big bucks for terrible care. My old-school oral surgeon says welcome to the new age of dentistry,I told him no way as I would rather pay an old dentist cash than tollerate these wallet raping *** and thier retard receptionists.

Awful poor customer service and the Doctor yell at me spitting while my child been in pain and because of his staff big mistake they took it out on me and my child We left I could hear them talking in Farsi and another thing when I was there I notice that people still under medications were thrown out The to driveway so unsafe NO WHEELCHAIR. ..THIS POOR HISPANIC LADY CARRIED HER FAMILY TO CAR SHE SO SMALL THE TWO PEOPLE DIDNT HELP THIS POOR WOMAN ! Santa Rosa Smilecare exam areas are disgusting! When I exspress my concerns to the assistant she told me the Corporate office cut cost by terminating the cleaning service. They now make the dental assistants responsible for keeping a CLEAN and STAROL exam area. The trash can looked like the trash can/ashtray you see in front of a seven elevan store. The tile flooring is old & worn out, you can see the cement floor underneath. The arm of the dentest chair was torn. The windows were gross. There was a tray left on a counter in the walk way with bloody gauze and tools on it.

Coast Dental Inc: The CDI Group, Inc: Gold Plan: My Smile: Gentle Dental: Smile Generation Financial: Pacific Dental Services: THEY ARE ALL THE SAME GROUP!! Advertised $59 ended up paying much more. Sold me Dental insurance, but it isn’t really dental insurance. DECIET, MISLEAD, UNINFORMED. My email address is: stopdentalscams@***.com This is what happened to me. I found this place online while searching for an affordable dentist. Their advertisement was “$59 Cleaning, Exam & Digital X-rays, regular value of at least $290.” WOW that’s a great deal right… I made my appointment in no time flat. Once I arrived there they took x-rays of only one side of my mouth. From there I was put into the exam chair where I was instructed to wait for the dentist to come in and evaluate/read my x-rays. The dentist explained that I would need a series of expensive dental procedures done of which he would be able to start treatment that day. The front desk gal then came in and explained to me my total cost would be $3553. But they can sign me up for Dental insurance right then and it would lower my cost to only $2406.. The one time cost for my Dental “Insurance” was only $111. Wow Dental insurance for only $111. and my dentist office can sell it to me… I was in severe pain that day and went ahead and signed up for my dental insurance and started my first treatment. I was not provided any information or discloser about this “Dental Insurance”. At the end of my visit I was given something called “Financial Arrangement” which listed the treatment plan expected treatment and cost along with “DENTAL PLAN ENROL 1”. I was then asked to pay my office visit total for that day which came to $256.. After I paid it they gave me an itemized receipt showing I paid FOR: a single x-ray, additional x-ray and photo intra oral cam for a total of $256. They also, gave me a copy of my 2 page “Financial Arrangement”. (3 pages in total) After getting home I realized I had no idea the name of my new Dental Insurance company. About two week later I receive a membership ID card from “my smile dental plan”. On the back of my ID card it says, “DISCOUNT DENTAL PLAN”, in smaller print it says, “THIS IS NOT AN INSURANCE PLAN’, and in even smaller print it says, “Administered by The CDI Group, Inc. At that point I knew something was not right. After doing some research I discovered that CDI Group, Inc. is “Coastal Dental Inc”, “Coast Dental Inc”, ”CDI Group”, “Coast Dental Plans”, they own the company “my smile dental plans”. They are a Dental management organization that provide administrative and management services to dental offices and groups. The gal who sold me this “Dental Insurance” at the dentist office is an employee and/or independent contractor employed by Coast Dental Inc. They have many partner companies including but not limited to, Pacific Dental services (this is who does the billing and collections), Smile Generation Financial (their credit card), Heartland Dental, Option One Dental Plan. I took this information to a Class Action Attorney along with hundreds of reviews and complaints about the questionable conduct and practice of these companies nation wide. He has agreed to file a class action case against them on behalf of the consumers. If you are a consumer that has been deceived, mislead or tricked into signing up for any of their services such as, Dental Insurance, Dental Plans, Dental Credit Cards or have been told you need unnecessary expensive dental work by any of these groups. My husband had his dentures done through smile care. Theyve never fit. They tried putting a "polymer gel" on th hem to "fix" the problem. In rhe next room was a man having the same problem. Third visit to fix them today, we want our money back!!

THEY *ALL* must be the SAME!!
HOW DO I MAKE IT SHORT? I went to Santa Rosa Smile Care to have some Tori's removed from under my tongue! Gave me novicane & I NEVER SAW ANYONE FOR ALMOST 40 minutes! I got up & LEFT told my son I will NEVER GO BACK HERE!! THERE had been OTHER ISSUE"S but not enough space to say it. Paid out of pocket (2000.00) to get them done! AN NOW my insurance is saying I can go to DELTA CARE @479 Stony Point & I HOPE THIS ISN'T the one CONNECTED TO THE OLD ONE!!! I WILL NOT USE THEM!!

Sent to collections when they owed me money!
Smilecare over charged me during my visits. Normally, I would wait for Explanation of Benefits to ensure I am paying correct amount, but they insisted on up front payment. I didn't know until I was sent to collections without notice, and I only discovered this because I monitor my credit. After researching the payment history and checked with my EOBs, I discovered they over charged me. Their office manager Greta refused to address this issue and was very rude. They took months to resolve and I had to get insurance company involved. I'm still waiting for my refund and for them to remove negative item from my credit report!

This is a continuation...posted about four....im more than pissed..i was traumatized today....the dentist at Vallejo Smile Care who is probably not even licensed. ...first he call me "sweet" and is very condescending, but i told him that he may call me dr.bachmeier, or ma'am, he then said to me "Im not treating you then, leave" i got up and started to walk out. At that point i was only thinking to call my dentist in Elk Grove to tell him what happened in hope f getting this resolved thru Smile Care and to get treatment. He FOLLOWED me and yelled, " this patient is refusing treatment! "....i made it clear that I am not refusing treatment and walke d back to the room. This is when staff began to consciously callude with the innapropriate, condescending, abusive dentist to get thier story straight.,...after they discussed among themselces, the dentists helper announces to me that the dentist is refusing to treat me. I walked out and asjed the billing lady the name of the dentist. ...bothe the billing lady and dentist helper demanded to know wht I want that information. Well, for one thing I have a right to that information and dont have to tell them why, but i did respond to thier gang style interrogation and let them know I was going to request that the issue be resolved through a confluct resolution and that if not granted that opportunity i would file a formal complaint against the dentist and Smile Care....they then retaliated by threatening to call security. This is traumatizing. I have never been trated and abused in this mannet in a health care setting before. Suffice to say as mentioned in previous posts on this issue, they either purposefully lied, with intent to decieve...about the correct spelling of the perpetrator/ dentist name to conceal that information from me and to prevent me from filing a complaint, or the perpetrator is not licensed in the State of Ca and I was not informed or given the opportunity to make an informed decision. Regardless, i left the building upon request and thiet gang style.bully tactics were not necessary, nor were they effective because it is clear that they used these tactics in an effort to bully me and make me afraid to file a complaint...but im filing charges in addition to the complaint now because this kind of traumatizing abuse is absurd, over the top, and unheard of. If SmileCare plans t endorse this kind of behavior then Im calli.g for a.real LIVE investigation....i am a very credible petson and have never fiked a law suit or charges before....but this way of treati.g hard working Califrnia citizens who happen to also be older whit overwright females who are mature doctors themselves and dont want to be called "sweetie" has to STOP. If the dentist is offended by a woman who doesnt want to be called "sweetie" then he needs to work in anothe profession.

Smilecare Dental - Urgent Care Service Review from Citrus Heights, California
Medi-Cal assigned me to Smile Care. I called seeking care for a huge toothache and newly cracked molar. The operator was friendly until she found out I had Medi-cal, then told me they do not accept Medi-Cal. Then why does your website say you do, and why did MediCal assign me there? She answered that TECHINICALLY they take it but they "don't like" to because sometimes Medi-Cal doesn't pay. Then suddenly she said she could give me an appointment 6 mos away. I asked what the policy was for urgent care. She said they don't have any. I asked if she could tell me where I might go since I was in pain. She said in a voice that dripped with disbelief in my idiocy, "Urgent Care center?!" Then hung up on me. The woman must have thought I was talking about pain not related to DENTISTRY. Why would I call a dental office and ask for help with anything besides tooth pain?! That scenario happened 3 months ago. I have been in pain ever since and have no idea what to do. I've lost 20 lbs for avoiding eating and chewing, I've had 4 rounds of antibiotics when the abscess begins to get angry, because that's all urgent care can do for my tooth. Because Obama Care increased the number of people on Medi-Cal, all dentists taking Medi-cal are full and I cannot switch Dentists.

Our approved dental work went to collections
We've been going to Smilecare for almost 2 years and in that time we've never received a noticed of debt owed. We've tried contacting them several times for information and to pay it. All we want to do is pay our debt. We were given their corporate number for Costal Dental in Tampa, FL. We received a call from a collection agency recently saying our bill was overdue. From we were told our dental insurance covered everything. Our insurance says no and Smilecare pushed on the extra work thinking it would be approved. Costal Dental and Smilecare now refuses to talk to us about this. They redirected to us to a very unresponsive representative, Stephanie Richards, patient quality assurance coordinator for Smilecare. She told us that we should just pay it and she can think about providing us a refund. Poor communication.
